Chapter 157: Chapter 157 Xie Yanchuan, You Are Really Kind Chapter 157: Chapter 157 Xie Yanchuan, You Are Really Kind Xie Yanchuan then turned on the lights in the bedroom, and the two of them quickly tidied up before heading downstairs.

A light was still on in the living room downstairs, and a servant was yet to rest, though she seed quite sleepy at the mont.

Hearing the noise, the servant looked up and at first was startled, then hurriedly asked, “Sir, madam, why are you up?”

“It’s nothing, just making so late-night snacks,” Xie Yanchuan said in a calm voice.

The servant quickly responded, “Alright, sir, madam, what would you like to eat? I’ll make it.”

“No need, I’ll cook it myself,” Xie Yanchuan continued.

The servant didn’t say anything further, went to the side, turned on so lights on the first floor of the villa, and then pretended to vanish.

Xie Yanchuan checked the kitchen and, finding no wontons, could only make dumplings for Xu Jinzhi.

The dumplings were pre-made and cooked quickly. Xu Jinzhi did not leave the kitchen, following Xie Yanchuan around like a little tail.

Every ti Xie Yanchuan turned around, he could see Xu Jinzhi following him and couldn’t help but smile helplessly.

Whenever he smiled, Xu Jinzhi would smile with him.

The dumplings were soon cooked. In the dining room, Xu Jinzhi was holding chopsticks in one hand and a spoon in the other, eating the dumplings voraciously as if she was extrely hungry.

Seeing her eat so eagerly, Xie Yanchuan couldn’t help but softly remind her, “Eat slowly.”

While eating, Xu Jinzhi looked up at Xie Yanchuan and said, sowhat indistinctly, “It’s not who’s in a hurry; Tuantuan is hungry—he’s the anxious one.”

Xie Yanchuan couldn’t help but laugh, yet nodded solemnly in understanding.

After finishing a bowl of dumplings, Xu Jinzhi felt utterly satisfied, her entire being emanating a slight aura of happiness.

“Sit for a while,” Xie Yanchuan said as he took away the dishes and utensils.

The servant, who had previously disappeared, hurriedly reappeared to take the dishes from Xie Yanchuan, saying, “Sir, let do it.”

Xie Yanchuan didn’t refuse and let the servant take away the dishes, then turned and went back to Xu Jinzhi’s side.

“Now we can go back to sleep.” Having eaten her fill, Xu Jinzhi felt sleepy, her eyelids growing heavy.

“Let’s go,” Xie Yanchuan said.

Xu Jinzhi stood up but showed no intention of walking, instead stretching her hand towards Xie Yanchuan.

It was clear what she wanted. She didn’t want to walk; she wanted Xie Yanchuan to carry her.

Xie Yanchuan said nothing and directly lifted Xu Jinzhi steadily, then leisurely walked toward the upstairs bedroom.

The next morning.

When Xu Jinzhi woke up, she found that Xie Yanchuan was no longer by her side. She reached over to the bedside table to grab her phone and saw that it was not even eight o’clock yet.

However, Xu Jinzhi had to go to work, so it was about ti for her to get up anyway.

She got up and went to the bathroom to wash up. By the ti she was done washing and had changed her clothes, Xie Yanchuan had just returned to the bedroom.

It was just eight o’clock, and Xie Yanchuan ca to wake Xu Jinzhi, only to find that she was already awake.

As he walked over to Xu Jinzhi, before he could reach her, Xu Jinzhi asked first, “Where did you go? Why do I sll a raw scent?”

Xie Yanchuan paused and brought his hand to his nose to sll it, detecting a faint scent. Concerned that Xu Jinzhi might feel uncomfortable, he didn’t co any closer to her.

However, Xie Yanchuan still explained, “I just wrapped so wontons to have on hand.”

Xu Jinzhi imdiately thought of the ti in the middle of the night when she told Xie Yanchuan she wanted wontons, and because there were none, Xie Yanchuan had cooked dumplings for her.

Since she had wanted them but hadn’t had them at that ti, Xie Yanchuan got up early to prepare them.

Xie Yanchuan, worried that Xu Jinzhi might feel uncomfortable, kept his distance, and Xu Jinzhi, also concerned about her own discomfort, specifically said when approaching Xie Yanchuan, “Put your hands behind your back first.”

Xie Yanchuan looked at Xu Jinzhi, puzzled, but complied with her request.

Once Xie Yanchuan had his hands behind his back, Xu Jinzhi quickly moved in front of him, stood on her tiptoes slightly, and kissed him on the lips.

“Xie Yanchuan, you are so kind, I really love you so much!”

After saying that, Xu Jinzhi imdiately stepped back, maintaining a certain distance from Xie Yanchuan.

Xu Jinzhi was moved, but not overwhelmingly so.

Xie Yanchuan said nothing, but the slight curve of his lips was enough to show that he was in a very good mood at the mont.

After breakfast, Xie Yanchuan drove Xu Jinzhi to work. School was starting in a couple of days, and Xie Yanchuan planned not to go to the lab these few days, but to prepare for his courses instead.

So he had so free ti to drive Xu Jinzhi to work.

Not only that, but instead of the driver delivering Xu Jinzhi’s lunch as before, it was now Xie Yanchuan doing it for the past two days.

He would bring lunch over at noon and then eat with Xu Jinzhi; after the al, Xu Jinzhi would take a short nap.

In the afternoon, Xu Jinzhi continued working while Xie Yanchuan prepared his lessons in her office, and afterwards, they would return ho together.

Every employee who ca into Xu Jinzhi’s office to report on work could not help but cast a couple of glances in Xie Yanchuan’s direction.

And Xie Yanchuan, not the least bit embarrassed, kept quietly doing his own work.

Coincidentally, that day Xie Suian ca over for a eting and stumbled upon Xie Yanchuan. He was sowhat surprised and greeted him, then asked why he was there.

Xie Yanchuan replied, “Nothing much, just accompanying Jinzhi at work.”

Hearing this, Xie Suian couldn’t help but wince. He chuckled awkwardly, bid farewell to Xie Yanchuan, and hurried off to his eting.

During the eting, Xie Suian observed Xu Jinzhi, who was so stern that the project manager dared not speak. A bizarre thought suddenly struck his mind.

Was Xu Jinzhi always like this at ho?

Xie Suian recalled that the girl was indeed quite decisive in usual interactions.

Could Yanchuan, with his gentle nature, possibly be mistreated?

Now, Xie Suian already felt guilty from previously neglecting Xie Yanchuan; looking at Xu Jinzhi’s character, his mind raced with various thoughts.

However, Xie Suian quickly discarded the absurd ideas from his mind. Clearly, Zhu Jinzhi was very protective of Yanchuan, much better than they, as parents, could ever be!

Ti passed quickly, and when the university resud, Xie Yanchuan naturally beca busy.

And an incident occurred on Xu Jinzhi’s side these days.

That was from the bait she had previously laid out; finally, a fish had taken it.

The news of Zhao Lei’s accident reached Xu Jinzhi earlier than it did Xu Zhen, knowing that Zhao Lei had been taken away by the police was particularly good news for her.
