"Another core?" Xiang Yu spoke up in surprise as his body continued drawing in even more qi from the surroundings, wanting to fill this second core that had just ford.
His expression brightened as understanding dawned on him.
"That’s right, a beast core," he thought to himself.
Since he was technically a beast, it made sense that he would develop a beast core.
Still, sothing felt strange about having two cores at the sa ti. One would expect that if he really was a beast, his original core would have ford as a beast core from the beginning, not grow a new one alongside it. He wondered if others who carried the bloodlines of "beasts" also had dual cores like this.
Using his other soul partition, he reached out to ask the Empress about this.
The Empress told him that while rare, it did happen sotis so he shouldn’t worry about it too much. She explained that humans, even those with "beast" bloodlines, generally cultivated through their dantian, so they eventually ford their cores through that pathway.
But others cultivated through their skin instead, like true "beasts" did, and thus ended up with beast cores instead. For those cultivators who practiced equally with both the skin and dantian thods, they could form dual cores, though it was quite uncommon since most people favored either one thod or the other.
Xiang Yu nodded thoughtfully. It made sense that he would develop both types considering how he absorbed qi through his skin just as much as he did through his spiritual root.
As he thought about this, he felt his Chaos Body finally complete its breakthrough process.
After the breakthrough, he instantly gained the immunity he’d been most excited about, lightning elent resistance. Why he was so hyped for this one in particular? Well, no reason.
Now only two elents remained, light and dark.
The other benefits he gained from the breakthrough were the usual.
His raw physical strength received another MASSIVE increase. Then ca another huge boost to both his energy regeneration rate and his energy utilization efficiency.
With all three transformations now complete, he summoned his system interface to examine the imdiate benefits before looking at the rest of the reset stats.
[Realm: Body: 27th Layer (5000/27,000); Spirit: Core Formation 1st Layer (10,000/110,000);]
[Spiritual Root: Sacred-Grade Omni-Elent (3000/5000)]
Xiang Yu’s eyes imdiately locked onto the spiritual root stat, this was the main reason he’d checked his status in the first place. His breath caught as he saw the numbers. It had actually increased by a full thousand points and was now past the halfway mark toward the next grade. This ant he no longer needed to wait through two resets to enter the divine grade.
Now he only needed one more reset. He couldn’t wait for the next reset to arrive.
Turning his attention to the other stats, he briefly glanced at his qi cultivation but didn’t spend much ti on it. Instead, he focused on his body refining realm. He had barely entered the twenty-fifth layer the day before and now he was already in the twenty-seventh layer.
His body refining speed was just too OP.
He needed to enter the battle simulation later to properly gauge his new combat strength as well as get revenge for last ti. This was especially important now that he had broken through to the Core Formation realm.
Raising his hand, he summoned qi to his palm and watched it swirl.
It looked much denser than before.
"Hmm, this should be about the level of a Nascent Soul cultivator now," he thought.
anwhile, deep within his spiritual sea, his soul was hard at work. The soul was experinting, trying to determine if he could now transform his qi into true qi now that his qi quality now matched that of a Nascent Soul cultivator and his soul matched that of an adult human.
As his soul worked on this, he decided it was finally ti to examine the rest of the reset screen.
...
Xiang Yu’s mouth fell wide open as his eyes locked onto the experience number for his enlightennt stat, even blinking several tis to make sure he wasn’t seeing things. It was actually past the halfway point now and would breakthrough to the heavenly grade after the next reset.
The next reset was really going to be a big day for him, he thought to himself, barely able to contain his excitent. His enlightennt would advance to the Heavenly grade, and his root would enter the Divine grade, who else was as talented as him?
He then rembered Li Yao’s plan to upgrade her immortal root to celestial grade and he was depressed once again.
He shook his head, his system was really overpowered, he just needed one month without all the constant trouble and chaos and he would definitely ascend to immortality.
With the enlightennt boost he received from both his researcher profession and his phoenix bloodline, Xiang Yu already felt that his comprehension abilities were already quite impressive.
But he couldn’t help wondering what it would actually feel like when he finally hit the Heavenly stage. Would he understand the true secret of the world? Would cultivation techniques beco as simple as breathing? He couldn’t wait to find out.
Moving his attention back to the status screen, he noticed that his palm intent was also finally past the halfway point and would level up to the second level soon.
The intent realm was actually an incredibly powerful ability that allowed him to instinctively use weapon techniques at levels that even surpassed the perfect mastery stage even while the techniques themselves were still in their beginner stages. It was like the weapons beca an extension of his will.
Of course, the intent worked even better when the actual technique had been perfected as it integrated more seamlessly.
Speaking of, his other weapon techniques had now all hit the perfect level and Xiang Yu had received all their corresponding intents. With these twenty different weapon intents, he could more easily practice and master other weapon related techniques.
Speaking of techniques, he’d been thinking about creating so divine-level techniques for combat but the process was actually quite challenging.
The level of understanding and creativity required was imnse.
Still, he would continue trying anyway, he even had a solid starting point which was his now completed weapon techniques. If he could fuse them together using the system’s fusion function, he was confident he could develop so truly incredible divine ability.
For his existing divine abilities, the yin-yang harmony divine ability was well past the halfway point and would level up during the next reset. He was curious to see what new abilities that advancent would bring.
The cloning divine ability however, had already leveled up during this reset.
As expected, the benefits he received from the cloning ability’s advancent weren’t really as he would have liked. They were mostly just a few minor optimizations here and there, plus a modest increase in qi capacity for the individual clones. The improvents were useful but not groundbreaking.
Well, not that it mattered much as he already had a crazy idea in his mind for the elental clone divine ability that would give him exactly the kinds of benefits he actually wanted.
Now, turning his attention to the real highlight of any reset, his professions...
