Chapter 4

"Lu Jinyang!" Xiao Qing suddenly called out to him, "How co I feel like your emotional intelligence is dropping?"

Lu Jinyang was unconcerned, "Being repressed for a while, it’s bound to cause so issues, right?"

Xiao Qing was choked up, unable to say a word. She gave him a long look before decisively heading to the playroom to accompany the kids.

Watching Xiao Qing’s exasperated figure, Lu Jinyang’s lips curled into a slight smile, thoroughly enjoying this kind of atmosphere between them. It seed he needed to speed up dealing with Old Master Xiao’s matters.

Seeing happiness just around the corner yet out of reach made Lu Jinyang very uncomfortable.

He took out his phone and dialed He Ning’s number. As soon as the call was answered, he inquired about Xiao Anze’s situation. Upon learning that Xiao Anze had recovered yet shalessly remained there, Lu Jinyang couldn’t help but scorn that thick-skinned man.

At the sa ti, the man being scorned by Lu Jinyang was experiencing sothing he’d never encountered.

After being discharged, he shalessly followed Yang Qiao ho. When Yang Qiao wouldn’t let him into the room, he lay on the sofa. After two days, his waist was sore, his back was aching, but during the day he was still cheerfully tagging along behind her.

Yang Qiao knew no matter how she chased him away, he wouldn’t leave, so she simply ignored him.

On this day, she had arranged to have a al with Yang Zi.

Ever since finding out that the girl who got injured was Yang Zi’s ex-girlfriend, Yang Qiao beca particularly invested in their affairs. Her brother, like her, was incurably romantic.

In the hospital, she observed the interaction pattern between Yang Zi and the girl, which was quite peculiar. Yang Qiao intended to help them, so for today’s al, she specifically instructed Yang Zi to bring the girl along.

Xiao Anze wanted to tag along, but Yang Qiao stopped him. Her attitude was firm, so Xiao Anze didn’t push it further, lest she got upset and kicked him out, which would be a real loss.

They arranged to et at a small restaurant by the beach. When they arrived, it was the lunch rush, and there were no spots indoors, so the owner arranged a canopy outside for them.

Yang Qiao asked Yang Zi, "Do you mind being in an open-air area?"

Ning Mo smiled and shook her head. As long as she was dining with Yang Zi, she didn’t mind where they were.

Yang Zi said, "It’s not like we haven’t eaten in a place like this before."

"Then let’s stay here."

Since the two ladies present weren’t very familiar with each other, the task of ordering naturally fell to Yang Zi.

While Yang Zi was ordering, Yang Qiao struck up a conversation with Ning Mo.

Yang Zi asked, "How long is your crew planning to stay here?"

Before Ning Mo could respond, Yang Zi answered himself, saying, "Leaving the day after tomorrow."

"I wasn’t asking you, I was asking Ning Mo."

Ning Mo glanced sideways at Yang Zi, worried he’d be upset, and quickly said, "I haven’t really been paying attention to those details, Yang Zi knows more than I do." She preferred calling him "A Zi," but thought "Yang Zi" was more appropriate in front of his sister.

"So was this trip mainly for shooting or sothing else?"

Before replying, Ning Mo instinctively looked at Yang Zi. Seeing this ti he had no intention of speaking, she answered, "Mainly for scenic shots, and then it was decided to shoot the male and female leads’ scenes by the sea here."

"Oh, that’s how it is. A Zi is playing the male lead, who’s the female lead?"

Ning Mo slightly lowered her head, a bit embarrassed, and replied, "That’s ~"

Yang Qiao was quite surprised, "It’s you~ I thought who might be fortunate enough to act opposite him without getting on his nerves." After speaking, she looked at the two of them with a hint of playfulness.
