Gu Chen cleared his throat upon hearing that and smiled, "Auntie Han, you worry too much. I asked to co over. The most important thing after surgery is recovery. I can’t just stay at ho all day. Walking around actually helps with the recovery process."
"That makes sense. But..." Ye Han’s gaze shifted back to Leng Yixing, she asked, "Did Dabao go to your place? Why didn’t he co back with you?"
"That..." Leng Yixing suddenly being singled out, didn’t know how to respond for a mont. Fortunately, Xiao Qing reacted quickly. She hurriedly took over the conversation, "Mom, it’s so late already, Dabao should be asleep. We can just ask him tomorrow if he wants to co back."

Two people, one large bed, yet since entering the room, there had been no further movent, both stood inside the door, motionless.

When he ca out of the bathroom, he found Gu Li lying on the couch, covered with a small blanket from who knows where.
Gu Chen’s expression darkened instantly, he walked over, pulled off the blanket from her, and commanded, "Go sleep on the bed!"
Gu Li slowly opened her eyes, saw Gu Chen’s stern face, and instinctively shrunk back into the couch. This movent was unintentional, but it didn’t seem so innocent in Gu Chen’s eyes.
Seeing Gu Li just staring at him and making no further move, his voice grew deeper, "Gu Li, I don’t want to repeat myself. Or do you want to carry you to the bed?"
If it hadn’t been for Li Yan’s specific instructions that she should not engage in physical labor or strenuous exercise within this month, his approach to her would not have been this way.
Hearing him say he would carry her, Gu Li trembled and without another word got up, walked to the large bed, pulled back the covers, and lay down. Her movents were fluid, without a hint of hesitation, which left Gu Chen stunned for a long ti.
Realizing his lapse, Gu Chen imdiately reverted to his usual deanor.
He strode to the bed, like usual, took off his jacket, and lay on the other side of the bed. He distinctly felt the body lying beside him tremble as he lay down.
Gu Chen didn’t say anything, his gaze dim.
Her feelings towards him had not changed, just like before, fearful of being in close contact with him. He had thought that after spending ti together during her hospital stay, she would let go of past grievances and start to accept him, especially since they had gotten along harmoniously, not excluding close contact.
