1427: Chapter 16 – Playing Around (2nd Update) 1427: Chapter 16 – Playing Around (2nd Update) Dark clouds drifted, obscuring the bright noon sun and casting vast shadows; the battle in the forest intensified.
Fight till now, the Green-skinned Beasts had already left behind more than five hundred corpses and had yet to see a chance of defeating the enemy.
Annoyed, the commander roared, urging the soldiers to quickly annihilate the enemy.
Tang Zheng was a bit stunned; he had originally intended to summon the female musketeers to feign an attack, luring the Green Skins away, but their combat power exploded, astonishingly suppressing the Beastn right in front of them.
The Green Skins divided into two squads to flank their opponents, but now, the battlefield beca reversed as the initial front collapsed under the female musketeer group, with both wings nearly blocking Tang Zheng’s escape routes.
“I’ve let this get out of hand,” Tang Zheng wiped the sweat off his forehead and quickly adjusted, “stop playing around, bombard the eight o’clock direction, break out at full speed.”
The female gunner lifted her long legs, kicking the body of the cannon; the bulky cannon surprisingly swiveled around agilely, perfectly aiming at the direction Tang Zheng had indicated.
Boom, boom, boom, the female gunner yanked the firing cord fiercely; the cannon roared, imdiately comncing a carpet bombardnt, forcefully creating a corridor paved with flesh and blood.
So fast-running Green Skins were unlucky; they were exploded into nothingness, soil and fresh blood falling like rain, the sights dominated by bright red.
Marilyn scarcely aid before pulling the trigger, and a Beastman two hundred ters away was hit in the eye, his head penetrated.
“Group Leader, don’t worry, they’re just a bunch of rabble.
We’ll quickly eliminate them!” Marilyn worked the bolt, and the golden ammo casing hopped out, falling into the soil.
“Eliminate them for what?
To scavenge?” Tang Zheng felt depressed as the Green Skins’ equipnt was incredibly crude and even non-standardized.
If there really wasn’t any other choice, he would never use those beast-slling firearms.
“Don’t be angry.
How about I join you in so recreational activities?” Marilyn threw a provocative look, clearly suggestive.
She ran past Tang Zheng, her right hand even boldly grabbing his buttocks.
Tang Zheng was stunned, successfully caught off guard.
“Group Leader, your buttock muscles are very resilient, I like it.” Marilyn, always bold and unrestrained, flirtatiously teased Tang Zheng.
Seeing their owner embarrassed, the female musketeers could no longer hold back and all burst out laughing.
The Beastn changed tactics, starting to focus fire on the female musketeers, hoping to break them individually, with the three gunners naturally becoming the main targets.
Several flashes of lightning and rain-like grenades rained down on them.
“Be careful!” Tang Zheng yelled, though he knew it was futile.
The female musketeers, though agile, couldn’t escape this type of carpet bombardnt; but the next second, sothing happened that once again brought him joy—the musketeers’ defense power increased.
A mont before the bombardnt hit, semi-transparent half-color shields sprung up around the three gunners, blocking the shockwaves, though their bodies were knocked back.
“The shields’ strength is probably S-grade, their physical condition roughly on par with an ordinary Conqueror’s first stage, but I’m not sure if it will continue to strengthen,” Tang Zheng silently calculated, evaluating if there were any tactics suitable for them.
The female musketeers were ant to clear out the cannon fodder.
Of course, for ordinary Conquerors, these cannon fodder also posed a considerable challenge, but as a group leader, Tang Zheng should target the enemy’s core strength, rather than playing the scavenger to save the situation.
The Beastn, not very intelligent but extrely warlike, got increasingly excited as the battle intensified; they even lost so control and charged out of cover, eager to engage the enemy in hand-to-hand combat.
Tang Zheng’s assault drew the Green Skins towards him; they howled, charging wave after wave, employing human wave tactics.
Eventually, the female musketeer group couldn’t carve a quick path and was surrounded by the Beastn.
“Fall back, follow and push forward!” Tang Zheng stopped a few of the female musketeers wanting to play the Dare to Die Team, picked up a Beastn’s three-barreled machine gun from the ground, and began firing towards the front.
Bullets swept like a storm through a 120-degree fan-shaped area in front, breaking trees and knocking Beastn down, but this didn’t intimidate them.
“Watch your back!” Spotting several Beastn suddenly darting out from behind so large trees to the right front, Marilyn hastily warned.
Sophie, not bothering to reload, drew her rapier.
Tang Zheng turned around, swung the heavy machine gun in his hands, smashing one Beastman, then lunged forward, delivering a fierce palm thrust to another Beastman’s jaw, breaking its neck.
The remaining few Beastn shot at him, but Tang Zheng took cover behind the flying corpses, unhard, while their combat mates twitched pitifully under the bullet barrage.
The Beastn exhausted their ammo clips, ready to reload, but Tang Zheng, grabbing a rifle from a corpse, popped up and picked them off one by one.
Tang Zheng, with full firepower, could wipe them out in thirty seconds, but seeing little value in that, led the female musketeer group to rapidly retreat.
Two hundred ters away, he instructed the female musketeers to run a distance while he found a dirt pit and lay down in it.
“Group Leader, close your eyes!” Marilyn playfully scooped up so fallen leaves, throwing them over him, while the other female musketeers also ran over and buried him with leaves, giggling unseriously.
