"Erm…"
Everyone froze.
"Master…" Zara was the first to speak up, her pupils erratically flickering. "The final match of the Tournant has already started."
"...Huh…?"
Elsewhere.
"Where the hell is that son of mine!?" Adam's impatient foot tapping was getting out of hand, making his whole section of the VIP stands shake. "What level of Aura-farming is this!? Unbelievable!"
"He really is your kid, isn't he, haha!!" Beezlebub laughed heartily from the other side of the Arena.
Whereas Great Demon King Lucifer and Astaroth were wearing expressions that were a mixture of green, purple, and mostly red.
That damn little bastard was definitely avoiding them!
Planning to run away, was he!?
Not on their watch!
'When that brat shows up, I'll chop him into a million different pieces and cook them into a stew!' Lucifer inwardly raged. 'To mock and embarrass ti and ti again—unforgivable!'
"Hmm?"
Suddenly sensing sothing very odd, the Yggdrasil Ancestors looked toward a certain spot in space.
"Did you all feel that as well?" the eldest asked. "It felt like… like when we're in front of the Mother Spirit."
For the first ti in ages, the Ancestors of Yggdrasil were made uneasy.
However, as quickly as that oddity appeared, it vanished.
"What is going on as of late…?"
The Ancestors also felt like sothing else was happening behind the scenes. This ca as quite the surprise to them, for they should know just about everything in the Ascension Tower.
Sothing was amiss. They just didn't know what…
"Was that?" Dracula focused his gaze in the sa direction as the Ancestors, his mind surging in turbulence. "No… That wouldn't make any sense… I must just be imagining things."
'What's up with the old man?' Alumia, a Goddess of Pleasure, wondered to herself. 'Does it have to do with the sa person that has the Demon Fossils so livid?'
While the final fight of the Yggdrasil Tournant was ongoing, the thoughts of many stirred.
Even the two Yggdrasil Princesses of the current generation were distracted by things not pertaining to the final battle. This secretly angered the two most talented youths of this generation, who were fiercely duking it out in an Isolated Dinsion.
One was the prodigal son of Archangel Michael—the expected winner of the Tournant.
Whereas the other was a Dark Horse—the treasured daughter of the Northern Abyss Witch, the elusive powerhouse who kept to herself in a Dinsion she created outside of the Seven major ones and Yggdrasil.
These were the end competitors, both at the absolute peak of the Half-step Godlike Rank. In battle, though, even normal Late-stage Godlike Beings were not their match.
The very best of the best!
And yet when they felt HIS presence suddenly engulf the skies for countless light-years, they—along with Azara and every other eliminated contestant—felt a dreadful sense of inferiority well up inside them. It made them feel like re ants witnessing the imnsity of the cosmos for the first ti.
"This is…"
Everyone in and around the Yggdrasil Arena had the sa reaction. Their eyes were glued to the south, where they saw a distant silhouette slowly approach them.
Every single person was short of breath, with even the Yggdrasil Ancestors frozen in place.
Only the Heavenly Progenitor properly reacted. He frowned, then smiled.
'You've really given us all a surprise this ti, young lad. One that even I hadn't accounted for.'
"My Cass…?" Lilia looked where everyone else was looking, but her gaze differed greatly from all others. "My baby boy…"
"Mama?" Sylvy wondered.
'Baby boy!?' Ayra revealed an extrely shocked expression. 'So that must an this figure is…'
"So now you arrive, unfilial son of mine!?"
Son of Adam Steele and Lilia Eldrine.
Cassius Steele!
"And what's up with this stifling pressure you're emitting??" Adam inquired while circling Cassius. "Even my soul trembles when I'm in close proximity to you! Don't tell you went and beca invincible or sothing!" he joked.
Cassius blankly stared at him.
"You're… You're just kidding, right…??" Adam's jaw started to go slack.
"Yes, I'm not actually invincible."
Those who were put on the edges of their seats over that question felt their anger levels spike up.
"You little bastard!!" Lucifer roared. "I don't know what sort of trick you're playing here, but there's no way you're any stronger than that squirt of Michael's! After all, you're not even a thousand years old!"
Not even a thousand years old!?
Others may not have been able to see it, but the Ancestors of Yggdrasil could.
With a glance, they determined Cassius's strength to be imasurable. And this didn't change no matter how many calculations they made.
"H-How can this be possible…?"
"What in the Mother Spirit's na is that thing??"
"So sort of natural-born Universal Phenonon!?"
Prodigal son of Archangel Michael, Avariel, was the first among the younger generation to snap out of it. His eyes imdiately filled with anger as he glared at the otherworldly being who had sohow made it above the Arena without any of them noticing.
"This must be an illusion!" he shouted, effectively taking Hellea, the Northern Witch's daughter, out of her stupor as well. "I'm the strongest of this Generation!! Who is this nobody to co and steal my lilight!? Does he have a death wish!??"
'You fool! Shut your damn mouth!!' Many Experts internally cursed as their attention shifted toward the unknown young powerhouse. 'What will his reaction be—'
"Hmm?" Cassius nonchalantly turned his head in the direction of the fuming eight-winged Angel. "Why is a gnat buzzing around here?"
Silence…
The whole Arena went quiet.
Archangel Michael frowned.
Avariel's face twisted in fury as his angelic power exploded outward. Without thinking before acting, he burst forward. Held tightly in his hands was a pearl white and golden spear, coated and enhanced with Faith Energy in order to possess power surpassing most Godlike Weapons.
Right now, he was using far more of its power than what he used while fighting with Hellea.
"I'LL KILL YOU!!!!"
The various powerhouses were slow to react, while the ones that could potentially stop this madness were curious to see sothing. To see if this immortal-like man was truly as capable as his presence would indicate—
BOOOOM!
