’Finally!’ he gasped, finally releasing it from his grip and taking in fresh air.

’Don’t ss with , I’m not your average kid!’ he smirked, wiping sweat from his forehead.

He stumbled and fell backwards, taking in deep breaths as he struggled for air.

It wasn’t easy because he had absorbed more essence than the system inford him to. And with that, his body was already feeling the consequences of his actions with the sudden tiredness.

’I see why there’s a limit now. My body can’t take more essence than it can absorb’

He bent backwards and laid on his back against the grass, still breathing hard as his consciousness slipped, but he held unto reality hard.

’God, I think I’m gonna die!!’ He panted.

After a long while of breathing, his body slowly started adapting to the flowing energy, but he still felt extrely tired.

’Maybe I should try releasing so of the energy, I think it should help,’ he thought, staring at the leaves on the branches of the tree close to him.

Without thinking about it much, he tried releasing the energy, but it wasn’t as easy as absorbing it.

’Maybe I should free myself and release it all like I’m peeing on my pants,’ he thought as he concentrated on releasing every pressure he felt.

It wasn’t easy because of the heaviness he felt from the pain, it didn’t allow him to think properly but after several minutes of calming himself, he slowly started released the energy back to the plants around him.

And slowly, they started regaining the life they all lost, but he was careful enough not to direct it at the creature.

[Essence Reduction Rate: 90%]

He kept going until it arrived at sixty percent, which felt like the decent point before he stopped.

[Essence Reduction rate: 60%]

[User stabilised]

He slowly started breathing properly now, his organs stopped feeling like they wanted to explode, and he felt way alive than before.

’I actually killed a wild beast for the first ti,’ his mind reeling back to the mont.

’I still can’t believe it, I actually hunted for my own food and survived without a scratch!’ He smiled.

"Wait till my father hears about this!" He blurted before he rembered he was ordered never to return again.

’Well, at least I have breakfast.’ he sat upright, staring at the lifeless creature that laid there, just tres away from him.

He stood up, his body now stable without the earlier pain he felt. His body now felt light, extrely light like a feather.

He grabbed the beast by the torso and lifted it on his shoulder, then drifted back to the trees, his safe haven in case anything happened.

After he was up there, he prepared the campsite for the at and began grilling it while he waited.

He glanced around, still not fully relieved from the disorientation or the discovery that he had sohow awakened an ability but also sad no one was here to cheer for him, or even congratulate him as they did for sheriff.

’Life sotis gives us way too many lemons,’ he sighed.

He glanced at the fla when a thought hit him, and he rushed to his backpack to unpack sothing he felt was important.

He pulled out a scroll with a black inked feather pen and zipped the bag close before he set them down.

He settled down close to the scroll as he rolled it open, placing the ink beside it and picking up the feather pen to write.

"If I’m going to do things alone, then I might just write about myself in the hope that soone will read it one day," he smiled, staring at the blank paper.

He began writing on it, every word he ca across on his mind.

[The discoveries of Ralph, forr heir to the house of Thorne.

Today, I discovered a person can awaken their elent days after the awakening ceremony. It was nice feeling the energy surge through my veins, but I wished my family was here to participate in this joyful mont. Sadly, they’re not.

I got my first official kill, not sure of the beast kind that ended up being killed by , though, not that it matters now.

I hope I get to understand my abilities more soon so I can finally prove to them that gold is polished with flas, not ice]

He raised the scroll up, staring at the written words as he smiled to himself.

Soon, the at started giving off a burnt sll, a faint dark smoke drizzling through the air as he stared at the scroll.

When he sniffed, he noticed the sll change in the environnt and imdiately rushed toward the at.

He put it down from the fire quickly, noticing the blackened areas on it. He glanced at the fire and it was still on, if he had sothing tallic or stainless he would have loved to bathe warm water.

He toppled the woods over and over until they all went off, glowing embers rested in their stead as smoke cascaded upwards, surrounding the room with black soothe.

’I should probably stay outside until the smoke clears’

He picked up the at, though it was still hot. He simply just tossed it between hands, not allowing it to rest on either for too long until he reached outside.

When outside, he grabbed a leaf, big enough to hold the at properly then wrapped it around the at and sat on the branch closest to the shed.

"Living alone isn’t so bad afterall, I get to do things on my own and not get shouted at, also learning new things at a pace faster than those at the clan."

"I bet if I go back there, they don’t know as much as I know about the wild" he chuckled, taking small bites from the at to keep it from burning his tongue.

A fulfilled smile played around his lips as he stared at the open field, his thoughts churning inside his head.
