1549: Chapter 11 Monster 1549: Chapter 11 Monster So newbies saw the woman’s body, battered beyond recognition by bullets, first stood in a daze, then vomited.
Their faces were pale with terror; they had never imagined such an outco, even those newcors who had resolved to kill were trembling now.
After all, they hadn’t experienced bloodshed; unless one was a homicidal maniac, everyone needed ti to adapt.
Most of the Conquerors were expressionless, accustod to these sights, but so showed signs of distress.
The man, seeing his wife killed, charged at the thin black man like a madman.
But as soon as he stood up, he was kicked in the crotch by a braided Indonesian man next to him, curled up like a shrimp and convulsed on the ground.
The eldest son also sprung into action, but before he could reach the thin man, he was targeted by several assault rifles and shot into a honeycomb.
It was the Indonesians and Vietnase who shot, aiming at the son as their target, hence competing for the kill.
The Trojan Squad didn’t move; first, they had no orders from Tang Zheng, and second, seeing the son’s filial actions, so were reluctant to proceed.
Tang Zheng did not bla his team mbers, as a group leader, he felt it beneath him to strike those weaker ones.
“Anyone carrying gold, leave so; let’s go!” After Tang Zheng ordered, he walked a few steps and heard gunshots and argunts behind him.
“Have you lost your mind?” Lu Fan held a gun, pointing it at the thin black man, and this move also drew Qin Yan and the others to aim at him.
The Indonesians readied their guns at once, while the Vietnase, unconcerned, retreated to the back.
“You’re the one who’s lost it.
We’re the support; attacking us ans losing points!” The thin black man glared at Lu Fan, wishing he could skin her.
“Why did you kill those two children?
They were not the targets.” Lu Fan was slow to react.
The head of the family was killed, now only one child remained, crying over his mother’s body; the other was still in a coma.
If little loli hadn’t been quick, they too would be dead.
“You have to eradicate the roots when cutting grass; who knows if they’re monsters?
I don’t want to be hunted down.” The thin black man roared loudly, “Are you Conquerors as well?
With hearts as soft as won.”
“The Vietnase didn’t say a word.
Why do you Chinese care so much?” A woman with a rough voice defended her companion.
This comnt turned Ruan Chenghao’s face to iron blue, silently cursing the ddleso Indonesians.
“It’s your bloodlust, don’t drag us into it.” The dagger woman was dissatisfied.
As Conquerors, who cared about the lives of ordinary people?
Surviving was what mattered most, she too disliked the Chinese for being nosy.
“Shut up, this topic is off-limits!” Tang Zheng frowned.
“Pretending to be saintly!” A girl muttered.
Tang Zheng waved his hand, and a force like a warhamr fiercely slapped her face, sending the girl flying with a nosebleed.
The Indonesians tensed up, they would have opened fire if not for the muzzles of more guns pointed at them.
“Continue with the mission!” Tang Zheng glanced over.
So newbies and the Trojan Squad stood on the sa front, pointing their guns at the Indonesians, right or wrong; others were too timid and did not want to be caught in the crossfire, while the rest disassociated themselves, watching from the sidelines – Sun Guofeng and his group fell into the latter category, wishing for Tang Zheng’s downfall.
Dantai also committed the faces of these people to mory.
“Our mission is to kill these people?” A newbie couldn’t help it and asked.
An awkward silence.
“Don’t you all feel sothing is amiss?
Why are all the people we kill just ordinary folks?” Lu Fan frowned, deep in thought, “I just feel sothing is wrong.”
“Why bother with so much?
Just do as the list says, Trojan wouldn’t make a mistake.” The dagger woman thought these people were foolish.
Upon hearing this, Tang Zheng and Dantai’s hearts skipped a beat, and Gu Xueqi and Mu Nianqi also thought of the worst possible answer.
The mission continued; the third target was a bartender, and after thirty minutes, they found him in a bar.
Tang Zheng and his party looked like uninvited guests, causing the bar’s security to act and block them.
The thin black man was groping a woman, even bending down to force a kiss.
“Gentlen, this is not a place for you to run wild,” the head of security was about to explode with anger; if it were not for their outnumbering, he would have taken action already.
“Blackie, you better restrain yourself!” Tang Zheng was at the brink of tolerance, staring at the black-handed man, “If you want to die, I can oblige you.”
“Another moralistic freak!” the black-handed man grumbled, flipping his wrist and pulling out a Howling Reaper, spraying bullets at the surrounding security guards.
Ratatat, the muzzle fla burst forth, blood and flesh exploding into the air; the security guards didn’t even have ti to scream before they lay on the ground.
The young people who had co to the bar fled in fear of being caught in the crossfire, and upon hearing the gunshots, hurried even more to escape.
So unfortunate souls were trampled to the ground, screaming miserably.
The newbies covered their ears and crouched down.
The husky-voiced woman had had her eye on the bartender and, taking advantage of the distraction her comrades created, she opened fire furiously on him.
To make sure, she beastified and pounced on him.
The bartender was hit and collapsed to the ground.
The bottles and glasses behind him shattered, spilling liquor and glass like a shower of fallen heavenly maidens.
