962: Chapter 19 Sergeant 962: Chapter 19 Sergeant The dead bug soldiers still had sixteen power armors left, under the captain’s command, four were allocated to attack Zeng Fanghai and his team, the rest all pounced towards Tang Zheng.

They were wildly aggressive and fearless of death; once the rocket nests on their shoulders were emptied, they automatically detached, clanging to the ground, shedding nearly forty pounds of weight, their speed picked up once more.

Ratatat, the thunderbolt assault rifle fired, its muzzle spitting out large-caliber bullets with the power to tear through the air, enveloping Tang Zheng.

Tang Zheng intended to test the limit of the Light Defense Shield against such a weapon, so he didn’t dodge.

After taking six hits, the shield shattered, but three dead bug soldiers fell behind him, their power armors dismantled into scrap, with split electric wire ends sparking chaotically.

Tang Zheng glided close to a power armor on the ground, dodged the shooting, grabbed its arm, flipped it over, then the chest energy cannon charged and blasted, vaporizing the struggling power armor trying to get up.

He then turned around, his beam cannon sweeping out a fan shape like a military sword.

The dead bug soldiers activated their energy shields to withstand the hits, and staggered on the brink of collapse.

Two of them likely had too low of a backup energy reserve, and their energy shields were imdiately shattered.

“Good opportunity,” Tang Zheng continuously shot out impact beams, bombarding their heads, killing them.

Three power armors closed in, firearms no longer of use, so they all drew blue hilt handles, pressed the activation button, and a nearly two-ter-long light beam sprayed out, forming a saber shape.

“Release ability.” Seeing the dead bug soldiers rush in, Zeng Fanghai yelled out and drew two daggers, darting forward swiftly, evading bullets, and then stabbing wildly into the enemy’s back.

Lin Chen swung his hands, shooting out wind blades that sliced at the enemies’ heads.

Xu Biyun released a Scavenger Armor, leaped onto it in a single bound, and imdiately the dual-wielding 30mm machine guns roared, with a mass of hot shell casings falling down, clinking as they hit the floor.

Lin Chen and Zeng Fanghai, seeing Xu Biyun operating this cold steel beast achieving the sa war results as themselves, were envious to death.

The Warhamr team’s weapons really were diverse.

Compared to them, their own side seed too shabby.

To the newbies, these power armor soldiers were a nightmare, even second-order Conquerors like Lin Chen were scratching their heads, but facing the Iron Hellfire, they were utterly crushed, a huge gap between equipnt and strength.

Tang Zheng slashed the head off the last dead bug soldier with a beam saber he had snatched, ending the battle, then he cut open a power armor to check out the natives’ design.

They had the appearance of humans, only taller, but they seed no different from the dead, their skin pale, cracked, withered, as if their nutrients had been sucked away by sothing.

“Bugs!” Xu Biyun ran over, just about to clean up the battlefield, when a fist-sized bug burst out of a corpse with a squelch, quickly scurrying away.

Bang, Tang Zheng shot and killed it, scanning it with his wristwatch, which fed back the information that it was a death worm; these soldiers were actually already dead and had beco hosts for the parasites, no wonder there was so little body fluid splashed when they were killed.

“How co you smashed them to pieces?

Leaving one intact for to use would have been nice,” Lin Chen complained sowhat sadly, having a power armor would’ve added so extra protection to his life.

The newbies, seeing the power of the firearms, all ca over to pick them up, but found them too heavy, very taxing on their strength.

“Are you idiots?

This rifle weighs over forty pounds, you can’t walk with it at all,” Zeng Fanghai scoffed, peeling the power armor from the dead bug soldier he had killed.

Lin Chen prepared to pick up a few more rifles to exchange with his group leader for so better equipnt, but Xu Biyun stopped him.

“That’s our captain’s spoils of war.” As a gar girl, she liked to collect all kinds of props in gas, and naturally, it was no exception here, especially with a space wristwatch, there was no worry about where to put them.

“Hey, don’t be so rigid, okay?

We’re all on the sa team after all,” Lin Chen didn’t want to give up, in the Trojan Horse Ga, any prop was extrely valuable.

“This is fair, I wouldn’t touch your war results either,” Tang Zheng refused, and then threw out the bug heart to consu those power armors that couldn’t be restored.

“Alright, don’t harm our relationship over so trash,” Zeng Fanghai diated, looking enviously at Xu Biyun’s wristwatch, “That’s not standard issue for your team, is it?”

“What do you think?” Xu Biyun gave him a look, having no good feelings for these two always trying to stay out of trouble in a crisis.

Zeng Fanghai shrugged off his shoulders, about to ask what to do next when he faintly heard the sound of gunfire.

The handheld radar also started to alarm; two squads, one all green, the other all red, without hesitation, Tang Zheng deployed the Whale Hunting Vehicle, ready to provide support.

This was Central City, where the roads were naturally wider, allowing vehicles to travel without any issues.

“Wasn’t there supposed to be a two-hour advantage?

How did people arrive so quickly?” Lin Chen released his Beetle, ready to show off, when the next mont, he saw the lavishly designed Whale Hunting Vehicle, sighed in annoyance, and felt embarrassed again.

