1342: Chapter 18: Death Approaches 1342: Chapter 18: Death Approaches Xu Liangmao was next to Sha Ou when he saw him fall, without a second thought, he instinctively supported his arm.
“Are you alright?” The honest man suspected Sha Ou was infected with the plague.
Though worried about contagion, he did not let go.
“Thank you!” Sha Ou was very moved and wanted to speak, but Li Huiwen interrupted him.
“Don’t touch him; you’ll die.” Li Huiwen, who had been following behind, energetically pushed through the crowd and ran over, grabbing Xu Liangmao’s arm, trying to pull him away from Sha Ou.
“What are you doing?” The miserable man beca angry and placed his hand on her shoulder.
Li Huiwen staggered backward, stabilized herself, and lunged forward again.
“You’re an idiot, having suffered for over thirty years without learning a thing,” Li Huiwen exclaid, biting her husband’s arm as she saw he wouldn’t listen.
“It’s my life, not your business!” Xu Liangmao, with significant strength this ti, pushed Li Huiwen to the ground.
“Old Xu, stop it.” Sha Ou tried to calm things down, but he wasn’t really focused on the situation; the thought of death made his heart flutter.
“Brother Xu, stop the violence!” Lin Fachan, who had been holding his girlfriend, quickly ran over to assist the shaky Sha Ou.
Lin Jing did not want her boyfriend to get further into danger but didn’t intervene, her worry apparent in her eyes.
“Brother Xu, Huiwen is still thinking of you during such tis, she must have realized her mistake,” Li Xinlan believed it’s better to wreck ten temples than destroy one marriage; she hoped they could live well, considering their children were waiting at ho.
“This woman might just be acting to gain Old Xu’s sympathy,” Pang iqin coldly speculated from the side, harboring a poor impression of Li Huiwen.
Xu Liangmao glanced at his wife and stayed silent, accustod to their years of marriage, he knew that Li Huiwen genuinely cared for him this ti, stirring a ripple in his heart; that’s just how he was, if soone showed him kindness, he would return it tenfold.
Ai Yixin watched Xu Liangmao and sighed, wondering why he had to be so miserable, “If you had just said sothing caring, the temperature between you two could have ward up a bit.
Instead, you chose to stay silent like a fool; love is not just ant to be kept inside but also to be expressed.”
“Run faster; the bugs are catching up quickly,” Ruan Feifei ignored these trivial matters, continuously watching the swarm of insects, their massive, dark wave resembled a tsunami, sending chills down her spine; she waved her arms, shooting out bolts of electricity, trying to block them.
The electric current struck the swarm, exploding into clusters of green bug shell slurry.
The princess in the private room had been next to Sha Ou but imdiately ran to Tang Zheng’s side when she saw him fall, keeping her distance, worried about infection.
“Bitch,” Sha Ou cursed venomously, his face contorted grimly, vowing inwardly that once he recovered, he would utterly tornt this woman.
“Please, don’t let get infected,” the female anchor prayed inwardly, looking at Xu Biyun being supported, and felt imnsely envious knowing her poor relations might an no one would care if she caught the plague.
Fortunately, no one had shown symptoms recently, but the prognosis was not optimistic.
“We’ve already lost over thirty people; we’re nearing the sixty percent mortality limit,” Qin Yan worried, noting that the Conquerors had better resistance and could hold on longer.
However, based on the ti of entering the villa, the newbies could last at most an hour, though this data was surely inflated.
“What should we do?
Ask the n in black for help?
They might arrest us first,” Dong Zixuan wanted to exert effort, being a civil servant, she naturally thought of relying on the governnt when in trouble.
“Let’s find a female doctor; she surely has a way,” Tang Zheng recalled the perverted woman he t at the Detention Center, who evidently had in-depth research on various alien species and might have a solution.
“She might no longer be at the Detention Center,” Qin Yan knew who Tang Zheng was referring to.
“It’s okay, I placed a tracker on her just for ergencies,” having soone familiar with the alien species was the perfect guide; if Tang Zheng wasn’t new to nefarious deeds, he might have kidnapped her when he had the chance.
A group of people entered the garage, Pang iqin unhesitatingly took the driver’s seat, pressing the ignition button, and the engine began to roar.
“Get in!” Tang Zheng stood by the car door, surveilling the surroundings, as the Group Leader, it was natural he be the last to board, but as the female anchor ran past him and tried to step into the carriage, her legs gave away, her body seeming to lose all strength, and she fell.
Tang Zheng, startled, caught the female anchor around the waist, and the newbies behind him uniformly stopped, not wanting to get close.
“Get in the car quickly; if you can’t be in the carriage within ten seconds, just wait for death!” Tang Zheng cursed, stepping into the carriage with Ruan Feifei in his arms.
“You guys are fools, there’s already a sick person in the carriage, and having run together this long, you’re already infected.
Now, all you can do is pray you don’t fall ill!” Lu Fan snorted disdainfully at the newbies.
Ruan Feifei looked at Tang Zheng holding her, his imdiate, unquestioning embrace made her feel warmth inside.
