In the cramped space of the elevator, there were only two people. For the first ti, Leng Shuangshuang found the elevator so slow; although it was clearly only over ten seconds, she felt it lasted a century.
Finally arriving at the parking lot, Lu Jincheng walked to the driver’s seat, opened the car door, and got in. Leng Shuangshuang was taken aback for a mont, then proceeded to the back seat, ready to open the car door.
"Click~"
Leng Shuangshuang was dumbfounded because Lu Jincheng had locked the back seat door, and she couldn’t open it.
She stood for a mont, tried again, but still couldn’t open it. Just as she was debating whether to call Lu Jincheng over to unlock the door, Lu Jincheng got out of the car, walked over to her side, opened the front passenger seat door, and without a word, shoved her inside.
Sitting in the front passenger seat, Leng Shuangshuang was still in a daze.
It turned out that Lu Jincheng locked the back-seat door not to prevent her from getting in his car, but to make her sit in the front.
Lu Jincheng got in and saw Leng Shuangshuang spacing out without putting on her seatbelt. He took a deep breath and pressed on his throbbing forehead vein, "Seatbelt."
Suddenly hearing Lu Jincheng speak, Leng Shuangshuang was stunned and didn’t react.
Seeing this, Lu Jincheng simply stopped talking, turned and lunged over, fastened her seatbelt as she looked at him in panic, then started the car and drove away.
Leng Shuangshuang didn’t know how she managed to make it through the ride; she only knew that when she arrived at the Lu residence, her mind was still blank.
Inside, people ca out when they heard the sound, it was Qin Huaixin.
Almost ten days since she last saw her daughter, Qin Huaixin missed her dearly; upon seeing her, she gave her a hug, and then led her inside.
Lu Jincheng followed closely behind them.
Lu Xinyun was chatting with San’er and Little Sun. When she saw Leng Shuangshuang coming over, she quickly ran over, pushed Qin Huaixin into the kitchen, and pulled Leng Shuangshuang to sit beside her.
"Sister Shuang’er, it’s so hot, aren’t you afraid of getting heatstroke wearing a turtleneck?"
San’er leaned on the sofa, looking at Leng Shuangshuang, and said teasingly.
Leng Shuangshuang’s expression stiffened slightly; before she could speak, Lu Xinyun retorted, "You little brat, why should you care how girls dress? Didn’t you see Shuang’er wearing a sleeveless long dress?"
San’er rubbed his nose, "It just looks hot."
Little Sun couldn’t help but laugh upon hearing this; his big smile was like a breath of spring breeze, "San’er, aren’t you wearing a turtleneck shirt too?"
San’er: "..."
Seeing the two of them chatting, Lu Xinyun asked Leng Shuangshuang, "I heard from mommy that you took a day off yesterday. Was your stomach acting up again?"
Lu Jincheng was about to go upstairs when he suddenly heard Lu Xinyun’s words from behind; his steps paused slightly.
Lu Xinyun continued, "If I had known, I wouldn’t have ssaged you last night."
Outside of their view, Lu Jincheng’s eyes darkened a bit; it turned out Leng Shuangshuang hadn’t lied to him.
He stood by the stairway for a mont, then turned around and walked towards the sofa.
Leng Shuangshuang was about to say sothing, but at the corner of her eye, she saw Lu Jincheng approaching, and she instinctively shut her mouth.
"Hey? Did the sun rise from the west today?" San’er couldn’t help but tease.
Lu Xinyun looked at San’er, speechless, "You used to be quite good; how did you grow up to be so crooked?"
Leng Shuangshuang covered her mouth and chuckled at the words; Little Sun smiled too.
San’er, on the other hand, rolled his eyes at Lu Xinyun, "Are you my real sister?"
"Go ask Daddy, I only know Jinchen and I ca out of the sa belly."
