Chapter 619: Section 406: Cold Wind Valley Ambush Battle

With the great enemy in front of her, Zi Di had no ti to be angry and imdiately pulled out her magic wand to join the battle.

She was now disguised as Yao Ma, appearing to be a Silver Level Mage of the Fire Elent.

The wand was also Silver Level.

The Dragon Lion rcenary Corps, with their status in Snowbird Port and their own financial resources, had no problem purchasing Silver Level equipnt. Even Gold Level equipnt, they had acquired quite a few through the channel of the City Lord of Snowbird Port.

The wand was nad the Soaring Fire Staff, equipped with Fireball Technique, Fire Wall, and Resistance Fire Ring as its three spells. Fireball Technique was an offensive spell, and Fire Wall, if used well, could serve both offensive and defensive purposes. Resistance Fire Ring was defensive in nature, and with it, the Soaring Fire Staff was truly a fine piece of Silver Level magic wand!

With the help of the wand, Zi Di did not need to chant at all. She just needed spirit manipulation and mana infusion to fire a fireball.

The Silver Level fireball was aid directly at the top of the slope and shot forth.

That was exactly where the Hidden Breaker Reconnaissance Puppet had spotted the enemy’s location.

A Golden Fighter had already pounced down, but the Silver Mage was still at the top of the slope.

The Silver Mage was surprised to see the fireball coming, not expecting to be exposed so quickly. He hadn’t seen Yao Ma using any reconnaissance magic.

The Silver Mage imdiately revealed his bracelet.

The bracelet was a Silver Level magic tool that almost instantly cast a Light Shield.

The Light Shield, perfectly square, about 1.8 ters in size, imdiately flew out and collided with the fireball.

Boom!

With a sudden explosion, the fireball collided with the Light Shield in midair, bursting into fierce heat and shock waves.

The Silver Mage successfully defended, and the Fireball Technique did not succeed.

Zi Di took out a scroll from her bosom and continued to release the Fireball Technique.

The Silver Level scroll was not purchased, but was sourced from the arsenal of the War rchant.

Indeed, much of this batch of ammunition had already been used up. After the Dragon Lion rcenary Group left Mysterious Monster Island, they had experienced nurous battles along the way. There had once been 12 boxes of explosive dumbbells; ten were used up in the battle at Rou Cang. The remnants of the Saber Gang fled from the docks of Snowbird Port; to deal with the Swamp Oil Elent, all the arrows and bullets of the Water and Ice Elents in the arsenal had been used up.

There were originally 138 Healing Scrolls, more than half of which had been used, but after trading at Snowbird Port, the number had rebounded to 97.

Fireball Technique scrolls were the most nurous, originally 250. They had been used up in various battles, but since this type had the largest base number, there were still over a hundred left.

Using a scroll was of course much faster than chanting a spell. Zi Di knew their side was at a disadvantage and had to rely on equipnt to make up for it.

Zi Di, being a Mage of a lower level than Silver, tore open three Fireball Technique scrolls consecutively and aid them at the top of the slope.

This ti, the Silver Mage did not want to stay in place and take the hit.

A mysterious light shot out from the gem ring on her pinky finger.

The light paused behind her, rapidly expanding into an elliptical light ring.

The Silver Mage stepped back, her body moved into the elliptical light sphere, and then she disappeared.

The next mont, a similar white light circle appeared at the top of the opposite slope. The Silver Mage stepped back and erged from it.

Boom, boom, boom.

Three consecutive explosions, and the slope top where she had been previously was leveled by the blasts.

The Silver Mage also pulled out a scroll from her bosom.

She tore open the scroll, releasing a Dazzling Light Technique.

The spell did not counterattack Zi Di but aid at Zong Ge.

“No!” Zi Di wanted to intercept, but was powerless to do so; she could only watch helplessly as Zong Ge was struck.

Zong Ge was already engaged with a Golden Fighter and was at a disadvantage.

After another Dazzling Light Technique, his vision instantly filled with a vast white light, rendering him unable to discern the enemy.

“Die!” the Golden Fighter roared, seizing the opportunity to launch a fierce attack.

The mysterious foe was tall and agile, wearing an iron mask and wielding a long-handled warhamr with a barrel-shaped head, radiating intense hatred.

At the critical mont, Zong Ge simply closed his eyes and raised the Golden Flower Steel Saw in his hand!

Clang.

The warhamr aid at Zong Ge’s head, but Zong Ge, slightly crouching to the side, tily raised the steel saw which blocked the strike.

The mysterious enemy’s long-handled warhamr was only of Silver Level, but the Golden Flower Steel Saw held by Zong Ge was of Gold Level.

This weapon had originally belonged to Xiong Ju, the leader of Saber Gang, but after Saber Gang was annihilated in one day by the City Lord of Snowbird Port, Xiong Ju and his n had been captured, and their weapons and equipnt had fallen into the hands of the City Lord of Snowbird Port.

The City Lord of Snowbird Port had long established multiple trades with the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps.

And these equipnts were traded to the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps through transactions.

