"Okay."
She returned to her seat with a huge bouquet of flowers, imdiately drawing two female colleagues to gather around.
"Shuqing, did your boyfriend send these? So romantic."
Another colleague nodded in agreent, "Exactly, and by the looks of it, there are at least 99 roses, and they’re red roses too."
Zhuang Shuqing smiled awkwardly, "I don’t have a boyfriend."
Only a husband.
"Wow, it seems your admirer is really thoughtful, knowing where you work and delivering flowers here. Since you don’t have a boyfriend, you should totally go for him."
She continued to smile, "It’s all about fate."
The two female colleagues laughed and walked away, no longer teasing her.
She breathed a sigh of relief; she really wanted to know who had sent them too.
As far as she knew, there were only two friends who were aware that she worked here: Qin Huaixin and Lu Jinyang.
Qin Huaixin surely wouldn’t do sothing this silly, could it be Lu Jinyang?
Zhuang Shuqing found a note in the flowers. As she opened it, she gasped.

His call of "sister-in-law" jolted Zhuang Shuqing. She smiled awkwardly, "Mr. Gu, please don’t call that. Just call Ms. Zhuang or Shuqing."
Gu Chen appeared a bit astonished at her words, then laughed, "I wouldn’t dare to call you that even if you gave a hundred guts. I’ve heard from young master Lu that you already know this place is his turf, so I ought to call you sister-in-law."
Zhuang Shuqing held her forehead, wishing Gu Chen had the temperant of Leng Yixing—easier to talk to. The key issue was that his warm smile made it impossible for her to decline.
She chose to remain silent.
"Sister-in-law, you haven’t answered my question yet."
She pursed her lips and took a while before speaking honestly, "Well, it was from a man I’ve t twice."
Gu Chen was surprised. Start sending flowers after two etings? It looked like young master Lu had encountered a rival in love.
"But I’ve already thrown them away," Zhuang Shuqing lifted her gaze, deciding it was better to be clear to avoid unnecessary trouble if this got back to Lu Jinyang.
After she finished speaking, she caught a fleeting smile in Gu Chen’s eyes.
"What task did you draw during this morning’s eting?"
Zhuang Shuqing was puzzled, "Wasn’t it prearranged?"
"Yeah, it’s all about luck."
"..." She wanted to curse. Her luck was ridiculously good, managing to draw Lu Jinyang with such odds.
"What, sister-in-law isn’t happy with the result of the draw this morning?"
"Satisfied, of course I’m satisfied." She gritted her teeth in frustration. Fine then, this three-day interview assignnt didn’t require her to return to the studio, but her unfortunate luck had her heading back to his side just when she’d finally managed to get away.
