Su Yu pouted. "Lollipop doesn’t listen to like that; what makes her so eager to please you!?"

Necro stared unblinkingly at Su Yu.

This lasted until she couldn’t take it anymore. Her cheeks filled with air as she walked away, giving a passing comnt. "I don’t even know why I say anything to you, anie!"

But as evident by the slightly raised corners of her lips, she was clearly still overjoyed about him calling her a friend.

’It seems that choice was the right one to make,’ thought Necro as he followed behind the group. ’Young humans like that word. I’ll note this down.’

Han Tianfeng glared at the cute young boy trailing at the back of the group. ’This brat—does he think he’s sothing special just because he could intimidate a big lizard?? I’ll have to teach him a lesson on who’s superior later!’

"I wonder where that boy ca from," whispered one of the Officials as he took cursory glances toward Necro. "From what I know, the 6th Young Lady doesn’t have any friends. Moreover, there’s sothing... strange about this kid..."

"You felt it too?" asked a different City Official. "It was sowhat like what I felt when the No Sound, Instant Death Assassin arrived in the city. Like an unsheathed sword. Or a looming scythe."

"I know exactly what you an! That boy is definitely a suspicious figure!"

"We should keep an eye on him—for the sake of the 6th Young Lady and the City—and most importantly, for our sakes."

The other Officials nodded in agreent.

River Mountain City’s Mayor heard them co to a consensus. He sighed, feeling that they were overexaggerating about the whole ordeal.

’That boy is just a child,’ the Mayor thought. ’What sort of danger could he possibly pose?’

With various thoughts lingering on the minds of many, the Officials and Mayor escorted Su Yu and Necro through the City Gates and into the tropolitan city inside. They then parted ways upon reaching a mansion located in a sectioned-off plot of land in the middle of the massive city.

Han Tianfeng glared one last ti at Necro before sneering and leaving the area. He clearly had nothing good swirling around inside his mind.

"So this is your ho?" A question ca from Necro as he watched the Mayor and Officials bow toward Su Yu while bidding farewells. "It’s quite luxurious."

"Ho? This little thing~?" Su Yu smugly grinned. "This is nothing compared to my actual ho, fufu~"

Although she hid it well, Necro could sense a certain sadness laced in her words. This made him ever more curious about her familial situation.

"Hey, you dummy, why are you looking at like that?" Su Yu pouted.

Necro shook his head.

’That’s right,’ he thought. ’Why am I looking at her like that? She’s just an acquaintance at best. I shouldn’t care how her ho situation is.’

However, even with that being said, Necro couldn’t stop his mind from wandering. It was as if it was drawing him toward sothing familiar.

So very familiar.

He just didn’t know what...

"You’re such a baka, Necro!" Su Yu complained after concluding that she was being ignored for what felt like the gazillionth ti.

Necro froze.

"You’re such a baka!"

An unfamiliar voice rang out inside his head, causing him to clasp his face.

"You’re a real dummy, you know that?!"

"Y-You’re just a shtupid jerk...!"

"Wh... What is..." Necro mumbled, staggering back a couple steps. "What is happening to ...?"

"Necro? Is sothing the matter?" Su Yu’s tone changed to one of concern. "Y-You’re scaring ..."

*Rinngg—!*

"Huh!?" Necro abruptly snapped out of it, his eyes unfocused. However, upon seeing Su Yu’s frightened expression, he worked to calm his breathing, saying, "M... My apologies. I don’t seem to be myself today."

"I-It’s not a big deal." Su Yu held a hand to her chest, her fright gradually dissipating. "You’re always weird, but that was weird even for you."

"...Yeah, I know..."

Necro had no idea what was going on with him as of late. What he was feeling—it was impossible to describe—like trying to explain what happened in a fuzzy dream from years ago.

’I should just forget about it,’ Necro thought as he followed the still-worried Su Yu into her borrowed mansion. ’In the future, I’ll see what’s wrong with . Now’s not the ti.’

— So ti later —

"You not gonna tell what was up with ya earlier?" asked Su Yu, a bit grumbly.

"I’d prefer not to."

Su Yu was still a little aggrieved, but she insisted no further.

’It would be rude to pry if he’s so unwilling,’ she thought. ’But... It’s still aggravating...’

Su Yu felt like she was the only one to have revealed embarrassing things about herself. It was like their relationship was one-sided—unrequited.

This annoyed her more than she thought it would.

Another annoying thing:

"Hey, you know you can sit down, right??" Su Yu huffed.

"Hmm?" Necro analyzed his standing position, which was off to the side of an arrangent of furniture where Su Yu was sitting. "Am I supposed to sit down in another’s abode? I apologize, I was unaware."

Su Yu was rendered speechless.

"You’re such a weirdo!" she ultimately spat before scarfing down a whole plate of cupcakes. "Sush a weerdo...!"

Necro found this sight quite funny. Like looking at a chipmunk.

"Huhh!?" Su Yu nearly choked, with her eyeballs falling out of their sockets. "What was that I just saw!?"

She practically leapt at him, her pupils sparkling.

"What are you talking about?" asked Necro, allowing himself to be shook all around.

With a wide, satisfied grin, Su Yu said, "You s.m.i.l.e.d. hehe~"

Necro blankly stared into her wonder-filled eyes, replying with a plain, "No, you must be mistaken."

"Uhn uh!" Su Yu giggled. "You won’t admit it, but I saw it. Yep, yep, you smiled~, and it was all because of ~"

Silence...

"You were certainly seeing things." Necro firmly denied. "I don’t smile."

"Then that ans..." Su Yu gasped, a scarlet blush forming. "I was your first!?"

"No. As I said, you saw wrong-..."

"Hihi, I was your first~, I was your first~," Su Yu repeated with glee.

Necro was left helpless in the face of this troubleso girl. Totally helpless.

’There’s no doubt that she was mistaken,’ he thought. ’No... doubt at all...’

Necro frowned.
