"Hmm, my wife, she’s got a fever. Let’s see what’s suitable for her to eat," Lu Jinyang said.

The man gave Zhuang Shuqing a "I get it" look and said, "Sister-in-law, just go ahead and eat your fill later. You know, this is the first ti I’ve seen Lu Shao bring a female companion here. Oh, I got it wrong, this is actually the first ti I’ve seen a woman by Lu Shao’s side. Later, when you have ti, you must tell how to win the heart of our proud and aloof Lu Shao."

After saying that, he winked at Zhuang Shuqing, causing her to chuckle.

With a long reach, Lu Jinyang scooped her up into his arms, "Is there a private room available?"

"Yes, there is. You guys are early, the other room has already been booked."

Lu Jinyang raised his eyebrows, "So there are others who appreciate the food more than I do?"

"Indeed, Lu Shao, you haven’t been here for so long. After we eat, don’t find annoying—I’d like to sit and chat with you."

"Alright."

Lu Jinyang led Zhuang Shuqing toward the private room.

She noticed that there weren’t many dining tables in the restaurant, about ten or so. There were only two private rooms, one already occupied, and they entered the empty one.

Before entering the private room, she thought she heard a familiar voice coming faintly from the next room. Her head still felt a bit foggy, and she couldn’t recall where she had heard it before. Seeing Lu Jinyang already seated, she closed the door of the private room and sat down as well.

"Feeling any better?" Lu Jinyang asked.

Zhuang Shuqing, with her head tilted, resting on the table, replied, "Still a bit dizzy, maybe I’m just hungry."

He chuckled softly, "You really are a foodie."

Suddenly rembering sothing, Zhuang Shuqing asked in puzzlent, "What kind of food does your friend have here? We haven’t even looked at the nu yet."

"There is no nu here."

She raised her eyebrows, only to hear him say, "He serves dicinal cuisine. You just have to tell him what’s ailing you."

Really? That magical?

Zhuang Shuqing knew that dicinal cuisine was quite mystical, and anyone who could prepare it well was definitely a master. She suddenly beca very interested in the dicinal cuisine she was about to eat.

"He’s a comrade-in-arms of mine."

Zhuang Shuqing was caught off guard and didn’t react at first to Lu Jinyang’s sudden remark.

He repeated it, "We’re comrades-in-arms. A few years ago, he was injured and had to leave the military. That’s when he started running this place."

So they were comrades-in-arms!

Zhuang Shuqing smiled, a glimr of light flashing across her slightly sickly face, "Then he must know a lot about your past, doesn’t he?"

"Mhm."

Hearing his answer, she lowered her head, apparently scheming sothing.

A voice ca softly from above, "If you want to know about my past, you can just ask ."

Looking up, she t his playful dark eyes, and was instantly at a loss for words.

"Wishful thinking!" Despite her words, the smile at the corners of her mouth just wouldn’t fade.

When Yi Mifan walked in, what he saw was exactly this scene.

The man watched the woman opposite him with a smile in his eyes, and her face was overflowing with happiness.

He paused for a mont, then, laughing, walked further in: "It seems Lu Shao and sister-in-law are quite in love."

Zhuang Shuqing blushed and turned her head away, too embarrassed to look at him.

Lu Jinyang, however, collected his smile and, looking at the dicinal cuisine on the table, couldn’t help nodding in appreciation, "The cooking has improved again."

"Haha, brother, you’ve changed. You never used to praise like this," Yi Mifan said, glancing at Zhuang Shuqing.

"That was before," Lu Jinyang caught his gaze, "Your cooking skills weren’t at the point where just the sll of it would make one’s stomach growl."

Yi Mifan: "..."