“Another piece of trash!” The husky-voiced woman kicked the corpse, hefted her heavy magnetic storm rifle, turned to regroup, and was t with the astonished expressions of her teammates.
“Careful!” Latif warned, sending out six crescent-shaped blades of air, but it was too late.
A dozen tentacles burst from the bartender’s body, wrapping around the husky-voiced woman, secreting mucus that corroded her protective clothing, and so even latched onto her head, extending dense whiplike tentacles that pierced her skin.
Accompanied by the woman’s screams, the bartender-turned-monster injected her with venom, as if she was being drenched in concentrated sulfuric acid.
Her body sizzled, emitting white smoke, visibly dissolving.
The Indonesian team’s burly man turned out to be a healer, but unfortunately, the white orb of healing he threw took effect too slowly, and the bartender had already crushed the husky-voiced woman’s head outright.
The headless corpse fell, almost driving the newbies insane with fear.
Only the Indonesians were firing.
The Vietnase and the Warhamr Squad took a silent step back, using them to test the ttle of the monster while collecting information for future battles.
“Attack!” The Indonesians, being an old team, did not abandon their comrade, launching an offensive with various ammunition and skills directed at the monster.
The bartender had transford into a giant flesh ball, covered in tentacles that not only sprayed venom but also struck out like venomous snakes at the Trojan Squad.
“Damn, retreat!” Seeing the husky-voiced woman’s death and the other two squads not intervening, Latif was almost enraged.
He had wanted his n to withdraw from combat, not to give others the upper hand, but the recent attack had drawn the monster’s attention to them, pursuing them closely.
“Retreat fast!” Latif created a wall of air to stop the monster.
The Conquerors, trash as they were, were still quicker than the newbies.
In under two seconds, all had retreated behind them.
Under the multicolored laser lights, the faces of the panicking newbies reflected back at them.
Instinctively, they pulled the triggers, bullets flying erratically, and two unlucky newbies got caught in the crossfire.
The monster leapt forward, tentacles thrusting fiercely, stabbing two newbies and leaving behind nothing but corpses in a blink of an eye.
“Go, blow it up!” Tang Zheng directed his group mbers to fight, as these newbies were his fellow countryn who couldn’t just die in this manner, even if trashy.
The gravity field activated, flattening the monster’s uniformly protruding tentacles against the ground as if struck by an invisible giant hand.
Tao Ran’s ti-space blackfish darted out, fiercely tearing at the monster, ripping off chunks of flesh.
The ground cracked open, spewing hot red lava that engulfed the monster through and through, igniting it, the sll of charred blackness and thick smoke pervading.
Ruan Feifei’s lightning flashed, striking the monster, then spreading along the nearby tal.
Pang iqin’s ferocious bird screeched, emitting a blue-white energy column that blew away one third of the monster’s body; at the sa ti, Chu Baichuan tossed a few hand grenades in its direction.
Boom, boom, the rising flas and the blast wave engulfed the giant atball in an instant, the tentacles dehydrated and withered, turning to ashes in a mont.
“No need for close combat,” Dantai said, holding back the old soldier, continuously bombarding the opponent with a psychic storm.
The instantaneous show of strength by the Warhamr Squad scared the Vietnase and Indonesians.
Seeing the monster being beaten without the ability to fight back, they weren’t willing to miss the chance to kick soone when they’re down, unleashing a barrage of skills.
The monster struggled weakly, its overall strength equivalent to a 2nd tier hero, no match against such a multitude of Conquerors.
“Not even a hair lost?” Latif’s face darkened with rage, wanting to kill soone.
The husky-voiced woman was a third-order after all, and to die so worthlessly was a true waste.
Most newbies had yet to calm down, but so had already gathered around the Conquerors, smiling nervously and inquiring about those superpowers.
“They are activated by seeds.” The skinny black man intentionally stirred trouble for the Warhamr Squad, trying to drive a wedge in their relationship.
“As long as you fight hard for survival, engage in combat, and contribute to the team, you can get seeds and acquire abilities,” Dantai reassured the newbies, but deep down, he had already written most of them off as cannon fodder.
For him, loyalty and character outweighed potential.
They waited an entire hour for the fourth target to appear.
In the anti, policen arrived at the scene of the bar incident, but for the Conquerors with their abilities, escaping their pursuit was all too easy.
“Heh, it’s the Chinese turn now,” the skinny black man gloated as he looked at the na and avatar on the screen.
“What do we do?
Fly back to China?” Shen Jiashu and Fang Zhiwen approached Tang Zheng, hoping to take advantage of their alumni relationship for so special treatnt.
Before Tang Zheng could answer, the teleportation began.
When their vision cleared, they found themselves in a modern city.
Recognizing the familiar newsstand and the signage for the botanic garden, Tang Zheng’s face and those with him darkened.
Most of the Warhamr Squad had lived in this city; of course they would recognize it.
The newbies looked at each other in disbelief, viewing the familiar street scenes and even wondering if they had just been dreaming.
“Don’t waste ti, let’s find the target!” Latif urged, as the distant sound of a fire truck’s siren could faintly be heard.
