Chapter 607: Section 394: Ramming Turtle

White Hair Sea Trench.

“I am in position,” the Little Prince conveyed his ssage through a spell.

“Then take action,” the ship ghost ordered and took the lead.

A strong wave surged forward, enveloping a group of turtles.

Affected by the Undead Magic, so of the smaller turtles died on the spot, while the Silver Level ones only staggered, and the Golden Level leader, in a rage, charged at the Ghost Ship.

The Ghost Ship, under the control of the ship ghost, slowly retreated, attacking while drawing the turtles in.

The leader pursued doggedly without regard for what was behind it. The turtles were stretched out in a line, their ranks in disarray.

When the turtle herd was lured into the narrow terrain, and the turtle leader had passed, troops ambushed them from both sides.

Nurous Sharp Clawed Water Monkeys’ skeletons pounced on the turtle group, with many skull archers shooting from higher ground.

The skeletons made from the Sharp Clawed Water Monkeys’ corpses rarely included Skull Mages; most were lee combatants without weapons, their claws being the most convenient sharp tools. A few were skull archers.

The skeletons of the Sharp Clawed Water Monkeys sward over the turtles like a mass of ants, yet their claws, which could easily pierce through rocks, were hardly effective against the turtles’ shells.

These turtles were incredibly aggressive; their shells were covered with hard, black spikes, and they had triangular vertical horns on the fronts of their heads.

These were ramming turtles.

In earlier days, before demon energy ships existed, people hunted ramming turtles for the horns on their heads to use as ship rams.

In the era of demon energy ships, these horns were also used as the main material to create ram-type Alchemy Components.

The shell of the ramming turtle still served as material to craft shields, which, with minor adjustnts, could beco giant shields covered in spikes.

During the great war when Demons invaded the Main World, the Minotaur Legend Great Yili single-handedly poisoned the largest ramming turtle herd in the deep sea at the ti.

The acquired shells were imdiately sent to the desperately embattled Fan City.

The giants in Fan City used the shells directly as shields and ultimately held off the furious attack of the Demon Army to protect the city, laying the foundation for the Main World’s grand counteroffensive.

The turtles were in a frenzy.

They kept shaking their bodies, unable to shake off the Water Monkey skeletons riding them.

They then forcefully swung their fin-like limbs, stretched out their heads, and fiercely slamd into the mountain walls on both sides.

Sea floor rocks were smashed into deep pits; the intense pressure and friction between the turtles’ shells and the rocks crushed many of the Sharp Clawed Water Monkey skeletons into debris.

Bone Arrows shot by the skull archers hit the turtles, itching like mosquito bites and hardly causing any harm.

But the Little Prince remained calm, having anticipated this situation.

In this battle, his main role was to distract and cover. The sacrificed Water Monkey skeletons were either defective products soon to be culled or common ones he would not be distressed to lose. The real elite, those of the Black Iron and Silver Levels, he had not sent into battle.

Undead Magic—Soul Capturing Technique!

The ship ghost cast the spell with all his might, and its power was amplified several tis by the Ghost Ship.

Once hit by this spell, the Golden Level ramming turtle leader was imdiately immobilized, as if turned into a statue.

The Ghost Ship did not advance but retreated, sailing up to the ramming turtle leader who still stood motionless.

As they brushed past each other, a turtle-shaped spirit was captured by the Ghost Ship, becoming one of the many ghosts aboard.

Subsequently, an invisible force took hold of the ramming turtle leader’s corpse.

The Golden Level turtle corpse was cast into the breach in the Ghost Ship’s hull and disappeared into the darkness.

The Ghost Ship turned and cut its way back through the battlefield; a host of screeching ghosts rapidly weaved through the lee.

The ramming turtles had formidable physical defenses, their unique shape naturally causing rebounding damage. However, they were quite vulnerable to magic.

The ghosts could freely pass through solid objects like rocks, nullifying the pride of the ramming turtles—their spiky armor.

Only when they unleashed magic-like abilities could they contend with the ghosts to so extent.

Nevertheless, there were many ghosts, already shaping like a fledgling army.

The ship ghost didn’t even need to cast another spell; the onslaught of the ghosts alone threw the turtle herd into disarray.

The turtle group soon fell apart, turning tail to flee.

But this battlefield was carefully chosen by the Undead Mages, with its narrow terrain flanked by nurous Water Monkey skeletons in defense.

In the process of fleeing, the turtles perished one after another.

A deathly hush fell over the sea canyon.

The Undead Mages began to clear the battlefield.

“We’ve really hit it big this ti!” The Little Prince was overjoyed.

He had made many sacrifices, losing a large number of skeletons, so the spoils of war were substantial.

Undead Magic—Summon Skeleton.

Undead Magic—Summon Skeleton.

Undead Magic—Summon Skeleton…

The Little Prince kept casting the spell, and one after another, the enormous turtle skeletons erged from the corpses.

White shells bristling with sharpened bone spikes, the turtle heads’ ramming horns remained intact, striking to behold.

“With this, I now have a Heavy Cavalry. Absolutely fantastic! Great General, you live up to your na,” the Little Prince exclaid to his steed.

His steed was a three-headed sea snake, also an Undead Life, whom the Little Prince had nad Great General.

