While andering in his own thoughts, Azmodeus rose from his sitting position and left Simulation Room #12. In re monts, he once again found himself face-to-face with Ru Ling.
Wearing a cheeky smirk on her beautiful face, it was pretty clear that she was about to tease him. And just as he expected…
"So~ You want this shiny gold dallion in my hands, now do you~? Fufu~"
While holding a golden token close to her ample chest, Ru Ling seed to be having the ti of her life. However, after a second or two of seeing Azmodeus's expression remain exactly the sa as before, she puffed up her right cheek. "You're no fun," she said.
"I see…"
While muttering these two words, the golden dallion had already found its way into his hands. Looking down at the intricately carved tal dallion, he said, "Thanks…" After which, he walked away from the counter. But not before hearing Ru Ling say, "You still rember the date you promised for giving you those special C-Rank Quests, don't you~?"

Azmodeus went completely silent upon hearing what she said. He had indeed forgotten about the 'date,' which was, in actuality, what he promised as '6 hours of my ti'. But of course, she interpreted it as a 'date,' and now he was left to deal with his previous actions…
"Listen, I didn't-" Before Azmodeus could even say what he wanted to say, he was interrupted by Ru Ling's voice, saying:
"You rember the promise you made, don't you…?"
"..."
Heaving an exasperated sigh, Azmodeus turned his head away from Ru Ling and approached the quest board. After picking off a few of the B-Rank posters, he tiredly said, "Tonight, at 6, in the Central District… Only 6 hours…"
Without turning his face back once, he left the building and vanished without a trace. In his place, he left a grown woman who suddenly turned all giddy and girly, acting very unlike her usual self.
The old Azmodeus would have passed her off as nothing but an annoyance and maybe even killed her, but the new version of him knew when to repay favors. And though their relationship would never be more than it was, he would entertain her until she tired of his existence.
Azmodeus believed that, in the end, everything would elude him and leave him alone… and there was so modicum of truth to this seemingly baseless belief. After all, Fate was a b*tch…

While gliding among the clouds, a number of thoughts could be seen passing through the eyes of the crimson-haired man. But as swiftly as they ca, they disappeared just as quickly, instead replaced by the sa insatiable yearning for more.

Sitting at a window sill by the entrance of a quaint coffee shop in Everveil's Central District, Azmodeus held a mildly warm cup of Joe in his hands. While feeling the cup's warmth perate through his skin, he couldn't stop himself from realizing just how right he was 8 months ago.
Just as was predicted, Ru Ling beca tired of being ignored all the ti. Inherently, won carved attention, and this stood true even in the immortal realm.
To be constantly ignored by the one you loved… Well, that was sothing more painful than it was enjoyable. So, like the mature woman she was, Ru Ling moved on and even found herself a husband who seed like a pretty alright guy.
However, was Azmodeus all right after learning of this…?
The truth was that he couldn't really find a part of him that cared… But if he were to say sothing, then it would be that he was glad that the one who helped him keep his head down found her happiness.
"Happiness… What an unusual concept… To what degree does one realize that they possess the capacity for happiness?"
With the light dimming on the horizon and the wind settling in the lively city, Azmodeus was left to sit and ponder by a coffee shop's window sill. He wondered how, just like Mortals, Immortals acted in a way that made them seem not all that different.
"Life itself is such a dilemma… How intriguing…"
While brooding over a whole lot of nothing, Azmodeus took a few brief glances at his system interface. Imdiately, he realized that it was finally ti to begin the usurpation of this kingdom and its leadership.
