Chapter 174: Power of Dokai!

Krittttt!!!

Thunder Dragon flapped its wings.

Its small body transford into a streak of purple-black lightning shooting up into the air.

In the blink of an eye, currents of electric light erupted around its body. The scales on its body stood on end. The two small horns on its head accumulated a dazzling thunder-electric light. The surrounding air was scorched, emitting a strong burnt sll.

Dokai had just lifted his head.

The thunderbolt had already struck down.

BOOM!!!!!

A pillar of purple-black lightning shot straight down at his position.

The corridor exploded.

Blinding light occupied the entire monitoring screen for a mont. Ice fragnts were vaporized by the extre heat. Spider silk was scorched. The corpses of nearby ice monsters were ground into dust. The cold aura and the thunder electricity collided, creating a violent shockwave that swept across the corridor.

Sunako scread.

"Aghhhhh! Could you give

a heads-up next ti?! My heart isn’t an eternal structure!"

No one paid attention to her.

All eyes were focused on the position where Dokai had just been standing.

The smoke and dust dispersed.

Dokai was still there.

But he was no longer intact.

The left half of his body had been struck black by the lightning. His flesh was split open. From within flowed not red blood but a kind of thick grayish-black liquid like ash mixed with oil.

More importantly, the soul-form left arm of his had clearly faded. The previously dense tentacles had now beco sparser. Many of the faces on it had been burned into distortion by the thunder electricity. Even as they scread silently, they lted into gray smoke.

A few of the faces that remained shrank back as if afraid, no longer daring to push outward.

The effect was very clear.

Thunder electricity could damage Dokai’s soul-form portions.

Inside the room, Elith imdiately said: "It works."

Morie nodded.

But her expression didn’t relax at all.

"It works, but it’s not enough."

Dokai lowered his head, looking at his fading soul-form arm.

He didn’t roar.

Didn’t speak.

Didn’t grow angry like a human.

But his body began to tremble.

The faces on his soul-form limbs simultaneously distorted. So opened their mouths as if crying. So laughed until twisted. So glared at Thunder Dragon as if seeing the thing that could destroy them.

Then, Dokai turned his head.

His blood-red eyes looked toward Thunder Dragon.

Then back toward the door of room 2705.

As if the invisible command within his body was being disrupted. One side pulled him toward the Ice Wolf General. Another side was being stimulated by Morie’s Psionic energy and Thunder Dragon’s lightning to the point that an instinct of attack was generated.

Morie coldly looked at him.

She didn’t say anything.

But the azure light around her body grew even more intense.

The two Titan hands continued to charge in. One above, one below, pressing Dokai in the middle as if to grind him into ash.

Dokai suddenly spread his two arms out.

The countless soul-form tentacles on his right arm began to spin. At first only a few strands, then dozens, then hundreds. All of them twisted tightly together, extending forward, transforming into a massive grayish-black drill.

The surface of the drill wasn’t tal, but countless flattened faces. They stuck together in layers, mouths opening wide, teeth clenched, eyes rolled back, twisted into shapes that couldn’t be nad as the drill spun.

His other arm also began to transform.

The soul-form tentacles gathered together, swelled up, then split into two massive pieces like crab pincers. But those pincers weren’t smooth. The inside edges of the pincers were filled with fangs, each tooth twitching as if hungry. Between the gaps in the teeth, tiny soul-form arms reached out, clawing at the air, as if wanting to drag whatever got caught in the pincer down to hell.

Dokai stood in the middle of the ice-covered corridor, his over-three-ter body leaning forward. One hand was a soul drill, the other a grotesque crab pincer. His three-piece mouth opened wide. Countless tentacles within his throat extended out, trembling from stimulation.

Boom!

The soul drill began to spin.

The air in front of him was torn open into rings of grayish-black vortexes. The spider silk around him was crushed into dust upon contact. The ice on the ground was sucked up. The corpses of nearby ice Goblins were dragged into the vortex. In the blink of an eye, they were twisted into fragnts by the drill.

Morie’s left Titan hand smashed down.

Dokai no longer dodged.

He swung his drill up.

BOOM!!!!

The soul drill stabbed straight into the palm of the Titan hand.

The azure light and the grayish-black smoke collided violently. Countless faces within the drill were ground apart, but the Titan hand also began to crack. Each crack spread from the palm to the wrist, like a block of azure glass about to shatter.

Morie clenched her teeth tightly.

The blood from the corner of her mouth flowed down even more.

Elith imdiately swung her hand.

Spider silk shot out from both sides, wrapping around Dokai’s physical body, trying to pull him off course from Morie. But Dokai only turned his head. His soul-form crab pincer on his left arm clamped down hard.

Crack!

A large patch of spider silk was severed.

Not just severed.

But also bitten and swallowed by the mouths on the crab pincer, dragged inside the grayish-black mass of souls, transford into faint wisps of white smoke.

Elith’s expression changed.

"That thing can eat energy?"

"Not entirely." Morie said, her voice slightly hoarse: "But it can pollute and destroy energy structures weaker than itself."