The ship ghost also revealed his true form.

He began to perform the Soul Summoning Technique.

The turtles had just fallen, leaving their spirits nearly all lingering on the battlefield.

Soon, ghostly forms of turtles appeared all over the battlefield.

“These turtle spirits are pri materials for making shield-bearing ghosts,” the Little Prince said with a beaming smile.

The Undead Faction excels at transforming spirits, and creating shield-bearing ghosts is one of the thods. The resulting spirits could offer powerful defenses for the Undead Mages.

The ship ghost allocated so of the turtle spirits to Cang Xu and the Undead Samurai Ku Feng.

In this battle, Cang Xu’s Death Skulls served only the purpose of scouting. The Undead Samurai, Ku Feng, remained steadfast on the deck of the Ghost Ship without taking action, contributing the least.

Within just a few days, the combat power of the Undead Mages had inflated several tis over.

They had eradicated more than a dozen packs of sea beasts, including Sharp Clawed Water Monkeys, ramming turtles, and schools of sea fish.

As their combat strength improved, the actions of the Undead Mages beca more unrestrained, and their cooperation with each other heightened.

Take this ti, for instance, the Undead Mages were no longer confined to the Ghost Ship but instead they split their forces in advance, choosing the battlefield and making preparations.

They used tactics to lure the turtle pack to an ambush point before striking with full force.

Clearly, the right tactics could greatly improve their efficiency in encircling and suppressing the turtle pack.

Cang Xu collected the newly acquired ghosts but did not process them first.

He returned to his own cabin and continuously cast spells.

Undead Magic—Reduction Technique.

Undead Magic—Reduction Technique.

The forr reduced Cang Xu’s spiritual burden, while the latter could weaken the erosion of his secondary abilities.

Currently, the scale of Death Skulls he controlled was not small.

There were four at the Silver Level, twenty-seven at the Black Iron Level, and as many as eighty-six at the Bronze Level.

Managing these Death Skulls was already causing Cang Xu a trendous spiritual burden.

“My aptitude is limited; even after transforming into Undead Life, I can only reach Black Iron Level.”

“It’s because the inheritance of the Flying Head Skill bears a smaller burden than the usual ghosts, skulls, and zombies, that I can control so many.”

Cang Xu appeared to be at the Silver Level, but in reality, he was rely Black Iron.

Even if he used Reduction Technique and Reduction Technique every day, he was still quickly reaching his controlling limit.

After stopping these two spells, Cang Xu began to process the newly acquired ghosts.

“I only gained these in this battle.”

“Too few.”

“If it continues like this, it will not be to my advantage.”

With Cang Xu’s low contribution, he naturally obtained fewer spoils of war.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to exert effort, but rather his own strength was insufficient, placing him in a lower position within the tactical system.

In every battle, the ship ghosts garnered the most spoils. The scale of ghosts on the Ghost Ship had nearly increased tenfold!

The Little Prince’s gains often ranked second; his regint of skeletons had taken shape.

Cang Xu was third, with an increasing number of Death Skulls. However, he was reaching his personal limit due to his aptitude.

Among the Undead Mages, Ku Feng fared the worst. Like this ti, his involvent was hardly needed.

As for Qing Xin, she wasn’t worth ntioning.

In the deep sea, she had to constantly maintain her spells to ensure her own breathing.

She barely set foot outside.

Every day, she spent a great deal of ti in ditation, replenishing her Mana.

But in the depths of the ocean, where Water Elents were abundant and Wind Elents scarce, her efficiency in ditation was very low.

She had been completely marginalized.

Divine Wind.

The Human Race leader furrowed his brows.

After a round of interrogations, he found that no one recognized Lan Zao.

“How is this possible?”

“Could it be that he isn’t from the Saber Gang?”

The Human Race leader fell into contemplation: “Those on the ship are just the left-overs of the gang, perhaps none of them had interaction with him.”

“But the likelihood of that is too low.”

“Could he be a spy who deliberately rescued the Ice Eagle to gain trust?”

“Everything was going smoothly before, but the Bloodline Awakening was unexpected, causing him to fall unconscious.”

Thinking this, the Human Race leader shook his head.

“If I were to plant a spy, it wouldn’t be this crude and simple.”

“At the very least, I would arrange a suitable identity. The Rocket Assault Boat’s transportation ability was a sudden display. At the ti, that he could save the Ice Eagle was also unexpected.”

“Anyway, let’s report this information to the old Gang Leader first.”

The Human Race leader walked to the door of the Ice Eagle’s cabin, ready to knock.

Boom!

Suddenly, a loud explosion sounded, causing the entire ship to violently shake.

Boom! Boom! Boom…

Following that, a series of explosions occurred inside Divine Wind, imdiately causing significant casualties.

“What’s happened?!” the Human Race leader exclaid in astonishnt.

With a bang, the cabin door was pushed open, nearly hitting the Human Race leader.

Ice Eagle had just rushed out, and both he and the Human Race leader heard the First Officer of Divine Wind shouting, “Enemy attack!!”

“Another enemy?”

“Where?!”

Feng Lian, ard with a long-handled scythe, was ready for battle, but found no sign of the enemy.

“In the sea!” the lookout atop the mast shouted a warning.
