Entering the room, Lu Jinyang had already taken off his coat and was leaning back on the sofa with his eyes closed.
The man’s posture was upright and his features handso, his long legs crossed displayed an indescribable lazy beauty.
Zhuang Shuqing silently withdrew her gaze, resigned to taking out the dicine box to dress his wounds.
She didn’t know how he knew where she lived, nor why he ca tonight knowing she was ho but deliberately didn’t open the door for him. Subconsciously, she felt a man as handso and capable as he should not be provoked.
So, she decided to do a good job changing his bandages; only when he recovers quickly could she return to her normal life sooner.
After changing the bandages, she called him: "Mr. Lu, the bandages are done."
Lu Jinyang opened his eyes, glanced at her slightly, and said, "Give your phone."
"What for?"
"To make a call."
Zhuang Shuqing: "You didn’t bring your phone?"
Lu Jinyang looked at her without speaking, then she assud he admitted to not bringing his phone, picked up the phone from the table, unlocked it, and handed it to him.
After getting the phone, Lu Jinyang’s fingers rapidly tapped on it, not seeming to be making a call. Zhuang Shuqing watched his movents without blinking.
Just a few seconds later, he handed the phone back to her, turned around without a word, and left.
Zhuang Shuqing looked puzzled at her own phone, discovering no call records, no text ssages, or any other signs of tampering, and frowned—what did he press for so long on her phone without doing anything?
Unbeknownst to her, Lu Jinyang walked down the stairs, glanced at the string of numbers in his own phone’s inbox, expertly saved it to the contact list, and drove off.
The next day was Zhuang Shuqing’s first day working at Mo Entertainnt Studio.
She arrived early and took the seat assigned to her the previous day. There was a girl next to her who greeted her, and she nodded back amiably.
The girl stood up, extended her hand toward her, smiling, "Hello, I am Lin Xiaoxiao, nice to et you."
She also stood up and shook her hand: "Hello, I am the newbie, Zhuang Shuqing, please guide ."
"Oh, you’re a newbie too, what a coincidence, it’s also my first day."
Zhuang Shuqing chuckled dryly, "Yes."
"We must help each other then." Lin Xiaoxiao had short hair and a typical internet-celebrity face, smiling alluringly.
"Mhm." Zhuang Shuqing replied indifferently.
The office gradually filled with people, and the two stopped talking.
Around ten o’clock, a woman walked into the office and said, "Attention everyone, today there’s a reception at Seaview Bay, an engagent party, and we need to send a familiar face who has been to Seaview Bay before. Who among the colleagues has been there?"
At this mont, a female colleague stood up, "Secretary Ding, although we’ve been there, the problem is that because we’ve been there, it’s difficult. Almost every ti, we were driven away."
Secretary Ding frowned, "What should we do then? I will go and report this to Manager Gu." After speaking, she walked off on her high heels.
After she left, Lin Xiaoxiao leaned over her desk and whispered to her, "Shuqing, have you been to Seaview Bay? I heard it’s very fancy."
Seeing her longing look, Zhuang Shuqing thought about nodding but instead skirted around the first part of her sentence, "I’ve heard so."
"It would be simply wonderful to have a chance to enter there."
Zhuang Shuqing smiled but said nothing; she didn’t enjoy talking too much with people she wasn’t close with.
Soon, Secretary Ding returned.
"Manager Gu said we need a new face. Zhuang Shuqing!"
"Yes." Being called out unexpectedly, she stood up abruptly.
"Your resu states that you have been to Seaview Bay and completed work excellently, thus this task is assigned to you."
