Chapter 172: Dokai

On the screen, the Ice Wolf General was being drained of life by the poison, but the cold aura within her body began to contract toward a single point.

Not for defense.

But for detonation.

If she were allowed to self-destruct at such close range, even though the door of room 2705 might be able to withstand it, Thunder Dragon, Sunako, the spiders outside, and even so of the defense towers around the door could all be caught up in it.

Morie took a deep breath.

She couldn’t go outside.

But Psionics could.

The mind could reach where the body could not.

Morie slowly closed her eyes.

In that mont, the aura around her completely changed.

A radiant azure halo erupted from her small body, enveloping her hair, her pale skin, and her hands that were trembling ever so slightly.

[Holy Maiden of the Titan Race]

Activated.

The azure light grew increasingly intense.

Not gentle.

Not soft.

But heavy.

Ancient.

As if a massive Titan gate had just cracked open within her soul.

Sweat quickly dripped down Morie’s forehead.

Each drop rolled across her cheek, falling onto her chin, soaking into her collar.

Her face was paler than usual, but the eyes that opened afterward were terrifyingly bright.

Out in the corridor, dense Psionic energy began to coalesce.

The air distorted.

Each line of azure light interwove, twisted, compressed, finally forming a massive hand in the middle of the corridor.

Different from the gloomy monster’s hand from before.

This hand was transparent, but as dense as molten azure glass. Its fingers were long and slender yet powerful, each line of energy running along the palm like the blood vessels of an invisible Titan.

It appeared right before the Ice Wolf General.

Then it grasped at her.

The Ice Wolf General sensed the danger and imdiately tried to retreat.

But the poison was draining her life.

Her sword was shattered.

The aura she was using to self-destruct hadn’t yet completed.

A beat too late.

Just one beat.

The Psionic hand had already firmly seized her.

BOOM!

The ice Wolf beneath her was forced down to its haunches by the imnse force, its claws scraping the ice surface to pieces.

The Ice Wolf General was lifted up off the wolf’s back.

"Grh..."

She gritted her teeth, the cold aura within her body madly bursting out, wanting to shatter the Psionic hand.

But Morie inside the room bit down on her lip.

Fresh blood seeped out.

The azure light around her grew brighter.

The Psionic hand squeezed even tighter.

Elith also didn’t miss this mont.

"Don’t even think about escaping."

Her eyes were cold as ice.

The countless small spiders all around simultaneously raised their heads.

Then, tens of thousands of strands of silk shot out.

From beneath the ground.

From the walls.

From the corpses of ice Golems.

From the cracks in the ice.

From the hidden corners of the corridor.

All at once, they wrapped toward the Ice Wolf General who was held in mid-air by the Psionic hand.

Swish! Swish! Swish! Swish!

Spider silk wrapped around her wrists.

Her ankles.

Her waist.

Her neck.

Her shoulders.

Even her flowing silvery-white hair was tightened layer by layer with silk.

If one strand wasn’t enough, then ten.

If ten weren’t enough, then a hundred.

If a hundred weren’t enough, then a thousand.

In just a few seconds, the Ice Wolf General had been bound tight in the void like prey nailed to a sacrificial altar.

She struggled.

Her cold aura erupted.

The spider silk was frozen and shattered in layers.

But the quantity was too great.

As soon as one layer broke, ten new layers wrapped on.

Morie’s Psionic hand held her main body in place.

Elith’s spider silk locked down every small detail.

One held.

One bound.

Two completely different types of power coordinated with terrifying precision.

The Ice Wolf General had now completely fallen into a state of helplessness.

She couldn’t fall down.

She couldn’t escape.

She couldn’t continue self-destructing.

She could only be suspended in mid-air, suffering as the poison from the [Frenzied Blood Spike Door] drained her life bit by bit.

Below, the ice monsters began to scream chaotically.

Ice Goblins charged forward but were pierced by the Archer Ballista in chains.

Ice Wolves wanting to save their master had their legs shattered by the Bouncing Ball Launcher, then dragged down by spider silk.

Ice Golems raised their shields and advanced, but Thunder Dragon only needed to turn its head and look at them once before they froze in instinctive fear.

In the room, Morie was breathing heavily.

Elith also had sweat seeping on her forehead.

But in both their eyes, the sa thought appeared.

Almost done.

Just one more blow.

As long as they finished the Ice Wolf General, the entire Ice Tribe army would collapse.

But right at that mont...

BOOM!!!!

A massive explosion rang out from the direction of the ergency stairwell.

The heavy tal door was shattered from the inside by sothing.

Debris flew everywhere.

Smoke and dust billowed up.

Sunako, who had only just managed to release half a breath, imdiately scread once more.

