"Clothes?" Luma repeated, though she quickly recalled those things that the appeasing humans of the Clan below the mountain had on them when they prayed to her. "Yes, I can get so of those, even though I don't really see the point of covering my body…"
"Neither do I, to be honest," Cassius agreed with a soft shake of the head. "If it were up to , I'd make it a cri to cover a body as perfect as yours. But unfortunately, I'm not the one who creates the rules of civilized societal standards. Such a sha. Such a damn sha…"
Luma felt like she was being played with here, but she had no way to tell for sure. Thus, she conjured up a flowy purple and green dress using mysterious thods before wearing it and showing it off to her first Disciple.
"Well, is this good?" she asked, looking like a goddess descended from the supre nine heavens.
Cassius stared at her with a blank expression, trying his best not to nod his head like a madman. "It will suffice," he replied as he closed his eyes, preparing himself atop a large boulder. "I'm ready whenever you are, Master. Don't go easy on ; tough training is good training."
"You took the supplentary Body Refinent Liquid I gave you already?" Luma asked while seductively pulling at the dress in different places, still trying to adjust to this whole clothes thing.
Cassius nodded. "It all went down the hatch, so everything painful that happens to will allot ten tis the benefits. Just the way I like it—"
WHAP!
A whip smacked the bare skin off his backside!
"Good," said Luma as she whipped out again. "Then you won't mind if we begin your training in full swing, would you?"
"Of course not," replied Cassius, unflinching in the face of such minuscule pain. "Feel free to hit harder. That first one was not nearly enough to get anything out of ."
Luma smirked. "You asked for it!"
WHAP!
"Harder."
"Harder??"
WHAP!!
"Harder!"
"Even harder than that…??"
So minutes later, Luma ended up tiring herself out from how much effort she was expending in order to dish out as much damage as possible. No longer able to give any more, she decided to switch things up as she brought him into a different room of the dark and wet cave.
In this room, there was a huge vat of bubbling green liquid. Swirling around inside that liquid were images of skulls, indicating certain death.
"Even I can't confidently guarantee my safety if I were to get into this vat of one-true-death acid," Luma began. "But seeing how my full-power whip lashes were barely able to scratch you, I believe this to be fitting for you to advance your Body Refinent Rank as quickly as possible. So go on, you freak, jump in."
"Say less."
*Splash!*
Without hesitation, Cassius dove into the vat of deathly green acid. And right away, he started to feel sothing—a slight burning attempting to char skin that had been enhanced by hundreds of points of Godforce as well as millions of points of Unity.
The Godforce gave him the fortitude and muscle mass, whereas the Unity tightened those two aspects to a point where no cracks could be seen between individual muscle fibers.
Slowly but surely, the acid in the vat gnawed away at those muscle fibers. However, because of his insane regeneration factor, he healed far faster than he was being damaged.
As for the pain… well, it wouldn't be an overstatent to say that a thousandth of the pain Cassius experienced on a day-to-day basis because of all his terrible life decisions was worse than this.
In spite of that, though, with the assistance of the Body Refinent Liquid, Cassius's Body Refinent Rank skyrocketed!
Silver Body!
Silver Body Peak!
Gold Body!
Middle Gold Body!
Late Gold Body!
Gold Body Peak!
Finally, after several hours of soaking in the acid vat, Cassius's Refinent Physique broke through to the Ruby Rank, putting him just two stages below his Master!
[You achieved the Ruby Body of the Body Refinent Sub-Path!]
[Your Physical Strength and various other attributes trendously increased!]
[Your Godforce increased by 0.04 Points!]
All that just for less than 0.1 Godforce!?
Well, it wasn't like Cassius could claim that he was surprised. After all, to the him who was just a step away from reaching the Demon Overlord Rank, such minor breakthroughs in the Body Refinent Path naturally gave him nothing worth writing ho about.
'Still, this is just the Ruby Body Rank,' Cassius thought as he continued to bathe his pores in the acid while absorbing the Body Refinent Liquid his Master gifted him. 'The higher Ranks are sure to give much, much more.'
Like that, he spent the next couple of days relaxing in the vat of acid. His skin scread at him to put a stop to this insanity on more than one occasion, but when was he ever one to listen to sothing as silly as that?
To Luma's astonishnt, Cassius wound up using all the acid in the vat. His Body Refinent Rank stalled at the Peak of the Ruby Body, giving him roughly 0.15 Godforce, but still leaving him yearning for more.
"This… it would appear that I was foolish in believing that I could train soone as freakish as you," Luma lanted with a shake of her head. "But even still, I resolved myself to this, so I won't leave you shorthanded now. Let's leave this cave; to get what you need, we have to go very far away."
"Far away?"
Cassius hadn't even really explored the village of Bonecliff that sat beneath the mountain they were on, let alone ventured outside it. When he first arrived in this Dinsion all those years ago, he might've not even been equivalent to the Transcendent Rank, making it virtually impossible to consider sothing as perilous as exploration.
'But with the harsh conditions of this world, my AP and CD Units have been steadily increasing,' he thought with a keen gaze. 'And seeing as this is rely the starter area, I'm willing to bet that my benefits will be far greater in the wider lands outside.'
