Chapter 138: Epic Tenant - Spidary

After hearing all that, Rover was truly shocked by the secrets and sheer vastness of this world.

For a bird with such an enormous wingspan to exist, not only would this world need to et the necessary conditions in terms of size, it would also need enough food to sustain its life.

That ant food in this world was extrely abundant. It could be monsters, or it could even be... the survivors themselves were its food. And one more thing, this world was at least twice the size of Earth.

Elith led them through many corridors, and in the end, they stopped before an ancient stone gate that looked completely out of place with the corridor here.

She fitted that gem into the center of the spider symbol, and the heavy door slowly opened, followed by the stunned expressions on everyone’s faces.

"That..." Sunny stamred, "Then how are we supposed to complete this mission?"

Rover and Selina looked toward the gigantic hall before them, and both had many thoughts in their hearts.

But Rover had a guess that he believed was extrely accurate. That guess was completely logical with everything he had seen at the ntal hospital and the spider monsters there.

Inside the great hall, countless spider corpses were nailed onto massive pillars.

At the center of the hall, an enormous spider web had been woven, its gleaming silk radiating all kinds of colors like a work of art.

A gigantic spider was bound to that enormous web, its body already shriveled like a dried branch, black as coal, making it basically impossible to tell what that creature’s face had looked like when it was alive.

Rover took a deep breath, his mind recalling the giant spider in the ntal hospital.

He had a feeling that this corpse and the spider there were related, only... the corpses of these half-human, half-spider creatures, even though they were as dry as withered branches, still revealed the beauty of creation.

As for those creatures in the ntal hospital, they were masterpieces of madness and ugliness.

"That is... the Spider Queen?"

Hearing Rover ask, Elith nodded and said, "That’s right."

"When did she die?"

"I don’t know either..." Elith pressed her lips together and said softly, "By the ti I ca here, she had already died in that state. I was lucky enough to find this..."

As she spoke, she raised the gem she had used to open the door toward Rover and continued, "This thing can not only open the doors here, it can also help

inherit the Spider Queen’s power."

"It’s just that... I have to stay here forever to replace her, unless soone cos to complete the mission in this area. Only then can I leave, or... die."

Hearing that, Rover imdiately understood... Elith’s friendly attitude was not because of her personality, but because she was simply too sick of being trapped in a place like this.

If she wanted to leave this place, soone had to complete this mission. Either subdue her, or kill her.

Rover frowned and said, "Can you only stay in this state forever?"

Elith shook her head and said, "According to what the Spider Queen left behind, if I can sign a contract with a Survivor or beco his [Tenant], I can switch between two forms."

Hearing that, Rover nodded and asked softly, "Then... what do you plan to do next? Oppose , or beco my tenant, or his?"

As Rover spoke, he pointed at Sunny.

Before Elith could say anything, Sunny hurriedly waved his hands and said in fear, "No! No! Don’t beco my [Tenant], I already abandoned that room. Right now, I’m a wild Survivor."

"Besides, my luck won’t work if there’s a woman by my side. I won’t let her travel with , definitely not."

Rover: "..."

But seeing Sunny’s expression being so intense, he thought that Sunny was probably telling the truth.

After all, with luck that terrifying, if it had no weakness, then it really would be a massive bug.

But that weakness was a bit too... miserable. Could it be that he would remain lonely forever, without a single woman by his side?

Rover shuddered. He also did not want a talent like that. If that were the case, then half the joy of living in this world would already be gone.

Elith was so embarrassed she wanted to find a hole to crawl into. Her hands were clenched tightly together, and the eyes on her forehead kept blinking nonstop as they looked in different directions.

Rover glanced at the corpses here, frowned, and slowly walked toward a gigantic pillar, on which nearly a hundred corpses of half-human, half-spider creatures had been nailed.

He stretched out his hand and tried using the [Reclaim] function.

At that mont, one corpse turned into ashes, followed by a system notification screen appearing before him.

[Ding! Congratulations, you have successfully reclaid the corpse of a Spidary and received 7,000 Omni Points.]

When Rover saw the notification, his eyes widened, full of disbelief. A single corpse was worth 7,000 Omni Points.

There were at least over 1,000 corpses here, along with the Spider Queen’s corpse. Could it be...

Rover took a deep breath, his heart pounding violently. Although there was nothing here besides these corpses, to him, those corpses were the greatest resource.

