Lunaris and Mira stood in a clearing.

He raised his hand. A holographic mana projection of a map flickered into existence before him.

He studied it carefully.

They had been traveling at maximum speed for over a day now. According to his calculations, they should be close to the Astoria Holy Kingdom.

He had stopped moving in his wolf form even though they were still not there yet. Just in case they encountered patrols.

That being said, even with just their physical stats, they should be able to reach the kingdom in about an hour or so.

"Mira."

"Yes, my Lord."

"We’ll be entering enemy territory soon. I’m going to give you so ans to protect yourself."

Mira shook her head.

"There is no need. The Lord has already done enough. With your blessing, I am already stronger than most people."

"It’s not all about strength."

He extended his hand toward her.

A silver glow spread from his palm and flowed into her body.

Concealnt.

Mana Thread.

"Concealnt should help you avoid trouble in case we encounter problems," he explained. "Rember - we’re outmatched and in enemy territory. If there’s trouble, we shouldn’t draw attention. We should disappear quietly."

He paused.

"Otherwise, we won’t be able to face everyone by ourselves."

He continued.

"As for Mana Thread... it could be useful. Though I hope that situation doesn’t co."

Mira bowed her head.

"Thank you, my Lord."

"Well then."

He turned toward the direction of the kingdom.

"Let’s go."

...

Two hours later.

The two walked toward a massive gate.

We’re finally here.

Lunaris looked at the towering walls before them. Guards in gleaming armor stood at attention. People moved in and out through the entrance.

He glanced at Mira, then at himself.

We won’t be detected, right?

What if the kingdom had so thod for detecting monsters?

He was getting nervous now.

"My Lord?" Mira spoke up, noticing his expression.

"Ahem."

He recomposed himself.

"It’s nothing."

He straightened his posture.

"Do you rember our cover story?"

"Of course, my Lord."

They approached the gate.

A guard in full armor stepped before them, blocking their path.

He gave them an intimidating look. His eyes swept over them from head to toe.

"What brings you to the Holy Astoria Kingdom?"

Lunaris smiled politely.

"I’m a rchant. I’m here for trade."

The guard looked at them.

"Trade?"

His gaze sharpened.

"With no carriage?"

Lunaris scratched his head sheepishly.

"Actually, it’s sowhat of a funny story. On our way here, we encountered a pack of wolves. Our horses panicked and ran away with the carriage."

From what he’d heard about the human world from Seria, it seed like a dieval world setting so this shouldn’t be uncommon right?

He sighed.

"Luckily, the wolves seed to have chased after them instead of us. We managed to escape with our lives."

The guard stared at them.

His gaze was unyielding.

Will he buy it?

The guard continued staring them down.

Silence stretched between them.

Then...

"That’s quite unfortunate," the guard said, his tone softening. "Losing your goods like that... you have my sympathies."

Lunaris blinked.

"Do you have any docunts?" the guard asked.

Lunaris’s expression turned apologetic.

"Unfortunately, the carriage also had all our docunts."

He turned to Mira.

"My bodyguard here only managed to save ."

The guard looked at Mira. Then back at Lunaris.

"I see."

He nodded slowly.

"Usually, besides the papers, there’s also an entrance fee. But since you’ve lost your items, I’ll let you off this once."

He gestured toward the city.

"Go to the rchant’s Guild to get your docunts renewed. Your bodyguard should also visit the Adventurer’s Guild to get her docunts sorted out as well."

He stepped aside.

"You’re free to go."

"Thank you."

The two bowed at the guard and walked through the gates.

That guy was surprisingly nice.

It also seed their cover wasn’t blown.

They passed through the inner gate.

And finally stepped into the Astoria Kingdom.

Chaos greeted them.

The streets were alive with activity. rchants shouted from their stalls, hawking their wares. Custors haggled loudly. Children ran between the crowds. Carriages rattled past on cobblestone roads.

The sll of fresh bread mixed with the scent of leather and tal.

Lunaris looked around, taking it all in.

Compared to our tiny tribe... this is what a real nation looks like.

"Excuse !"

A young girl approached them with a bright smile.

"Are you new here? Are you looking for a place to stay?"

A place to stay?

He thought about it.

No, they didn’t have any money.

"No," he said. "We’re just looking for the Adventurer’s Guild."

The girl pointed down the street.

"It should be a large building past the corner. You can’t miss it."

"Thank you."

He nodded at her and continued forward.

Seeing how the guard had recomnded his "bodyguard" go to the Adventurer’s Guild, he guessed it was a place where strong people gathered.

Maybe he could obtain a few useful skills from them.

That being said...

He felt a little hesitant.

After all, stronger people were more likely to see through them.

...

The two walked into the Adventurer’s Guild.

The interior was simple. Wooden tables and chairs were scattered across the room. People sat chattering away or nursing drinks. The sll of ale hung in the air.

This seed more like a tavern than anything else.

Though Lunaris was confused.

The interior was much smaller than he had expected, considering how large the building appeared from the outside.

Through his Spatial Domain, he noticed the truth.

Hidden rooms behind the walls. Concealed passages. An entire underground system beneath their feet.

This place is dangerous.

"Mira, don’t stray from ."

"Understood, my Lord."

As they walked forward, he felt the gazes of others turning toward them.

Those looks.

He could tell.

He rembered those looks from his freshman days. Whenever he was sent to the senior classes for anything, they always eyed the freshn like fresh at.

Though these guys’ looks were even more ferocious.

They needed to finish their business and get out of this place quickly.
