224: Chapter 44 – Attack 224: Chapter 44 – Attack Tang Zheng quickly grabbed the quilt to cover himself, then glared at Pang iqin.
His face turned iron blue, wishing he could beat her up.
This was incredibly embarrassing.
Even though Little Fan Fan covered her eyes, she peeked through her fingers at the two of them, curiosity filling her small face.
“Get out of here.” To avoid attracting more people, Tang Zheng lowered his voice and shouted.
Pang iqin moved out of the room slowly with a pitiful and resentful look on her face.
As soon as she stepped out, she saw Zhang Lanyu coming up the stairs.
She snorted and went into her own room.
“I was too impatient and picked the wrong ti.” Pang iqin cursed inwardly.
If Tang Zheng could respond, it showed her charm was not bad, it’s just she didn’t seize the opportunity, “Damn, I won’t let him go next ti.”
“Fan Fan, what’s wrong?” Tang Zheng crawled into the quilt.
His underwear was damp from Pang iqin’s saliva but he didn’t have ti to change.
After grumbling and deciding to make do with it, he pulled the firefly figure into the quilt and began to dress.
“Uncle, a lot of police have put this place on lockdown.” Rembering why she ca to find her uncle, Little Lolita ran over and tugged on the quilt so he could co out.
“Don’t pull, did they co specifically to find us?” Tang Zheng stopped Lu Fan and asked, “How co I didn’t hear the police car siren?”
“Uh, it seems not, a neighbor just called to say the nearby blocks of villas have been sealed off, and Sister Shangwu has gone to check.” Fan Fan was a bit ashad.
She had bothered her uncle without finding out what was going on and she knew she would be underestimated.
“I’ll go down myself.” Tang Zheng took a few deep breaths to calm himself down, jumped out of the quilt, and stuffed his backpack into the wristwatch-space.
Sure enough, with no weight to carry, he felt much lighter.
Little Fan Fan followed closely behind him like a tail.
As Tang Zheng stepped out of his room, he saw Zhang Lanyu walking towards him with a cup of water.
He nodded to greet her and was about to pass her by when she tripped, falling towards him.
Without thinking, Tang Zheng reached out to hold her.
The cup of water spilled, wetting his leg.
“Are you okay?” He asked politely.
As he helped her up, he noticed she was wearing a low-cut halter skirt without a bra underneath.
From his angle, he could see everything, and her chest was pressing against his arm.
“I’m fine.” Zhang Lanyu saw that Tang Zheng’s gaze quickly passed over her chest without any lingering, so she abandoned her plan to seduce him through wiping the water stains from his pants.
She decisively stood up.
“Are there still gentlen in this world?
Or is he gay?” Seeing Tang Zheng’s walking away, Zhang Lanyu curled her lips, looking very disdainful.
“He doesn’t eat the at delivered to the door.
What a stupid man.”
“Uncle, she did that on purpose.” Little Fanfan was hesitant, but she still spoke up.
“Her falling action was too contrived, and the direction of the spilled cup was too deliberate.”
“Hmm?” Hearing this analysis, Tang Zheng looked down at his trousers and frowned.
His condition over the past two days indeed wasn’t good.
He hadn’t even noticed such an obvious flaw.
“But Uncle, why would she do that?”
Tang Zheng finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Fanfan, after all, was a little Lolita and there were many things she didn’t understand yet.
“You ca just in ti, tell us what to do?
The police and the self-defense forces have locked this down and even put up wire sh.
Many residents protested, but they were chased away.” Yin Shangwu shared the intelligence she had gathered.
“There are ambulances and fire trucks, and they don’t allow anyone to approach the wire sh, or else they directly use high-pressure water guns to push them away.”
“What are they going to do?
Are we in a concentration camp?” The male policeman teased, trying to attract the attention of several won.
When he saw Zhang Lanyu give him a smile, he felt thrill and quietly moved closer to her.
“I think it’s more like quarantine.” Tang Zheng sat down on the sofa, his calm deanour helped calm everyone else’s anxiety.
“Are they wearing anti-chemical suits?”
“Indeed, they all wear gas masks, so people in anti-chemical suits have also entered the wire sh.
They have broken up into several teams, it seems they are looking for hazardous goods.” Yin Shangwu was extrely uneasy at the sight of those suits.
“Let’s leave quickly.
Using the mory eraser, we can definitely escape.” Zhang Hao didn’t want to stay in this place.
“No way, there are too many soldiers, the inspection is too strict, and they look very nervous.
If there’s any trouble, they will definitely shoot to capture first, and talk about human rights later.” Yin Shangwu dismissed the proposal.
“Zhang Hao, iqin, Zhang Lanyu, you stay on watch for the night, everyone else go to sleep.” Tang Zheng ca up with a proposal that surprised everyone.
Yet, none of them left, choosing to wait there.
“How could anyone get any sleep in such a chaotic situation?” the policeman spoke assertively, hoping to gain so favor with Zhang Lanyu.
