Zhuang Shuqing twisted her body and reached for her bag to open the door, "If you’re busy, I can get back on my own."

The man’s voice was as deep as ever, her hand paused on the doorknob, and she pursed her lips, "I haven’t."
"I hope I was wrong today."
Zhuang Shuqing, listening to his displeased tone, suddenly felt like laughing, "Lu Jinyang, you and I are just a couple by agreent, this marriage is bound to end sooner or later, you don’t have to keep such a tight rein on ."
Her words were not polite, and yet, surprisingly, he didn’t get angry, "Go back and read the agreent again, to see whether this marriage ends or not."
"What do you an?" Her heart skipped a beat; Zhuang Shuqing started to realize she had overlooked sothing.
Lu Jinyang turned his head, patiently explaining, "The clause you added, that the marriage lasts until that child’s death."

Zhuang Shuqing’s mind flashed with sudden realization, her eyes widening in disbelief; had she trapped herself?
Back then, the doctors said the condition was serious, and without money for Xiaoxuan’s treatnt, that’s why she had that idea. She did not respond.

No sooner had her words fallen than Lu Jinyang’s face turned as dark as the bottom of a pot, his expression grew heavier and ignoring her words, he started the car and drove away.
After dropping her off, Lu Jinyang left; on his way back, he received a phone call, looking quite troubled, yet he insisted on dropping her off first.
Watching the disappearing Bentley, Zhuang Shuqing shook her head helplessly. Let it be, let it be; this matter could be put aside for now, she would find a suitable opportunity to have a proper talk with him later.
When she got ho, she then rembered that today was Monday; her hands frantically searched through her bag for her phone to call Manager Chen.
As the phone connected, before she could speak, Manager Chen spoke first: "Shuqing, feeling better?" "Manager Chen, I’m so sorry, really sorry. I just got back from the hospital, and I just realized it’s Monday. I didn’t go to work nor did I call in sick..."
"It’s alright; President Gu has already inford ."

"Take good care of your injury, there’s a task waiting for you when you get back."

After hanging up the phone, Zhuang Shuqing thought for a long ti but could not understand why it was President Gu who had asked for leave on her behalf.
The fact that she was injured was known only to her and Lu Jinyang, but how did President Gu find out?