"Then we definitely can’t let it get close to the door."

"I know."

Morie raised her hand once again.

The remaining Titan hand spread its five fingers wide, grasping straight down at the top of Dokai’s head. At the sa ti, Thunder Dragon in mid-air roared, the electric light on its body erupting for a second ti.

Krittttt!!!!

The thunderbolt converged once more.

Dokai lifted his head.

His blood-red eyes looked at Thunder Dragon.

This ti, he didn’t wait to be hit.

His drill arm suddenly stabbed down into the ground.

BOOM!

The ice-covered floor exploded.

Dokai’s massive body spun with the recoil. His entire form transford into a grayish-black tornado, shooting horizontally across the corridor at a terrifying speed.

The Titan hand grasped at empty air.

The thunderbolt struck down behind him.

BOOM!!!!

A large patch of the corridor floor was scorched black by the lightning, but Dokai had used his explosive speed to evade that attack.

He charged straight toward the Ice Wolf General.

Even though he had been pushed back by Morie and Thunder Dragon, his original target had not changed.

Elith coldly said: "He’s still aiming at the Ice Wolf."

Morie didn’t answer.

She controlled the still-intact Titan hand to sweep horizontally toward Dokai, but his soul drill had already stabbed straight into the layers of silk binding the Ice Wolf General.

Swish!!!!

The spider silk was crushed layer by layer.

The Ice Wolf General fell down a short distance, but the previous Psionic hand still held onto her main body.

Dokai opened his mouth.

The soul-form tentacles from inside his mouth shot out, aiming straight at the Ice Wolf General’s neck.

Just one bite.

Just snatching the final blow.

The reward would be stolen by him.

But right at that mont, Morie suddenly closed her eyes. The entire azure light around her body converged to one point, not spreading out but compressing, very fast, very strong, like a Titan heart beating within her soul.

Out in the corridor, the Psionic hand holding the Ice Wolf General suddenly tightened, then yanked her sharply backward.

Dokai missed his bite.

His teeth and tentacles ground through empty space, emitting an ear-piercing whistle.

At the sa ti, the other Titan hand smashed down from behind Dokai. Not striking his body, but striking directly at his back, where the soul-form limbs grew out most densely.

BOOM!!!!

Dokai was slamd hard into the ground.

The layer of ice exploded.

The faces on his back simultaneously distorted. Dozens of soul-form tentacles were ground by the Titan hand into gray smoke.

Thunder Dragon didn’t miss the opportunity.

It dove down like a living bolt of lightning.

Krittttt!!!

Its mouth opened wide.

A purple-black thunder-electric orb condensed within its mouth, then was spewed straight at Dokai who was pinned beneath the ground.

BOOM!!!!!

This explosion was even more violent than before.

A ring of electric shockwaves swept outward, blasting ice fragnts, monster corpses, and burnt spider silk to both sides of the corridor.

A large patch of Dokai’s soul-form back was blown apart. Countless faces inside were burned into gray ash. Even the soul drill arm faltered for a mont, its rotation speed clearly decreasing.

In the corridor, Sunako, who was bound by spider silk, looked at the scene before her. Her eyes brimd with tears, but her mouth still trembled as she said: "That’s right... beat him up... beat that disgusting thing to death..."

No one laughed.

Because Dokai still wasn’t dead.

Within the lingering smoke, dust, and thunder electricity, he slowly braced himself up to stand. His physical body was burned black in many places. His left soul-form arm had faded by nearly half. A large patch of his back was missing, as if soone had carved it out hollow.

But the souls inside him began to crowd in, filling that missing portion. New faces erged. New tentacles grew out. Although slower than before, he was still regenerating.

Watching this scene, Elith’s expression beca extrely ugly.

"We can’t let this drag on."

Morie nodded gently.

She understood.

Dokai wasn’t the kind of opponent who could be tangled with for long. The more he was wounded, the more distorted his form beca. The more he was pushed into a corner, the more unpredictable his ability to transform beca.

But the problem was, the Ice Wolf General wasn’t dead yet.

Dokai also hadn’t been dealt with.

Although the remaining Ice Tribe army was in chaos, they continued to charge forward without pause.

The battlefield, which had been tilted in favor of room 2705, had once again beco out of control.

Dokai stood up straight.

He looked at the Ice Wolf General being pulled back. Then he looked at Thunder Dragon. Finally, his blood-red gaze rested on the door of room 2705.

It was unclear whether he could truly see Morie.

But Morie had the feeling that he was looking at her.

Dokai’s three-piece mouth slowly opened wide. Not a smile. Not speech. But like a beast that had just slled fresh blood, the predatory instinct within his body had been awakened even more violently.

The soul drill on his right arm began to spin rapidly again.

The crab pincer on his left arm opened up. The countless fangs inside collided with each other, emitting dense clicking sounds.

This ti, Dokai no longer just looked at the Ice Wolf General. He looked at the door of room 2705, looked at Thunder Dragon, looked at the Titan hands, looked at everything blocking his path.

Then he charged.

BOOM!!!!
