Chapter 210: Chapter 210: When Sui Sui was this old, Xie Yanchuan was already gone

“Would you like to eat a bit and then continue sleeping?” Xie Yanchuan stepped back.

Xu Jinzhi was pregnant after all, nearly four months along. It wasn’t appropriate for her not to eat sothing, or else Xie Yanchuan genuinely couldn’t bear to wake her up.

“Xie Yanchuan! I’m getting angry!” Xu Jinzhi opened her eyes and said furiously.

The two looked at each other for a mont, and Yanchuan said, “Okay, continue sleeping then.”

As he spoke, Xie Yanchuan pulled the blanket that Jinzhi had just thrown off back over her. However, Jinzhi did not continue sleeping, still glaring angrily at Yanchuan.

After a mont of eye contact, Xu Jinzhi huffed and said, “Move, I’m getting up.”

Xu Jinzhi had already slept for a long ti; in fact, she had already woken up once earlier, but the weather made her not want to get out of bed at all, so she shut her eyes again and slept.

But now, after all this fuss, Xu Jinzhi really couldn’t fall asleep anymore.

Xie Yanchuan, without showing any annoyance, quickly reached out to help Xu Jinzhi up, then gently asked, “Do you want to carry you to wash up?”

Xu Jinzhi didn’t speak, still sowhat dissatisfied with Yanchuan, but he smiled lightly and then picked her up and walked toward the bathroom.

After a quick wash-up and change of clothes, the two went downstairs, where Tuantuan was still occupied with assembling small parts in his designated area.

Upon hearing so movent, he instinctively looked up and then called out sweetly, “Mom.”

“Good morning, Tuantuan.” Although Xu Jinzhi was still a bit upset because of Yanchuan waking her up, she was fully patient when interacting with Tuantuan.

Mother and son affectionately embraced each other, and then Tuantuan looked at Jinzhi’s barely noticeable belly and said, “Good morning, little sister.”

Xu Jinzhi smiled softly, patted Tuantuan’s head, and moved toward the dining room. Originally, she only wanted to sleep, but since she was up, breakfast was certainly necessary.

Yanchuan followed, quietly helping Xu Jinzhi with the porridge and milk.

However, Jinzhi hadn’t eaten a few bites before she couldn’t help but sigh deeply, her face expressionless, as if she was very tired.

In fact, Jinzhi really did feel quite exhausted. Carrying Sui Sui this ti always made her feel weary.

Even though many work issues had been scaled back, and there wasn’t much to worry about at ho, she just felt tired.

Yanchuan naturally noticed sothing was amiss with Jinzhi’s condition. He frowned slightly, his voice tinged with concern as he asked, “Jinzhi, are you feeling unwell?”

Xu Jinzhi looked up at the sound of his voice, glanced at Yanchuan — initially, she didn’t want to bother with him. However, seeing his worried face and concerned he might overthink, she still said, “No.”

If speaking of discomfort, there was none; she only felt tired, just like when she carried Sui Sui in her previous life.

But at that ti…

Xu Jinzhi was reminded of those unhappy incidents. She vaguely felt that perhaps the reason for her inexplicable irritability was so psychological issue.

In her previous life while carrying Sui Sui, sothing had happened to Yanchuan.

Even though she knew everything was different in this life and even carrying Sui Sui had occurred much earlier, Xu Jinzhi couldn’t stop recalling the events from when she carried Sui Sui in her previous life.

She would always rember, Sui Sui’s month growing larger, and in her previous life, at the sa stage, Yanchuan was already gone.

Xu Jinzhi had dreamt several tis, and when she woke up, she genuinely thought Xie Yanchuan was no longer there.

However, Xu Jinzhi couldn’t talk to Xie Yanchuan about it, and she couldn’t even talk to anyone else; she could only keep it to herself.

“I’m fine, just not fully awake yet,” Xu Jinzhi said, looking at Xie Yanchuan and giving him a gentle smile.

She shouldn’t think too much. Xie Yanchuan was fine now, and he would be fine in the future; this ti, he would stay by her side for a lifeti.

Xie Yanchuan still frowned slightly, staring at Xu Jinzhi seriously, unsure whether her words were true.

But Xie Yanchuan had gone with Xu Jinzhi for every prenatal checkup, and he was aware of her condition; she had not experienced any morning sickness during this pregnancy.

Xie Yanchuan thought it through, but still couldn’t understand why Xu Jinzhi looked so pale.

In the end, he could only believe what Xu Jinzhi said.

Xie Yanchuan softly suggested, “After we finish eating, why don’t you go back to sleep for a while?”

“Mhm,” Xu Jinzhi nodded slightly.

But after breakfast, Xu Jinzhi didn’t return to the bedroom to rest; instead, looking at Xie Yanchuan and Tuantuan made her feel even more at ease.

Then Xie Yanchuan brought up the fact that Tuantuan was saying he didn’t want to go to kindergarten.

Xu Jinzhi was surprised. Why didn’t Tuantuan want to go to kindergarten?

That shouldn’t be the case.

Xu Jinzhi also asked Tuantuan, “But when kids grow up, they all go to kindergarten. If Tuantuan doesn’t go, you won’t learn anything, and you’ll just be a little dummy.”

Tuantuan pouted, seeming a bit unhappy, and after a mont of silence, he continued, “If I’m a little dummy, will Mom not like anymore?”

“Uh…” Xu Jinzhi turned her head to look at Xie Yanchuan, as if asking him how to answer this question properly.

Xie Yanchuan also didn’t know how to answer; of course they wouldn’t love Tuantuan any less if he were a “little dummy,” but the matter of going to kindergarten…

It seed like it couldn’t be avoided.

“Aren’t you a teacher?” Seeing that Xie Yanchuan was silent for a long ti, Xu Jinzhi whispered.

Although Xu Jinzhi had spoken vaguely, Xie Yanchuan still heard her; indeed, he was a teacher, but he never had to worry about whether his students went to school.

Furthermore, his students weren’t the sa age as Tuantuan, and he didn’t understand how such young children thought.

So Xu Jinzhi had to patiently explain to Tuantuan herself, although it was sowhat profound and even sowhat misleading, she finally managed to convince Tuantuan to agree to attend kindergarten later in the year.

But the Tuantuan who agreed to go to kindergarten still looked sowhat worried, as if he had encountered so very difficult situation.

Xu Jinzhi was sowhat amused yet perplexed.

But she was also puzzled; in her previous life, Tuantuan had liked going to school, so what was going on now?

Thinking about Tuantuan’s situation briefly diverted Xu Jinzhi’s attention.

Xie Yanchuan had been paying attention to Xu Jinzhi’s condition all along, and seeing that her complexion had gradually improved a lot, he finally accepted the explanation that Xu Jinzhi had not rested well earlier.