“Haven’t you noticed yet?
This is a delay tactic by the Russian team.
Their ‘hunting plan’ isn’t complete yet, having been disrupted by the sudden death of their teammate.
In order to prevent us from leaving, they’ve resorted to this trick, which also disrupts our emotions and adds pressure.
I think they will attack at the latest by tomorrow.” Tang Zheng stood up, heading back to his room, “Any other questions?”
Everyone thought about it and it seed plausible.
Why else would the Self-Defense Force show up to secure this area?
But they were still worried.
“If we know they’re coming, why are we still here waiting to die?” Zhang Hao, who considered himself a strong man, wanted to leave early.
“You think you can just run away?
Obviously the villa is under surveillance.
As soon as we leave, we’ll be hit hard.
We’d be really kicked when we’re down.” Tang Zheng started to simulate possible enemy attack thods in his mind, “Even if we were to leave, we would have to wait until late into the night, when the soldiers’ emotions have stabilized.
The ‘negotiations’ would be much easier then.”
Tang Zheng’s explanation seed logical and everyone felt it was safer.
But the cop saw that Zhang Lanyu glanced at him flirtatiously, impulsively he went and positioned himself in front of Tang Zheng.
“What are you trying to do?” Tang Zheng frowned, looking at the remaining newcors, “If you want to leave now, please feel free.”
“I…” Seeing Tang Zheng’s stern expression, the cop flinched, stuttering without being able to say sothing.
He looked at Zhang Lanyu again.
Under her encouraging smile, he managed to pluck up the courage and find an excuse, “The Russian team is not god-like, how could they command the Self-Defense Force?”
“Kidnapping a high-ranking officer of the Self-Defense Force, or falsely reporting that terrorists with biochemical weapons are hiding here, anyway, they’re not worried about being found out.” Tang Zheng looked at the cop, “Want to hear more?
I can at least give you ten more ways.”
“What a fool.” Lu Fan thought his teammates were useless.
Unless they had a stroke of enormous luck, they were bound not to survive till the end.
“What’s your plan then?
Tell us, give us so peace of mind.” The cop thought he’d caught the chance to grab Zhang Lanyu’s attention and didn’t want to let go of the opportunity to grill Tang Zheng, not realizing he was making a fool of himself.
“Go out and circle the villa for ten minutes, and I’ll tell you.” Tang Zheng noticed the exchange of glances between the two of them.
He snorted coldly.
He had originally not planned to do this, but seeing the cop volunteering to die, he figured he could let him be the bait.
“Huh?” The cop obviously didn’t dare to go out.
Just as he was about to refuse, he heard Zhang Lanyu praising him.
“That’s what a real man looks like, unlike so people who can only talk big.” It seed that Zhang Lanyu didn’t think much of Tang Zheng.
She publicly disparaged him, but it boosted the cop’s spirits.
“I’ll go out and scout.”
Although the policeman was sowhat flattered, he wasn’t stupid.
He decided to just circle around the villa and return.
The policeman walking towards the door didn’t see Zhang Lanyu throwing Tang Zheng a friendly glance behind his back as he turned around.
If he had, he would know that he had been played like a monkey and would surely die of anger.
“Pang iqin and her old classmates are still far from it.” Tang Zheng understood the aning behind that glance.
She was pleading to join his team, demonstrating her capabilities at the sa ti.
At six in the morning, the Self-Defense Forces blocking off the residential area started to withdraw.
The faces revealed once the gas masks ca off all expressed relief after the false alarm, and they all cursed angrily, clearly realizing it was a false alarm too.
“The ti they left was earlier than I anticipated.” Tang Zheng sat in the living room enjoying a hearty breakfast.
The police sent another car with a man standing on it, trying to soothe the residential area residents.
“Let’s take this opportunity to leave now.” The policeman was lucky enough not to get killed.
Apparently, the enemies also realize that killing him wouldn’t accomplish much and wouldn’t reveal their target.
However, the cop’s confidence skyrocketed.
No one had an appetite except for Tang Zheng and Yin Shangwu.
“Don’t be naive, they must have backup plans.
Instead of wasting ti, we should strengthen our vigilance.” Tang Zheng glanced at the ti on his wristwatch, “They think we will hesitate, be alert, or even argue about whether to send soone to scout or evacuate.
So we’d at least waste about ten minutes.
Therefore, at twenty past six, the enemy’s next wave of attacks will arrive.”
“Is that true?” The cop didn’t believe it.
He planned to mock him if nothing happened in a while.
However, right after the minute passed, a thunderous roar of engines rushed into the villa area.
A huge crowd of street racers, more than three hundred people, rushed towards Liu Nai’s villa on their bikes, circling it while screaming and yelling.
Boom, boom, they started throwing rocks.
So windows were shattered, and homade Molotov cocktails started coming in.
“Call the police!” Zhang Lanyu covered her ears, looking at the fire burning in the house, she scread in panic.