“Be serious, move out,” Tang Zheng grumbled; Marilyn would eventually lead these gunners astray.
The Green Skins quickly charged up, howling and running over, the fallen leaves rustling under their feet.
“Damn, we’ve been spotted.” Tang Zheng, lying comfortably, suddenly had a large foot step on him; he was about to get up to fight when the Beastman who stepped on him foolishly ran past.
Tang Zheng had not even relaxed when a Beastman’s foot stepped next to his head, nearly stamping a mark on his face.
“Die!” Tang Zheng snapped, suddenly jumping up, activating the Particle Vibration Knife, and stabbing it into the back of the Beastman.
He was lucky; this was already the last one, so he wasn’t discovered.
Tang Zheng returned the sa way he ca and, after five minutes, suddenly stopped.
“Who’s there?
Co out!” Tang Zheng raised his rifle towards a large tree, having heard faint breathing from the other side.
“With a leader as strong as yours, do you still need soone else’s rescue?” The Psychic type tattooed woman erged, casting an irritated glance at Qin Yan behind her.
The Sister was worried about Tang Zheng, so she had asked the Psychic type tattooed woman to assist, hoping to manipulate the environnt to help Tang Zheng escape the Beastman.
Bai Guo, as always the tag-along, was also there, sizing up Tang Zheng and relieved to see him unhard.
The tattooed woman couldn’t refute; otherwise, the Sister would engage the Beastman in combat, exposing their shelter and implicating everyone in her misfortune.
“Thanks.
How’s the situation?” Tang Zheng hardened his heart to avoid eting Qin Yan’s caring gaze, bypassing the two won towards the shelter.
“Hey, I haven’t told you the route yet, where are you going blindly?” The tattooed woman thought Tang Zheng polite yet conceited, “If you’re capable, find the entrance yourself.”
Tang Zheng shrugged his shoulders and, after walking over a hundred ters, swung his right hand violently, blowing the leaves on the ground with the wind power he generated, uncovering an iron board.
“Impossible, how did you find it?” The tattooed woman was astounded, “The leaves were so thick, there shouldn’t have been any footprints on the ground?”
“Hmph, Tang Zheng’s IQ isn’t sothing you can fathom,” Bai Guo muttered, feeling proud; her brother-in-law was indeed impressive.
In her heart, Bai Guo had already decided Tang Zheng would be Sister Qin Yan’s husband; no one was allowed to compete.
“That’s because you couldn’t see it,” Tang Zheng touched his nose, “Also, don’t spray so much perfu next ti; the sll is enough to kill mosquitos.”
“You monster; even Yue Jing, with her Hero Level, couldn’t have such strong perception,” the tattooed woman was initially stunned, then overwhelmingly impressed, but what shocked her more ca later.
“Open the door; I’m going in.”
“Who are you talking to?” The tattooed woman concentrated to listen but heard nothing, so frustratedly released her psychic tentacles, finding a person below and puzzled, “Is he with you?”
“Idiot, if he was with , he would have co up following my orders,” The hesitation from the other side allowed Tang Zheng to see through the identity, a reinforcent concerned about the tattooed woman, but Tang Zheng wouldn’t expose it; it served his purpose well.
“By the way, I still don’t know your na?
The Psychic type is the team’s trump card; the Group Leader must be good to you, right?” Tang Zheng suddenly turned around, signaling Qin Yan to wait, then walked up to the tattooed woman.
“It’s okay!” The tattooed woman twitched her mouth.
“An ungrateful one.” From her expression and response, Tang Zheng knew the tattooed woman was greedy; wearing the Tyrannosaurus Protective Clothing, he believed she couldn’t have obtained it without the Group Leader’s sponsorship, given how hard it was to earn points for the Psychic type in raids.
“In that case, how about you sell the Group Leader’s information?
He probably won’t be angry, huh?” Tang Zheng’s words made the tattooed woman jump.
“When did I ever sell you information?
Don’t talk nonsense,” the tattooed woman quickly corrected.
“Like leveling up and stuff, for which I’ve paid an SS level piece of equipnt,” Tang Zheng flashed an affable smile, showing his white teeth, “You aren’t planning on reneging, are you?”
“He won’t believe it, rember our wristwatches are banned,” the tattooed woman accidentally swallowed her saliva upon hearing about the SS level equipnt.
“Who says?” Tang Zheng placed his hand on the tattooed woman’s shoulder, a test to see if she was defensive.
The tattooed woman slightly moved her shoulder, allowing Tang Zheng’s hand to stay.
“Do you know what this is?” Tang Zheng pulled out an extravagantly ornate silver cross pendant with an engraved relief of the goddess of victory, inlaid with a blue jewel at the chest.
“The Chain of Sanctity, a special product from the European region?” The tattooed woman’s eyes lit up, reaching to snatch it.
Tang Zheng let go, allowing the pendant to hang at his chest.
“What do you an?” The tattooed woman, knowing she was too eager but not minding, instead looked at Tang Zheng flirtatiously, sticking out her tongue, and licked her red lips, “Na your price?”
In Trojan World, a top-tier piece of equipnt like this was hard to co by.
Even if you went to the European region, you might not have enough points to buy it, making it extrely valuable.
She would willingly beco Tang Zheng’s obedient female slave for a few days if it ant she could make an exchange.