“In these tis, there’s no shortage of clever people,” Zeng Fanghai lanted, frustrated that his advantage was gone, and because they needed to be the first to get the gene samples, the ti they could spend exploring the lab would inevitably decrease, increasing the danger.

“Don’t leave behind,” Teng Yuangxiang said urgently.

The newbies were scrambling onto the war chariot, afraid of being left behind.

Tang Zheng reached out and pulled Teng Yuangxiang and Shi Jing up.

The woman in the sleeping gown deliberately threw herself into his arms, falling into his embrace.

Seeing his girlfriend’s chest pressed against Tang Zheng’s chest, Han Ze was nearly driven mad with rage, his face turning beet red.

Xu Biyun glanced at him, wondering whether to kick him off or not.

“Depart,” the intelligent system confird Tang Zheng’s voice before complying with the command, starting the engine and shooting out.

“An S-grade vehicle, so cool.” After checking the data for the war chariot and seeing the light beam weapons, Lin Chen couldn’t help but envy.

Even with a map, it took Tang Zheng eight minutes to reach the battlefield due to unfamiliar road conditions and nurous alleys that restricted vehicle speed.

“It’s Brother Lin,” Xu Biyun imdiately took up arms to provide support.

Three hundred ters away, Lin Weiguo and a dozen others rushed out of an alley in a frantic escape.

Behind them was a man in dark gold Thor’s Hamr Powered Armor, with a burly and powerful build, holding a Blazing Assault Rifle, invincible in his path.

Bang, the rifle adorned with a galaxy pattern fired its bullets, each wrapped with the mutated energy capable of destroying living organisms.

A newbie, hit in the back, staggered a few steps, his skin bulging with varied-sized tumors, then exploded with a bang, spattering flesh and blood everywhere.

Seeing this scene, the newbies felt their stomach acid surge and vomited; the spectacle of death before their eyes was truly disgusting.

“It’s Zhou Xiang and Lin He,” Lin Chen saw the third key mber of the team and was delighted.

He imdiately pressed the fire button, shooting at the enemy.

“It’s the new punishnt squad, looks a lot like the sergeant from the Halo ga,” Xu Biyun scanned and inford Tang Zheng of the intelligence, “Attack thod unknown.”

“Just consider them strong,” Tang Zheng surmised as a single person was suppressing Lin Weiguo’s group, granting the enemy high alert without rushing forward and steadying their position.

He put on the Hellfire, ready to repel the enemy.

Bang, the sergeant fired another bullet, another newbie exploded, their remains splattering onto others, increasing their panic.

“We can’t beat him, run!” Zuo Yi saw Tang Zheng and imdiately yelled for them to evacuate; in such a short ti, they were already more than twenty ters away from the newbies.

At this mont, no one would care about the life and death of these cannon fodder.

Tang Zheng summoned three female musketeers, tossing them three S-Class Firearms, then knelt on the war chariot and shot with a newly captured rifle.

The musketeers, true to their Shooting series as servants, hit the target with their first volley, albeit without causing any damage to the sergeant.

The second volley, however, failed.

The sergeant sensed the danger and not wanting to let the prey co together, activated the Optical Camouflage while running, making his entire body disappear from the road surface.

“Run fast,” Zeng Fanghai was startled and shouted loudly to Zhou Xiang, this enemy was the most troubleso.

“Area suppression fire,” Tang Zheng called out but was half a step too late as a newbie ran forward and suddenly a bloodstain appeared on his neck.

Then his head rolled off, and the headless corpse, due to inertia, ran a few more steps before collapsing.

The female musketeers shot at the newly fallen newbie’s position, but hit nothing.

Tang Zheng fired a Storm Barrage, still without success.

Because of her focus on agility enhancent, Lin He was fast and ran in the lead, but suddenly felt a bad premonition.

Her sweat glands stood on end, and she instinctively dodged, activating the Light Defense Shield, but was still struck through by the sergeant’s rifle and then hit squarely in the chest by an Iron Fist, sending her flying.

Zhou Xiang, thanks to his ntal intuition, was able to vaguely locate the sergeant’s position, then threw an Electromagnetic Net Bomb, and with a bang, a blue network of electric current materialised, brushing against the sergeant.

Amidst the crackling sound, it appeared and disappeared intermittently.

Lin Weiguo seized the opportunity to fire, hitting the sergeant’s head with most of the Gravity Balls to disrupt the Optical Camouflage as much as possible.

The three female musketeers also opened full firepower.

“Stop running, let’s take it down together,” Tang Zheng wouldn’t act like a defeated dog, or else all the newbies would die.

Besides, even if the sergeant chased them for just half an hour, they would be worn out, which wouldn’t be beneficial for their survival later.

It was better to muster the strength to kill it now.

“Alright,” Zhou Xiang, thinking of the sa issues, imdiately agreed and threw out a chanical Battle Puppet to attack the sergeant.

“Bi Yun, stay here,” Tang Zheng, ard with the Hellfire, swooped in and joined the battle against the sergeant.

Lin Weiguo, fully ard with steel, intended to act as a at Shield but was stopped by a look from Tang Zheng.

The Trojan Horse Ga had just begun.

Even if it cost the Hellfire, they couldn’t afford to let Brother Lin get hard here.

Besides, they still needed to be wary of the Instant Noodle Squad.
