1436: Chapter 25 Critical Situation (3rd update, additional) 1436: Chapter 25 Critical Situation (3rd update, additional) The commander’s headless neck sprayed a pillar of blood, as his head rolled away.
A green-skinned soldier, wielding a chopper, charged toward Tang Zheng.
Seeing the commander killed, he halted abruptly, like he had been swatted by a fly.
The warrior sheathed his blade, took down the longbow from his back, grabbed four arrows from his quiver with his right hand, and drew the bowstring into a full circle.
Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh, the consecutive arrows, bursting through the air, struck the green-skinned soldiers in the eye sockets, piercing through their heads and carrying their bodies a good seven or eight ters before they fell.
After shooting the last arrow, the warrior forcefully twitched his hips diagonally, just as the four long arrows shot out.
He caught them with one hand, not wasting even a breath’s ti, and drew his bow fully again, launching a strike as swift as a teor.
Tang Zheng threw his chainsaw knife, nailing a green-skinned soldier, then casually searched the commander’s pockets, finding a Golden Seed and a tallic-looking key.
Green-skinned Token, S-grade, a rare item, obtained in special scenes, can summon ten beastn to assist you in battle, entertain, and keep you company through lonely nights.
Seeing the latter two, Tang Zheng couldn’t help but snicker; even the dropped items by the green-skinned were humorous.
He wasn’t kinky enough to let green-skinned sleep in his bed.
“Hmph, next ti don’t steal my prey,” Mu Nianqi grumbled, unhappy that Tang Zheng had interfered.
It wasn’t that she cared about the spoils, but she did not want to be subservient to others.
After seeing the Blade Empress’s dominance, she wanted to be the first in everything and was eager to improve her strength.
“Then you better act faster next ti!” Tang Zheng shrugged, pulled out an explosive arrow gun from his power armor, and went to kill beastn.
Following the commander’s death, the green-skinned beastn plunged into chaos again.
The Conquerors took the opportunity to attack, mowing them down like grass.
By the ti the green-skinned’s blood-heated brains cald down and they prepared to retreat, they found they were already surrounded.
“Drop your weapons, surrender and we won’t kill!” Dong Zixuan, holding an explosive arrow gun, bellowed at the beastn pinned down on a small slope.
“You’ve watched too many anti-Japanese war dramas, huh?” Sha Ou teased, “Talking about humanitarianism with these monsters, just kill them all!”
“You all forgot the most important problem, language barriers!” Ruan Feifei reminded, even though Tang Zheng had the highest score and had almost bought all language specializations, he still couldn’t understand the green-skinned language, which sounded like frog croaks.
Ignoring the Conquerors, the green-skinned beastn clustered together, debating whether to surrender.
Apparently disagreeing, two of them started fighting, and instead of breaking up the fight, the other beastn simply ford a circle around them, cheering thunderously.
Even more absurdly, a beastman started shouting, circling the group, collecting money from his fellows, obviously setting up a gambling pool on the spot.
“I always heard the green-skinned beastn in Warhamr World were joyful; it’s actually true,” Xu Biyun remarked, regretting that her wristwatch was ineffective, or she would have taken out her mobile phone to capture so photos for keepsake.
“Stop wasting ti, kill them all!” Tang Zheng wiped the fresh blood from his feet, walking toward the shelter.
The Conquerors, taken aback, looked at Tang Zheng; with his notoriously nice guy personality, they thought he would let these creatures go, but instead, they heard a command for a massacre.
“He’s right, this one’s tough, we can’t afford any luck from now on, we must get tough,” Fu Tianxiao spoke up, glancing around, then tightened his finger on the trigger toward the facing green-skinned beastn.
Though rely foot soldiers, killing them would still earn several points.
“I won’t be polite then!” Fu Tianxiao was about to revel quietly in his gain when gunshots erupted from the woods.
Pang iqin, previously known for skulking tricks, and Gu Xueqi, with strong observational powers, noticed Fu Tianxiao’s smug face and opened fire.
“You?” Fu Tianxiao was almost furious, as the beastn were killed by two won, and she didn’t even get a single head.
Qin Yan and the others didn’t care about such trivial points; they were still staring at Tang Zheng, his figure emanating iron-clad, cold indifference, exuding a brutal aura.
The Conquerors understood, this was not a ga, but a life-and-death war, a rciless slaughter competition where no pity was needed!
Gu Xueqi, silent, moved away from Fu Tianxiao.
Pang iqin, however, stopped in front of her, giving her an icy stare.
“What, what are you doing?” Fu Tianxiao was actually scared.
“Thinking of taking advantage of ?
Maybe next life, and a warning, Tang Zheng is mine, stay away from him or I’ll blow your head off!” the Beautiful Leg Stewardess eyed Fu Tianxiao’s eyes, emitting a nacing threat.
Pang iqin didn’t bother to lower her voice, so Qin Yan and Xin Lan heard it, couldn’t help frowning, and gave her a glance.
“Showing off?” Xin Lan knew, Pang iqin’s words were also directed at all the won in the Warhamr Team, the powerful stewardess declaring Tang Zheng’s ownership.
