Chapter 80: Aya
"I won’t be able to join you." She suddenly said.
Damon’s brow furrowed.
The words didn’t make sense. She had always been there. Ever since he had summoned her, she had stood at his side through every battle, every close call, every impossible fight.
"What do you an?" he asked.
Her expression beca a bit distant now, as if her mind had travelled sowhere far, sowhere away from this world, before her gaze locked back onto him. "I can’t do anything that would affect the quest of another world... At least not before the final quest of my own is over."
A long mont of silence stretched between them.
"Another world?" Damon repeated slowly. "...Final quest?"
She rarely spoke about herself, usually giving him a half-hearted answer or avoiding the topic by so form of teasing, so hearing her ntion another world, most certainly the world she ca from, was surprising.
A simple smile crept its way across her face. It looked different from any other smile she had shown him. It looked genuine and almost vulnerable, stripped of the usual playful armour she wore so effortlessly.
"I avoided death by coming here, but the final quest will begin soon..." she said before trailing off.
Damon frowned. "Coming here?"
He was the one who summoned her, at least that’s what he believed this whole ti.
There was a hint of worry on her face, but after catching herself, she simply shook her head.
"It can wait. You need to focus on your quest." She stepped closer, her hand rising to rest against the side of his face. Her palm was warm against his skin. "After it’s over, after you’re done with the siege, I promise I’ll answer any questions you might have. I’ll be waiting."
Damon simply stood there for a mont, observing the new side of her he hadn’t seen before. But more than that, his mind was in disarray from everything she had said so far, most importantly her final quest... what happens when it begins?
Suddenly, seeing his distant expression, Kitsune took a sudden step forward. Perhaps it was her way of easing the anxious look on his face, or perhaps it was her way of dealing with her own worry, but before Damon could snap out of his thoughtful daze, she moved with a gentle grace and with a movent that was both seductive and tender, she put her plump lips onto his.
Damon snapped out of his daze almost imdiately, basking in the softness and sweetness of her lips. His eyes widened at first, but after no more than a second, he closed his eyes, his hands landing on her waist, settling on the curve of her hips.
But before either of them could deepen the kiss, she suddenly pulled away, leaving rely an inch of space between their lips as she spoke.
"Mmm... all this ti," she murmured, her voice light, almost teasing, "and you’ve never asked about my na."
Damon blinked, still caught between confusion and the heat lingering on his lips.
He had always called her by the title the system gave her. But now that he thought about it...
Of course, she had a na. Even toys on Earth had nas, why would an actual living being from another world not have one?
"My na is Aya."
"Aya," he repeated softly.
A shiver ran through her entire body at hearing him speak her na for the first ti. Her lips curved into a smile before she kissed him again.
This ti, there was nothing tentative about it.
Damon’s heart hamred against his ribs as his grip on her small waist tightened. He pulled her even closer, which, judging by the soft moans escaping her lips between the kisses, she enjoyed very much.
"Mmm..."
This ti, it wasn’t a simple peck on the lips, it was a passionate mont between a man and a woman.
Her arms locked tightly around his neck as if she never wanted to let go, just as Damon’s hands moved lower down, feeling every part of her body, below the short nightgown she was wearing and toward the back of her upper thigh, before he suddenly lifted her in the air.
"Oh?" Aya purred in pleasant surprise, her long legs wrapping around his torso almost instantly, ankles crossing at his back.
Damon took a swift glance at the cloak mounted on the nearby wall before turning his eyes back toward Aya, who realised very quickly where he was looking.
"Over an hour and a half left..." he said.
"Mhmm." Her smile was pure mischief now, all traces of earlier lancholy gone. Her fingers traced along the back of his neck. "More than enough ti."
*Mwah* Mwaah*
Loud sounds of passionate kissing filled the entire room as Damon began to take slow steps toward the bed. The walk, however, turned longer than it should’ve been, as at every step, twenty or more kisses followed.
Their lips now t with a burning desire for one another. With each kiss, Aya’s tongue greedily found its way into his mouth, and Damon was more than happy to return the favour.
They took their ti with each mont. The walk of five steps toward the bed took them almost three minutes, before Damon’s leg hit the fra of the bed, his mind focused purely on Aya.
Their lips barely disconnected as Damon lowered the two of them softly onto the bed. The mont her back t the soft cushion of the mattress, Aya reached up and pulled his shirt over his head, her gaze tracing over him for just a breath before her hands found his face and drew him back down to her.
Damon’s hands no longer stayed at her slender waist, and instead, he began to slowly explore the rest of her body, enjoying the smoothness of her soft, porcelain-like skin. At the sa ti, Aya’s hands didn’t return to his neck. She instead began to fiddle around with his belt until—
