Chapter 1639: Chapter 39 Assassination

Lu Fan hadn’t expected his subtle action to play the role of cutting the ground from under the feet. Not only did it bring the altar to the brink of collapse, causing the Heavenly Energy being infused into the Spirit Embryo to rapidly drain away, but even the Dark Maitreya lost most of its energy.

Maitreya entered its second form, and its combat power should have skyrocketed, but to nd the altar, it beca even weaker than its first form.

The little Lolita grinned from ear to ear, paying no mind to wiping the mud off her face, and worked even harder to sandify the altar.

The faces of the five teams in the Erasure Zone changed drastically. They abandoned their formation, forgoing defense and going all-out with full firepower, hurling various ultimate skills at Maitreya.

Points changed at lightning speed, like windmills spinning furiously. Teams that hadn’t yet entered the safe zone also panicked, unleashing a frenzy of skills.

But no matter how fierce they were, none matched the wild, domineering aura of Ma Tianyuan!

His arm outfitted with golden fist armor, Ma Tianyuan flashed through the air like a teor, appearing before Maitreya in an instant and delivering a heavy uppercut.

Maitreya raised its hand to block, but the imnse force carried its arm into its jaw. As its head tilted back, its entire body shot straight upward like a flying fish breaching the surface.

Whoosh—Ma Tianyuan vanished, leaving behind a faint shadow, reappearing above Maitreya’s head. His right fist was poised, tearing through the air so quickly that water droplets mixed with a ring of white air, scattering outward explosively.

When Ma Tianyuan struck Maitreya, slamming it to the ground, the sound of sonic booms and the thudding clash of fists finally reached everyone’s ears.

Maitreya was like a sandbag, being pumled incessantly in mid-air.

Lower-tier Conquerors could no longer see Ma Tianyuan’s figure, only streams of golden afterimages lingering in their vision.

The bottom-ranked teams were miserable; their leaders were the only ones able to hit the target, while lower-tier mbers’ skills all missed completely.

“Imasurable Gold Body.” Maitreya, his face covered in blood, roared furiously, his whole body glowing with radiant gold.

Ma Tianyuan reacted swiftly and darted to escape the battle area, but Maitreya was even faster, slamming a Vajra Palms Seal down onto his body.

Boom—like a baseball hit for a ho run, Ma Tianyuan flew a hundred ters away, embedding himself into a nearby building.

With a at shield in play, a leader fought feverishly, beams continuously shooting from his fingertips, but in a flash, Maitreya appeared right before him.

“Damn it!” The leader recognized his disadvantage, extending both hands to unleash beams from his ten fingers while retreating rapidly.

Maitreya grabbed his skull, and everyone could see his neck being torn open. The headless corpse sprayed blood as it flew over ten ters and crashed to the ground.

With a squish, Maitreya crushed the head and rushed toward the edge of the altar. It was still tilting, which ant that he hadn’t managed to kill that pesky little girl earlier.

Clad in black armor, Tang Zheng stood before Maitreya, a white dwarf star spinning rapidly above his head, radiating a Gravity Abyss.

“Get lost!” Maitreya swung his fist, breaking through the spatial boundary with a punch that seed to teleport, filling Tang Zheng’s entire view.

Boom—Tang Zheng stood firm, sending an uppercut that collided with Maitreya’s fist, deflecting it off course.

Maitreya gritted his teeth, swinging both fists in blind fury.

Tang Zheng refused to yield, retaliating with a double punch of his own.

Four iron fists clashed like teors crashing into Earth. Each collision shattered the air, rain exploding violently, and even the space seed to collapse.

Bam, bam—Tang Zheng’s arm armor cracked, blood sprayed, his feet remained planted, but he was forced back over ten ters, carving two trenches into the ground, which were quickly swallowed by heavy rain.

“Is that all you’ve got?” Tang Zheng’s internal organs were injured, his throat tasted tallic, and blood dripped from the corner of his mouth. Yet after the pain passed, a warm torrent spread through his limbs and bones.

Mitochondria, Virus Fusion Body, Fire Seeds—upon Tang Zheng’s injury, they spontaneously released energy, repairing his body and squeezing every ounce of potential from his cells to the limit.

From his dantian, a golden cube rotated, empowering every attack Tang Zheng made with greater speed and strength. Golden threads even began to extend from his fists, attempting to entangle Maitreya and analyze its structure.

This was the Key of Ti and Space, a unique item coveted by even the Trojans.

In the Trojan Horse Ga, each Trojan was independent, possessing different permissions and managing multiple Trojan Worlds. To grow stronger, they had to “devour” their opponents—consuming the Keys of Ti and Space and seizing permissions.

Due to the BOSS’s directive, Trojans from the sa main world could only compete fairly. They were only allowed to attack invading Trojans from other worlds. This presented both opportunities and threats. A mont of carelessness could lead to their world’s destruction and the loss of their Key of Ti and Space.

The loss of the Key of Ti and Space ant the Trojan’s demise, and the worlds they managed would beco ga realms. Even intelligent species, no matter how unwilling, would unknowingly beco akin to NPCs.

Trojans were seen as world managers because they possessed the Key of Ti and Space. Tang Zheng had fused with it, which, while not making him a manager, allowed him to resist partial control and break free from the Trojan’s grasp.

If the world was a prison and the Trojan was a warden holding the highest permissions, then Tang Zheng was the escaped prisoner, capable of enjoying freedom even under the Trojan’s watchful eyes.