Not just the Golden Flower Steel Saw, other equipnt such as the Little Thunder God Flying Hamr, Qi Syringe, Boots of Pursuit, and Teng Donglang’s Gold-Level long whip had also been traded to the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps.

The only regret was the defense badge—the Roaming Full Body Armor.

This was a Gold-Level armor, ingeniously designed!

With the Ice Sculpture Kingdom enforcing the Prohibition Armor Order, in the absence of formal gold-level armor, such defensive trinkets were very rare.

Thus, the City Lord of Snowbird Port kept it for himself, refusing to sell it despite the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps raising their offer several tis.

Seeing Zong Ge lose his vision, Zi Di grew even more anxious.

In her view, Zong Ge was already in danger, and now, having lost his vision, the situation had turned very bad!

But Zi Di had no dispelling spells and chose to continue attacking. She imdiately used her magic wand to cast the Fire Wall.

The Fire Wall quickly spread to the top of the slope, forcing the Silver Mage to fly into the air.

Zi Di then tore open a scroll and cast the Fireball Technique.

The Silver Mage couldn’t use her ring to create a beam circle for teleportation in a short ti. Such magical items usually had limitations and required so ti before they could be used again.

The Silver Mage still had other cards to play.

She showed off the necklace hanging around her neck, with a rectangular dog tag pendant.

The dog tag sparkled brilliantly, dispersing light into the air, and released the sealed Magic Pet.

The Silver Mage clearly specialized in the Light Elent, and her Magic Pet was a Silver-Level Light Elent.

The Light Elent had two claws, a head like a bear, and the lower body gradually tapering, like a cone. Flying was its instinct, and the mont it was released, it received its master’s order and imdiately rushed towards Zi Di.

Zi Di took a deep breath, refusing to be distracted by the enemy’s Magic Pet.

“I have a Magic Pet too!” she exclaid softly, releasing Lan Lu’s ghost.

This Two-headed Ogre’s ghost was obtained during her ti on Snake Rat Island. It was severely damaged once on Twin Eyes Island and could hardly be used.

However, with Cang Xu’s efforts, Zi Di acquired a batch of Soul Crystals and many excellent Undead Magic spells, enabling her to heal ghost Lan Lu.

Now, ghost Lan Lu not only returned to its peak but was also enhanced with Deception and Disguise Skills and Anti-Intelligence Prophecy Skills, which concealed its Undead nature.

To outsiders, ghost Lan Lu appeared like a fierce combat-type Alchemy Puppet.

As a ghost, Lan Lu, of course, could float.

The Magic Pet Light Elent was also of Silver Level, equivalent to Lan Lu’s level.

The two Magic Pets roared at each other and clashed together, struggling fiercely without any clear advantage for so ti.

The ambushers had only two people, but the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps had more than Zong Ge and Zi Di.

“Face the enemy!” Xu Ma roared and was the first to pull out an alchemy firearm, shooting a flare into the sky.

This was clearly a signal for reinforcents.

The Silver Mage, of course, wanted to block it and imdiately launched a Light Spear, accurately shattering the flare before it could fully ascend.

But in the next mont, the other rcenaries, following Xu Ma’s lead, pulled out their alchemy firearms and fired their flares.

The Silver Mage was left speechless, never having imagined that almost everyone was equipped with a signal gun.

She intended to continue intercepting them, but Zi Di wouldn’t let her succeed, forcing her to move constantly with a continuous series of Fireball Techniques.

Xu Ma then commanded the rcenaries to concentrate their fire.

They were equipped with alchemy crossbows and firearms, all sourced from the War rchant’s armory, now also using alchemy arrows and bullets.

For a while, bullets and arrows intertwined into a brilliant yet dangerous web of fire, forcing the Silver Mage to constantly move around, maintain her defensive magic, and struggled to support her teammates or target Zong Ge.

“Zong Ge, hold on!” Zi Di shouted. She was relying on her equipped magic tools and other rcenaries to effectively suppress the Silver Mage.

But she still couldn’t support Zong Ge and could only express her concern.

Zong Ge, however, was very steady.

No matter how fiercely the Golden Fighter attacked, he used the Golden Flower Steel Saw to block every strike.

Zong Ge was extrely experienced in combat, and even though he temporarily lost his vision, he could still discern the enemy’s position by listening to the wind.

If the enemy had been an assassin type, he might have been in danger. However, the formidable Golden Level enemy before him was more of an open and straightforward style, aggressive and overpowering, similar to Xiong Ju’s charge into battle.

Besides precisely identifying attacks, Zong Ge also had another advantage: the Golden Flower Steel Saw.

The saw had a very broad blade, and Zong Ge, being a master of weapons, often used it as a shield after recognizing an attack, firmly protecting himself.

The Golden Fighter, failing to break through after a long ti, felt dissatisfied with his Silver Level warhamr and used his combat skills.

Zong Ge imdiately felt a surge in the enemy’s aura, knowing that he had used a combat skill, and promptly deployed Defensive Fighting Skills to counter.

Clang, clang, clang!

The Golden Level enemy swung his long-handled warhamr like torrential rain, but Zong Ge firmly blocked to the left and right. Although he kept retreating step by step, his defensive line remained solid.