Seeing that corpse disappear, Elith was startled and opened her mouth wide. "You... what did you just do?"

Rover looked at Elith and asked, "What role do these corpses play here?"

"I... I don’t know." Elith stamred, "It seems like they don’t have any role at all. Anyway, I’ve been here quite a long ti, and I still don’t know what this place is used for."

Hearing that, Rover nodded, feeling slightly relieved. Although he could reclaim these corpses and turn them into Omni Points, he still wanted to ask first.

If these corpses played so important role here and he reclaid all of them, wouldn’t that cause huge trouble?

Rover did not rush to continue using the [Reclaim] function. He asked Elith, "Are there any other rooms?"

"If you’re looking for resources, I can lead you to the room containing many of the Spider Queen’s treasures, but before that..." Elith suddenly straightened up, her eyes carrying a trace of determination as she looked at Rover. "I want you to help

escape this place."

Rover glanced at Sunny.

Sunny waved his hand, signaling for Rover not to look at him.

Rover held his forehead, feeling a little troubled. Elith stood over three ters tall, and he had no idea whether after turning her into a [Tenant], she would be able to switch into a human form or not.

In general, she was like a ticking ti bomb. After all, her situation was not the sa as the other Survivors.

He also did not know clearly whether the System’s contract could make her completely loyal to him like his current [Tenants].

Rover let out a sigh and said softly, "I also want to help you, but... Elith, are you still a Survivor?"

Elith nodded and said, "I still retain the Survivor System, but right now my system is in a frozen state. It says that if I want to restore its functions, I have to accept becoming the [Tenant] of a Survivor."

Rover was half-convinced and half-skeptical. He frowned and asked, "Why?"

"Because I am bound here by the Spider Queen’s mission."

"What is that mission?"

Elith shrugged and said, "Sorry, I can’t tell you unless you help

leave this place."

Rover frowned. "What if I don’t help you?"

"Then..." Elith raised the gem in her hand high and smiled. "We can die together."

"I know I am not your match, but at the very least, I can imprison you here forever or die here together with you."

At this mont, Sunny gritted his teeth and said, "Rover, just accept her as your tenant. My intuition tells

she’s a good person."

Rover: "..."

"Goddamn it!" Rover cursed. "You’re looking at her expression like a suicide bomber and still saying she’s a good person?"

"No! No!" Sunny quickly tried to persuade Rover. "Look, she’s just been driven into a corner. Trust , my intuition and my luck are never wrong."

Rover clenched his teeth, feeling troubled inside as well. But at that mont, Selina suddenly spoke up.

"You said you’re trapped here because of the Spider Queen’s mission, right?"

Hearing Selina’s question, Elith nodded and replied, "That’s right!"

"Then..." Selina rubbed her chin and asked, "After completing the mission, can you return to this place?"

"I can..."

Selina continued, "Will you still keep that gem?"

"Of course!"

"What level is your current strength at?"

Elith pressed her lips together, thought for a mont, then said, "At the level of... being able to face 5 Zombie Hunters without fear, and I could even kill them."

CLAP!

Suddenly, Selina clapped her hands hard and said with a smile, "Master! Let’s accept her as a [Tenant]."

Rover: "..."

"W-Wait! Selina, how are you so confident?" Rover asked in confusion.

Selina smiled and said, "Because I believe she will be useful to you. Besides, she’s so beautiful. If we let her go, it would be such a waste. A woman who’s beautiful, busty, and from another race, don’t you find that exciting, Master?!"

Rover: "..."

Rover held his forehead and said, "Do you even know what you’re saying, Selina?"

Selina smiled and said, "Master! Do you trust ?"

Rover looked at her, and after a while, he sighed and said, "Fine! I trust you."

"And you..." Rover glanced toward Elith and frowned as he asked, "Do you want to beco my [Tenant]?"

"Of course I do!" Elith agreed without the slightest hesitation.

"But..." Rover now stated his condition, "Becoming my tenant ans becoming my woman, obeying my orders. In other words, this is a lifelong slave contract that you can never break unless I die."

Elith pressed her lips together, seeming to hesitate over her decision, but then she said firmly, "I agree!"

"Good!" Rover said. "Read

your ID."

Elith read out her ID, and then Rover sent her the invitation to beco his tenant.

[Ding! Elith has now beco your Tenant. You can review her information.]

Rover imdiately opened Elith’s information panel, and surprise appeared in his eyes.
