"This furnace is truly magical," Fire-Anvil said as he handed a shield and sword to Zeke.

"Adamantium items are generally extrely hard to reverse-engineer. Recasting them is difficult work."

[Shield (Adamantium Plating)]

[Trait: Almost Indestructible. This shield can withstand the vast majority of physical attacks. When the guard is broken, it will jar the opponent’s weapon, effectively disarming them.]

The Adamantium Shield was a deep, dark purple all over, sharing a color sche similar to the Warden from Minecraft.

[Iron Sword (Genestealer Blade)]

[Trait: Bio-Field. An iron sword fitted with a Genestealer claw, inheriting the original biological field. Every successful hit lowers the opponent’s defense value until it reaches zero.]

[Attack Power: 7, Attack Speed: dium]

The Genestealer Sword used iron as a base, but the blade featured irregular, serrated patterns.

Zeke fondled his new equipnt, unable to put it down.

"Adamantium veins are very rare," Fire-Anvil said while wiping his tools, lost in thought.

"If there were enough Adamantium," Fire-Anvil added, "I could attempt to forge a set of Heavy Adamantium Plate Armor. However, Adamantium is incredibly dense; I fear only an Ogryn would be able to move in such armor."

Zeke only heard the first half: Adamantium Plate Armor.

He gripped his newly acquired sword and shield, feeling his body surge with endless motivation.

He took back the Tinkers’ Construct Manual ("Materials and You") that Fire-Anvil handed back. "Fire-Anvil, if you didn’t have this book, could you still forge these?"

"Hmm?" Fire-Anvil subconsciously tried to recall. "I just read the contents of the book, I should... wait, my mory is fading?"

Hearing this, Zeke actually breathed a sigh of relief and patted Fire-Anvil on the shoulder. "Not being able to rember is a good thing."

In the Warhamr universe, knowledge was not always a benevolent force. Even books that carried knowledge were strictly controlled by specialized personnel.

Reading a few lines and dropping dead was the best-case scenario; the worst was having your mind silently altered, leading to betrayal.

[A Great Being is very interested in your Tinkers’ Construct Manual.]

[Attract the attention of three more Beings to unlock Mod: Enigmatic Legacy.]

Again? Zeke looked at the notification, much calr this ti.

First ti’s a shock, second ti’s a routine.

Zeke picked up the manual and flipped through it, discovering many strange and bizarre materials.

For example, Nurglings, Angron’s Butcher’s Nails... and an old friend, Blackstone.

It was that sa black rock Zeke couldn’t dig through when he first spawned underground.

His top priority now was to hurry up and get a higher-tier pickaxe.

Zeke set off imdiately, heading back to the tunnel to push the engineering effort forward.

"We’re almost there. We can start excavating upward now. Leave a ramp for the tanks to pass through."

Night fell once again.

At the end of the tunnel, the surveyor rubbed his bloodshot eyes, looking at the energetic Zeke in front of him.

"Is this guy made of iron? Us support staff are about to collapse from exhaustion, but he isn’t sleepy at all?" he muttered to his companion.

Zeke paid no mind to their grumbling.

He paused the Blueprint in his hand and looked up at the ceiling.

This was the final stretch.

According to the plan, once they reached the designated position beneath the Bastion, they couldn’t breach the surface imdiately.

Firstly, they had to prevent the noise of excavation from alerting the guards above.

Secondly, they needed to send a scout squad up to the surface first to assess the surroundings and find the most suitable position for the tanks to launch their assault.

"Go notify Sergeant Victor. Tell him we have arrived at the designated location," the surveyor ordered his companion.

Zeke had already taken out his Iron Pickaxe and started digging upward.

Seeing this, the surveyor emphasized again to the figures gradually erging from the darkness behind him:

"You must prioritize safety. Your mission is reconnaissance. If anything seems wrong, retreat imdiately."

"Received, Comrade Surveyor. Thank you for your hard work." Dance stepped out of the shadows. He had changed into a set of Cadian Carapace Armor, the scar on his face looking as savage as ever.

Beside him was a short, agile figure—Bela.

He cradled a sniper rifle in his arms. "Finally, a mission. I’ve been tossing woks in the kitchen for so long, I’ve almost forgotten what a trigger feels like."

Then, a third figure walked out, looking sowhat awkward. It was Karmine.

She had clearly rushed over; her hair was a bit ssy.

"dic Karmine?!" The surveyor rubbed his eyes again.

Zeke had reserved a spot in the reconnaissance squad, and to accommodate him, Sergeant Victor had assigned people Zeke was familiar with—but that list did not include Karmine.

Karmine tossed her hair back.

Karmine had long since developed a thod for dealing with Sergeant Victor: act first, report later—or simply don’t report at all.

The surveyor opened his mouth, sighed helplessly, and chose to compromise.

"Fine..." He nodded and saluted the group. "On behalf of the survey team, I wish you a smooth operation and a safe return."

Dance, Bela, and Karmine returned the salute.

"Hey, are you guys coming or what? I’ve almost dug to the top."

The three exchanged glances and said no more.

Dance took point, Bela followed, and Karmine brought up the rear.
