If he went into past and didn't saw his past self, then the most likely why this happened is because he is powerful, he is very powerful yet still not powerful enough to change his past self.

Let's say he is powerful enough so that only he is the only one in the heaven and earth.

There is no past self, no future self. Only the present!

This is powerful enough.

And then cos powerful enough to overwhelm everything, when you have that much power then everything changes.

You can do whatever you want! You can went into past, change your past because even though there is no past self but a defined past is existed from beginning. And since you are powerful enough you can change it.

As for what happens with Lilith, it's naturally that she is powerful enough but not powerful to change everything.

That ans there is no past and future self of her in heaven and earth.

For Lilith, there is nothing that she needs to change in the past.

As for why she went into past, well it's a novel experience for her.

As for present self, they most likely don't matter or if there is really sothing she needs in past, then she didn't have enough power to bear the cause, effect and karma.

In other words she is aweso, she can go back in past, follow others into past, take action in past, can bear the cause, effect and karma doing to slaughter a world but she can't bear the cause, effect and karma if she wanted to have a treasure for herself.

"Yes." Liam replied and opened the ti and space gate again to go back in past.