"Aghhhhh! What is it now?!"

"Can you all not let

have a quiet mont of fear?!"

From within the cloud of dust, a massive figure burst out.

No.

That was almost no longer a human.

His body was nearly three ters tall, his muscles bulging in deford ways, his flesh stretched and split. Veins of dark purple-black crawled along his entire body like venomous snakes.

On his shoulders, his back, behind his elbows, countless distorted soul fragnts grew out as auxiliary limbs.

There were arms.

There were claws.

There was half a face that was crying.

There was a mouth that was smiling.

All of them were ford from translucent souls, sotis hidden, sotis visible, emitting chaotic whispers like dozens of madn speaking at once.

His face still bore traces of Dokai.

Millan’s older brother.

The one who had once been hybridized with a Wraith.

But compared to before, he had transford even more.

Larger.

More terrifying.

His mouth split open all the way to his ears. Inside was no longer ordinary teeth, but countless grayish-black soul tentacles writhing about. Occasionally, tiny faces stretched out within each tentacle could be seen.

Dokai’s eyes glowed bright red.

But he wasn’t looking at the door of room 2705.

He wasn’t looking at Morie.

He wasn’t looking at Elith.

He wasn’t looking at Thunder Dragon either.

From beginning to end, his gaze locked only onto the Ice Wolf General who was bound in mid-air.

A plump prey.

An event Boss about to die.

A massive reward almost laid out on the table.

The corner of Dokai’s wide-split mouth curled up.

The wide-split mouth of Dokai opened slightly. The countless soul tentacles inside his throat convulsed violently as if slling the scent of blood.

He didn’t speak.

He didn’t need to speak.

That blood-red gaze was locked only onto the Ice Wolf General, as if within that distorted body there was an invisible command pulling him toward the dying prey.

Morie inside the room imdiately widened her eyes.

Elith’s expression also changed.

"This isn’t good!"

Dokai had already lunged out.

BANG!

A single stomping step.

The corridor floor split open.

The ice covering the ground was crushed into white powder.

Dokai’s massive body launched into the air at a speed completely incongruous with his size.

His right fist ignited.

Not with ordinary fire.

But with a fla mixed with resentful energy and souls, dark red in color, with countless distorted faces inside screaming.

He soared upward.

All the soul limbs behind him spread open at once, like a many-ard monster that had just escaped from hell.

Then that fiery fist aid straight at the Ice Wolf General’s head.

BOOM!!!

BOOM!!!

Dokai’s flaming fist descended, but the sound of a skull being crushed that everyone had imagined did not appear.

The very mont that fist was less than half a ter from the Ice Wolf General’s face, countless strands of spider silk from all four directions, all eight sides, interwove with each other, twisting into a massive white net that blocked across in front of her.

BANG!!!!

Dokai’s fist slamd straight into the net.

Unlike striking a stone wall, unlike crashing into a tal shield. That fist was like punching a giant ball of cotton, the terrible force stretched out by the spider silk, dispersed, then thrown back outward in all directions.

But even so, the air pressure from the punch still exploded.

A frenzied gust swept across the Ice Wolf General’s face. Her silvery-white hair was blown back behind her, the cold aura around her body torn open into pieces. On her pale cheeks, several small cuts even appeared, created by the air pressure.

Her azure blue eyes widened.

Just a little short.

Without that net, the punch just now would have directly crushed her head.

"Elith!" Morie said in a low voice from inside the room.

"I know."

Elith coldly replied.

Her dark red eyes contracted. The countless small spiders crawling on the ceiling, on the ground, and on the corpses of ice monsters all simultaneously trembled. Right after, thousands of strands of spider silk imdiately shot out, no longer focused on the Ice Wolf General but redirected to wrap toward Dokai.

Spider silk locked onto his wrists, ankles, shoulders, waist, and neck in the blink of an eye. But right after, Elith’s pupils suddenly contracted.

The spider silk passed through.

Not severed, not burned. They directly passed through Dokai’s limbs as if passing through a wisp of cold gray smoke.

The strands of silk that could bind ice Golems, drag down ice Wolves, even restrain the Ice Wolf General couldn’t touch Dokai’s arms and legs.

Dokai slowly retracted his fist.

There was no voice.

No laughter.

Only that disgustingly wide-split mouth opened slightly, exposing countless fangs cramd inside. From deep within his throat, the grayish-black soul tentacles writhed like a nest of worms trapped inside dead flesh.

He stepped backward one step.

Thud!

His foot stomped down on the layer of ice covering the corridor, causing the ice surface to crack into a spider web pattern.

It was only at this mont that everyone could truly clearly see his current form.