“Put her here!” Gu Xueqi wasn’t scared and promptly helped the female anchor, placing her in a forward position, “Newbies, go to the back, don’t crowd.”
“Hurry up, the bus is about to leave.” Pang iqin, disgusted by the newbies’ slow movents, deliberately started the bus and drove slowly, causing the newbies to panic, fearing they would be left behind, and they crowded at the bus door, pushing each other.
“What are you freaking out about?” Tang Zheng scolded the beautiful leg stewardess, ran back to the door, grabbed the private room princess by the front of her clothes, pulled her in, then tossed her towards the back of the bus.
The private room princess scread, and as Tang Zheng’s large hand grabbed her chest, in his haste, he didn’t hold back, pinching her breast, causing her almost to gasp from the pain.
His hand felt a clump of smooth skin, but Tang Zheng couldn’t care less about these sensations and reached out again, grabbing a companion girl and throwing her towards the back.
Ran i was too soft-hearted, otherwise her husband, Yu Liben, wouldn’t have had such a grip on her, even making her prostitute herself for money.
At this mont, she couldn’t get past others and fell behind; Li Huiwen, for so unknown reason, actually stayed with her.
“Get out of the way, all of you, get out of the way!” Yu Liben wasn’t in the mood to care about his wife, and swung his fist at the back of a newbie in front of him, desperately trying to clear a path.
Unfortunately, the newbies were already terrified, knowing being left behind ant certain death, so they crowded even more, their pain pushing them to press forward even harder.
Tang Zheng stood at the door, grabbed newbies one by one and threw them onto the bus; the newbies inevitably bumped and collided, but none dared to complain out loud.
“Move it, I’m sitting here!” Yu Liben ca up, shooing the newbies, wanting to sit next to the Conquerors, feeling it was safer.
If it wasn’t for the crowd still pushing from behind, added to the limit on death numbers, Tang Zheng would have definitely left this guy behind.
“You go first!” Li Huiwen, supporting Ran i’s back, pushed her up.
Because of Li Huiwen, Tang Zheng grabbed Ran i’s arm, didn’t throw her to the back, but let her walk on her own.
“You go sit over there!” Tang Zheng pointed to Old Xu, not waiting for him to close the door, Pang iqin had already driven off.
The newbies were incredibly envious of Li Huiwen’s luck, needless to say, her chances of survival had greatly increased.
“Sister Huiwen!” Ran i stood behind waiting for Li Huiwen, was shocked to hear they would be separated; she wanted to grab her, but with Tang Zheng in front, she took a step forward and then stopped.
“I’ll go with her, or I’ll go to the back of the bus.” Li Huiwen felt foolish, this was a good opportunity to build relations with the Conquerors, yet why was she giving it up?
If it had been before, she would have eagerly agreed.
Seeing Ran i’s tear-streaked face, she rembered the ti when she didn’t leave her rental room for three days, and this woman, foolishly, knocked on her door to check if she was okay, even leaving a bowl of braised pork outside her door.
“Go over there!” Tang Zheng didn’t want to waste ti on these trifles.
The newbies, their eyes red with jealousy, thought Ran i was really lucky.
Ran i, unaware of what Tang Zheng’s words ant, felt at ease being with Li Huiwen.
“Bitch, where are you going?” Yu Liben, failing to secure a seat — after all, those at the front were strong n, concerning life safety, no one would compromise — grabbed his wife by her hair and took out his anger on her.
Years of accumulated prestige made Ran i dare not talk back, trembling and clutching her chest like a quail.
“Get out of the way!” Tang Zheng grabbed Ran i and kicked Yu Liben hard on the knee, a sound of fracture followed, the impulsive Yu Liben scread, falling to the ground, “Everyone shut up.”
The newbies exclaid, then imdiately covered their mouths, fearing to annoy Tang Zheng.
The bus sped out of the garage, onto the street; a few paparazzi were squatting on the wall, sneakily snapping photos of the inside, seeing the bus, they imdiately ran over, trying to take a few clear shots, convinced there was a big news story.
Pang iqin swerved the steering wheel, hitting the gas hard, directly scraping one unlucky guy, the rear wheels following and running over his body.
Tang Zheng transmitted the route map displayed by the tracker to Pang iqin’s wristwatch, then without resting, rushed to Xu Biyun’s side to check on her.
Dong Zixuan and Tao Ran were taking care of the female anchor, Gu Xueqi was running around among the three, releasing Young Phoenix, helping them stabilize their conditions.
Plunk, a man suddenly weakened, fell off his seat, frightening the nearby newbies who scread, promptly standing up to move away.
“What do we do?
Throw him off the bus?” Lin Fachan considered for the Team, the guy would definitely release a swarm of bugs upon dying, then everyone would have to abandon the bus.
“Please don’t leave behind.” Hearing this, the man beca frightened, his face full of tears, pleading with the Conquerors, observing each of them expressionless, he placed his hopes on Li Huiwen.
“Huiwen, help , for the sake of our one-night stand, help !”
Li Huiwen’s face imdiately darkened, the other newbies’ eyes also fell on him, although no one spoke, their expressions of disdain and curiosity were more than evident.
