Wasn’t it exactly because take-out wasn’t as tasty that she was now rightfully entering his ho?

“There’s so cut fruit on the coffee table,” Xie Yanchuan added before turning and slowly walking towards the kitchen as if he found it hard to leave Xu Jinzhi.
It was only after Xie Yanchuan went to the kitchen that Xu Jinzhi began to look around the apartnt. She had been here in her previous life, so nothing felt unfamiliar, but it had been such a long ti, and returning here now was sowhat emotional.
Not dwelling on her thoughts for too long, Xu Jinzhi soon stood at the kitchen doorway but didn’t enter. Instead, she leaned against the doorfra with a smile, watching Xie Yanchuan busy himself in the kitchen.

Xie Yanchuan didn’t move imdiately; instead, he hesitantly said, “You drove here; you can’t drink.”
“I can get a Driver,” Xu Jinzhi said.
Xie Yanchuan frowned slightly, seemingly lost in thought.
Xu Jinzhi continued, “Of course, if you want to stay overnight, that’s not impossible either.”

“Bring two glasses!” Xu Jinzhi called out.

Xu Jinzhi truly loved the dishes Xie Yanchuan made; she couldn’t stop praising them from the first bite.
To say Xie Yanchuan wasn’t a bit happy would be a lie. No one could be unhappy when their skills are affird by others.
However, Xie Yanchuan wasn’t a good drinker, and after Xu Jinzhi toasted with him a few tis, he felt he might have drunk a bit too much.
So when Xu Jinzhi tried to pour him another drink, he refused, “I’m not drinking anymore.”
Xu Jinzhi slightly tilted her head and looked at Xie Yanchuan, “Drank too much?”
Xie Yanchuan didn’t deny it, nodding honestly, “Yes, feeling a bit dizzy.”
After a pause, Xie Yanchuan added, “You should stop drinking too; it’s not good for your health.”
