The couple waited at the door of the operating room for what felt like an eternity.

"Within an hour. However, I suggest you find soone soon to stay with him. He will need soone by his side to look after him in the following days."

She looked towards Li Yan, who returned a helpless expression.

From behind them, Lu Jinyang spoke sharply, startling them as they imdiately turned around.
All they could see was Gu Chen trying to prop himself up to sit, but Lu Jinyang pushed him back down onto the bed forcefully, a sight that sent shivers down the spines of all who witnessed it.
Gu Chen let out a muffled groan, his already pale face turning even whiter.
"Lu Jinyang, have you lost your mind!" Xiao Qing, seeing Lu Jinyang reaching out to Gu Chen again, ran up in three steps, grabbing hold of his hand to stop him, "He’s just had surgery, how can you be so violent towards him, this is murder!"
To her shock, Lu Jinyang rely gave her a cold glance, his voice filled with a chilling intent, "If he doesn’t want to live, I’ll help him on his way."