“Arrogant, just try to steal your boyfriend!” Dong Zixuan muttered discontentedly at Pang iqin’s attitude, though she’d just say it and not actually do it.
Tao Ran, inherently insecure and weak, now felt even less inclined to speak with Tang Zheng; she felt she wasn’t worthy of him.
Hearing this, Gu Xueqi rembered sharing a sleeping bag with Tang Zheng, but quickly dismissed the thought.
“Bastard, I’m going to steal him, seduce him thoroughly, and squeeze him dry in bed.
Hmph, just you wait and dine on my leftovers!” Fu Tianxiao muttered to herself bitterly after Pang iqin walked past, not wanting to provoke her since the Warhamr Squad had many mbers, “A bunch of horny bitches daring to talk to like that, what trash!”
The Green-skinned Beasts’ weapons were too shoddy; there was no need to clean up the battlefield.
Tang Zheng just directed everyone to collect the functional vehicles.
“Aren’t there still human vehicles in the shelter?
Why bother with this junk?”
The war chariots were sared with beastman fluids mixed with various disgusting slls, including sweat, making it nauseating to touch, and Sha Ou, holding his nose, really didn’t want to touch them.
“I just checked the map we found.
The northeastern direction is where the beastman divisions are advancing.
Driving a human vehicle there would be suicidal,” the Old Soldier worried, “I wonder how Dantai and the others are doing.”
“Yeah, Dantai and the others went to scout and must have been encircled,” Sha Ou shuddered at the thought of the dense beastman troops he had seen earlier, thankful he wasn’t chosen as a scout.
“Don’t worry, Dantai will definitely find a way to escape,” Tang Zheng reassured the Old Soldier, though he himself was unsure, “Qing Shuang, how is it going?
Can you fix the radio?”
During the sudden fight earlier, Qin Yan and Xin Lan had followed the plan, attacking several vehicles and trying to eliminate the communication soldiers to prevent them from leaking information about the ambush and calling for reinforcents.
The plan worked well, but now there was a little trouble.
Tang Zheng wanted to use the radio, but it needed repairs, luckily they had Shen Qingshuang, who was skilled in chanics.
“No problem, but I need to replace a few parts,” Shen Qingshuang wiped the sweat from her forehead, trying to save ti.
“After it’s fixed, every ten minutes, tell them through the public radio to et in the northeast!” Tang Zheng patted Shen Qingshuang on the shoulder and left as he had other things to deal with.
Since the beastn didn’t understand Chinese, even if they died trying, they probably wouldn’t be able to crack what it ant.
“So, you’re not planning to wait for Dantai and the others?” Qin Yan was worried about Bai Guo, that Natural Stupid better be safe.
“No ti left, Dantai will definitely guess my decision.
After all, they’re closer to the front than us.
Maybe they can et up with us before reaching the racing point,” Tang Zheng made this decision knowing Dantai was scouting the northeastern direction.
“Are you so sure?
What if they change their direction midway?” Nose Ring said this just to annoy the Warhamr Team.
“They won’t.
By the traces, we can deduce that the human retreat took the northeastern direction, which also ans that only by heading this way can we encounter a big city and gather enough information.” Gu Xueqi explained, preempting Tang Zheng’s need to.
By then, both teams’ newbies had already left the shelter, moving supplies and preparing to retreat.
Seeing the fresh corpses, they were scared but also more obedient to commands, fearful of being left behind.
Tang Zheng wanted exactly this effect, apart from the carrot, a necessary stick was also indispensable.
Nose Ring had nothing to say, feeling a bit defeated, realizing how foolish he was compared to others.
“How can you be sure Dantai will definitely have a radio?
What if they miss the information that was left behind?” Xiaobai continued questioning dismissively.
“Do you think Dantai is as dumb as you?” Lu Fan was annoyed with these people; his uncle already had enough on his mind without them causing trouble, so he couldn’t help mocking them, “With so many beastn attacking from behind, do you think he wouldn’t worry about our safety?
To make quick contact, he’d opt for the easiest thod—seize a beastman radio, since you can just grab one.
Otherwise, do you think you can transmit thoughts?”
Xiaobai was left speechless.
“Why do I feel like Yue Jing’s Conquerors are all so dumb, always asking stupid questions?”
“Stupid?
If it were you, you couldn’t think of it either.
It only shows the Warhamr Squad is very capable with sharp insights.”
“Anyway, we’re lucky.
If we were in Yue Jing’s team, we’d probably lose our lives.
Okay, stop talking and hurry up with the moving.”
“Hurry up and get ready, we’re leaving in ten minutes!” Qin Yan patrolled back and forth to make sure nothing was missed.
Even the Conquerors had no breaks, all were busy collecting anything useful.
Yue Jing watched Tang Zheng delegate tasks to his subordinates, holding a map in deep thought, suddenly feeling so inadequate compared to others in everything but strength.
The warm spring wind blew through the woods, the fleet was ready, and Tang Zheng stood on an assault vehicle, waving his arm forward.
“Let’s go!”
The engines roared, shattering the quiet of the woods and scattering many birds.
Dantai, leading a scout team, encountered another Trojan Squad.