“Only a silver…” The Golden Level enemy’s eyes were bloodshot, a mix of shock and rage.

Had it not been for the shine of Silver Fighting Spirit, he would have doubted he was dueling a foe of the sa level.

Depending on defense, Zong Ge survived the most dangerous period. As ti passed, the effect of the Dazzling Light Technique gradually diminished, allowing him to see again, albeit weakly.

He opened his eyes and pulled a Flying Hamr from his waist, throwing it out.

It was the Little Thunder God Flying Hamr!

Originally crafted by the dwarf leader of the Saber Gang, it was a replica of the legendary weapon, the Grand Thunder God Hamr.

The Flying Hamr’s body and handle emanated a Silver Level aura, but the gem embedded at the very front of the hamrhead emitted a Golden Level aura, flashing with strands of electric light.

It could be considered a Quasi-Gold Level heavy dart.

It was controlled by Spirit Manipulation, very convenient, and easy to learn.

After initially obtaining it, Xiong Ju trained for only one night and could use it in a heroic duel the next day, once causing considerable trouble to the Dragon-man youth.

The Little Thunder God Flying Hamr spun and charged towards the Golden Fighter.

The Golden Fighter raised his long-handled warhamr, knocking it away with the hamrhead. However, it spun around in mid-air and charged again.

During this process, Zong Ge switched from defense to offense, swinging the Golden Flower Steel Saw and raising dangerous shadows of the blade.

The Golden Fighter, while clashing with Zong Ge, had to also watch out for the Little Thunder God Flying Hamr, gradually losing control and revealing more and more flaws.

“This annoying thing!!” the Golden Level Fighter exclaid in irritation, suddenly using a Combat Skill to fiercely smash at the Little Thunder God Flying Hamr.

It shot up under Zong Ge’s spiritual manipulation, soaring into mid-air.

The Golden Level Fighter wanted to pursue it, but Zong Ge had already closed in on him.

Zong Ge stimulated his Fighting Energy, channeling it into the Golden Flower Steel Saw.

The teeth of the steel saw spun rapidly, while the gem embedded in the saw’s handle emitted an earthy yellow glow.

The Golden Fighter suddenly felt a heavy burden on his body, his movents slowed down.

Combat Skill—Spinning Sideways Slash!

Zong Ge held the handle of the steel saw with both hands, slightly bent, rotating on his heels with arms extended, driving the Golden Flower Steel Saw to spin forcefully in a circle.

The speed and force of the steel saw instantly increased.

The surface of the steel saw shone with silver brilliance, fiercely slashing toward the waist of the Golden Fighter.

The Golden Level Fighter could not retreat composedly; in a rush, he could only desperately use his Fighting Energy to deploy a Defensive Combat Skill, reinforcing his long-handled warhamr with both hands.

He used the middle of the warhamr’s handle to block the slash.

If Zong Ge had been holding a great sword, this attack would have been over. But in his hands was a Golden Flower Steel Saw.

The next mont, the saw teeth ferociously cut into the handle of the warhamr, scattering a huge burst of sparks.

These sparks condensed in mid-air, forming clusters resembling golden flowers.

The sharp edges of the golden flowers swirled and flew, targeting vulnerable points like the Golden Level Fighter’s eyes and nose.

The Golden Fighter naturally had Defensive Combat Skills to protect himself, but the relentless golden flowers swiftly dissolved his defensive power.

Bang, bang, bang.

The Little Thunder God Flying Hamr attacked again, hamring his back, waist, and the back of his head, hitting him with more heavy blows.

The Golden Fighter roared, unleashed a powerful Combat Skill, creating a wave of air that stirred up a vast cloud of dust, nearly blowing Zong Ge away.

Zong Ge adjusted his footing and charged again.

The dust swirled, obscuring the figures of him and the Golden Fighter as they briefly appeared and then suddenly vanished.

Outsiders only heard the sounds of collisions and explosions.

The dust was soon dispersed by the aftermath of their Combat Skills, and to everyone’s surprise, Zong Ge was gaining the upper hand!

The Golden Flower Steel Saw and Little Thunder God Flying Hamr, in Zong Ge’s hands, were brilliantly manipulated.

The two weapons worked together seamlessly, leaving the Golden Fighter exhausted from defending against the occasional brilliant and precise coordinated attacks.

Zi Di breathed a huge sigh of relief.

The key to this battle was Zong Ge. She could only play a supporting role.

The other rcenaries cheered thunderously, greatly boosting morale, and intensifying the barrage of arrows and bullets.

“Long Fu, you wait for !” the Golden Fighter shouted a harsh threat before retreating on his own.

The Silver Mage covered the rear, tearing open a Space Scroll, instantly releasing a large number of Alchemy Puppets.

There were over a hundred puppets, attacking the main force of the Dragon Lion rcenary Corps.

Zong Ge chose not to chase after the Golden Level Fighter but joined Zi Di to deal with the puppets and protect his subordinates.

The Golden Fighter, lacking Flying Combat Skills, was rapidly flown out of Cold Wind Valley by the Silver Mage and quickly disappeared from sight.
