“Wake up,” Xie Yanchuan said in a warm voice.
The man sat beside the bed and reached out to help Xu Jinzhi sit up, “There’s sothing I want to discuss with you.”
Xu Jinzhi stiffened, instinctively looking up at Xie Yanchuan, her eyes revealing a hint of caution, “What’s the matter?”
Xie Yanchuan seed not to have expected such a strong reaction from Xu Jinzhi. He paused for a mont before saying, “Dad wants us to go back ho earlier, to spend more ti with Grandpa.”
Xu Jinzhi watched Xie Yanchuan for a few seconds before her expression returned to normal. She spoke in a calm voice, “That’s fine with .”
After all, it was just for the New Year holidays. It didn’t really matter.
Besides, no one could make her upset, as she wasn’t soone to be trifled with.
“Then are we going back today or shall we return tomorrow?” Xie Yanchuan continued, his gaze fixed on Xu Jinzhi, sowhat puzzled by her earlier guardedness.
Xu Jinzhi said, “Let’s go back today. Grandpa’s getting on in years and would like his grandchildren around. We can also visit more often when we have ti.”
In Xu Jinzhi’s mory, Old Master Xie didn’t have many years left.
Even though Xie Yanchuan seed aloof, he hadn’t truly lost all feelings for the Xie Family; thus, even for Xie Yanchuan’s sake, it’s sothing she should do.
“Okay, I’ll pack up in a bit, and we’ll have dinner at the old house today.”

Having decided, Xie Yanchuan began packing their luggage, and after getting his and Xu Jinzhi’s things ready, he went to pack for Tuantuan in the children’s room.
In the end, it took three large suitcases to be fully packed.
Tuantuan still didn’t know they were going to the old house so soon; he had been playing downstairs and climbed up only after hearing so noise upstairs.
He paused when he saw the packed suitcases, then hurriedly ran to his dad, “Daddy, daddy, are you going on a business trip?”
Hearing the words “business trip,” Xu Jinzhi’s expression changed slightly, but she quickly regained her composure. She kept reminding herself that she had been given a second chance at life, and she wouldn’t let the events of her previous life happen again.
Yet those terrifying events couldn’t be completely ignored.
Xie Yanchuan noticed the change in Xu Jinzhi’s expression upon hearing the words “business trip” and he sowhat understood.
It wasn’t until Tuantuan ca to him, looking anxious, that Xie Yanchuan explained, “No, it’s almost New Year, and we’re going to stay at Great Grandpa’s for a few days.”

“Yes.” There wasn’t a children’s room at the old house, and the nanny hadn’t co with them, so Tuantuan slept with them during the previous New Year.

“Your luggage is already packed by Dad, go see if there’s anything else you want to take with you,” Xie Yanchuan said as he patted Tuantuan’s head.
Tuantuan imdiately ran out to check his room.
Waiting for them to leave the house, it was already close to five o’clock. It wasn’t too late, but the daylight in winter was always short. At this mont, the sky had already turned dusky.
Tuantuan chattered nonstop, talking first to his dad, then to his mom, creating a very warm atmosphere in the car.

Nearly a month had passed since the incident of Xu Jinzhi’s mild fever.
After she had gotten over her fever, Xu Jinzhi returned to work until the company comnced its holiday yesterday, and she had the day off as well.

Then Xie Yihang dashed out of the villa, greeting “Second Uncle, Second Auntie” first. Without waiting for the two adults to respond, and with no intention of further conversation, he grabbed Tuantuan’s hand and ran off.
“Tuantuan, little brother, co see the gift Great Grandpa bought you!” Xie Yihang excitedly exclaid.
Tuantuan, being pulled along, didn’t forget to look back at Xu Jinzhi and the others, and then said in a sweet voice, “Daddy, Mommy, co inside quickly.”
“Alright, watch your step,” Xu Jinzhi replied, sowhat amused.
As they walked farther away, Xie Yanchuan took out the luggage from the trunk. Xu Jinzhi stepped forward to help but was refused by Xie Yanchuan, “No need, I can handle it.”