Bound by permissions, Trojans couldn’t harm Tang Zheng without reason, though they could resort to underhanded sches. Still, possessing the Key of Ti and Space—how could he be a weakling?

The Key of Ti and Space, though made by the big BOSS, remained indecipherable to even the Trojans. But one thing was certain: it could analyze worlds and deconstruct all matter.

The golden threads extending from Tang Zheng’s hands were the touch that the Key of Ti and Space extended toward this world. If given workable samples like the live specins of Dark Maitreya or the Spirit Embryo, and sufficient material, it could, in ti, clone identical life forms.

Tang Zheng had fused with part of it. If he fully consud the Key of Ti and Space, he could even create Fire Seeds and controllable mitochondria. Of course, the material consumption involved was enough to deter him.

This explained the abundance of items on the Trojan List—having one original was enough for cloning.

The Silver Trojan had vaguely suspected that Tang Zheng might have acquired the Key of Ti and Space. After all, his growth trajectory was far too aggressive. But it wouldn’t be generous enough to explain it to him, leaving Tang Zheng to guard a treasure trove without knowing how to use it.

Mu Nianqi stepped forward forcefully, water splashing everywhere, and shot electric bolts toward Maitreya’s back along with over ten third-tier-ranked leaders who charged forward.

Maitreya sensed the wind power from behind, pressed its legs down, and then jumped upward, dodging in zigzag motions.

Shing—Mu Nianqi released clones, wielding her Tang Sword to intercept.

At the crossroads of the Long Street surrounding the altar, Dark Buddha Statues and Terracotta Warriors had appeared. However, before they could approach, they were intercepted by the lower-tier group mbers.

Killing these underlings also granted points, and the risk was lower, unlike facing Maitreya, which could lead to instant death.

“Everyone get lost—Maitreya is mine!” Ma Tianyuan returned, blocking Maitreya’s path. His roar made several leaders instinctively stop.

Tang Zheng paid them no mind, continuing his relentless attacks on Maitreya. After all, Ma’s Gang was an old team known for their steady accumulation under the vice leader’s command, holding their point advantage over the Warhamr team.

“Tang Zheng, are you dead set against ?” Ma Tianyuan glared at Tang Zheng with eyes like copper bells.

“What if I am? Bite ,” Tang Zheng retorted, noticing Maitreya’s eyes flicker before extending the Gravity Abyss’s radiation range.

Ma Tianyuan’s body stiffened for a split second—less than a millisecond—but against a boss like Maitreya, it was enough to deal him a heavy blow.

Boom—Ma Tianyuan was smashed away again, crashing through another building.

Conquerors watched in shock. They hadn’t expected the newly erged rookie to be so unyielding to Ma Tianyuan, even going head-to-head against him. With Ma Tianyuan’s strength, being swiftly knocked away was impossible—it was clearly Tang Zheng’s doing.

“It’s gravitational control, a super powerful crowd-control skill!” A girl with the ability of vision magic saw through Tang Zheng’s capabilities.

“Tang Zheng, our Ma’s Gang will fight you to the death!”

“Vice leader, kill him!”

“Yes, show them the consequences of ssing with Ma’s Gang—the only outco is death!”

These people were tied to Ma Tianyuan’s fate. Seeing their leader suffer, they cursed furiously but refrained from acting due to the team battle rules.

Witnessing such threats, the Conquerors felt a chill for Tang Zheng and his crew, but their retaliation soon followed.

“Haha, do you really think your cheap tricks could make us panic and slip up? You’re underestimating us,” Jiang Xiuming sneered.

“Fine, focus on the fight,” the vice leader conceded, giving up on provoking them after realizing their ploy wouldn’t work.

“Damn, in high-level duels, any distraction could prove fatal.” So team mbers wiped their sweat, realizing they’d been set up. Their distraction weakened their attacks, led to a point drop, and caused further shifts in ranking.

“No punishnt?” Tang Zheng had been uneasy about interfering with Ma Tianyuan, but breathing a sigh of relief after encountering no warnings. Still, he didn’t dare push his luck. The Silver Trojan had a notorious reputation for punishing with erasure without warning, and Tang Zheng wasn’t looking to die a pointless death.

“Ugh, I’m seriously injured, and I can’t control my power anymore!” Taking advantage of being punched by Maitreya, Tang Zheng displayed a pained expression while expanding the Gravity Abyss toward Ma’s Gang.

The Ma’s Gang formation staggered, their offensive faltered.

Ruan Feifei’s lightning storm raged, and Li Xinlan’s Ice Age turned the altar into an icy wasteland, frost and ice blooming everywhere.

Mu Nianqi was never one for verbal battles. Seeing her Spiral of Destruction failing against Maitreya and Ma Tianyuan coming back for more, she gritted her teeth and unleashed Nabistin’s Angry Wave.

A colossal tsunami ford in the sky, carrying overwhelming force that drowned Maitreya.

“Imasurable Gold Body!” Maitreya activated its strongest defense, but it crumbled under the successive impacts of the massive wave’s sevenfold blows, its entire form shredded into broken flesh.

Ma Tianyuan launched a palm strike, but before it could reach Maitreya, it was shattered by the colossal wave.

“Leader, don’t act rashly!” The vice leader, battered and bruised, flew back and pulled Ma Tianyuan away. At this point, even if they unleashed their ultimate skills, they could no longer claim the kill.
