Theodore’s face was ashen after seeing what was at the end of the corridor leading to the laboratory earlier. Fortunately, everyone managed to escape from the giant zombie chase that was there.
Theodore didn’t know why there was such a zombie figure in this hospital, even though there was still a considerable ti lag before these zombies experienced their first evolution. Even the zombies they encountered this ti were more terrible than those that had experienced the first evolution.
Theodore and the others were hiding behind the large counter on the second floor. They hid themselves as much as possible from the giant zombie.
I don’t know if they should be grateful, but a giant zombie just stayed where it was and had no intention of leaving.
It was just that this would make it difficult for Theodore and the others to search the laboratory. However, Theodore felt they could most likely find Doctor Christopher there.
"So, what now? We can’t get into the lab because of that zombie monster!"
"How can there be such a big zombie in this place?!"
"We’ll die if we deal with those zombies."
Everyone sounded frustrated with their situation, even though they were pretty happy that there were no zombies on the hospital’s second floor.
But instead, they found the giant zombie. Theodore’s curiosity was finally satisfied when he realized there were no other zombies on the second floor because the giant zombie had eaten the other zombies there.
"For now, we should avoid those zombies as much as possible. It’s better to prioritize checking the other rooms," Theodore explained after silence.
"Not a bad idea. For now, we can just do what Theodore says," the army chief said firmly.
It wouldn’t make any difference if they stayed there without doing anything, so it was better to do what they could now. Just because there were giant zombies didn’t an they couldn’t do anything here.
"Alright, create a group to search this entire floor like before. Rember to stay away from that laboratory area." The army chief began to divide his group to search the second floor of the hospital,
While the army chief decided to go with Theodore, he felt they needed to have a chat about the giant zombie problem.
"Hey, we can patrol together. Besides, I want to talk about those weird zombies," said the army chief when he was near Theodore.
Theodore, who didn’t know the group leader’s na, needed clarification about how to respond.
The soldier leader seed to understand Theodore’s current confusion. He rolled his eyes and decided to say his na; it was actually his fault, too, since they had not been formally introduced.
"You can call Roderick. There’s no need to be too formal with ," Roderick continued.
"Alright." Theodore just nodded his head in understanding. Actually,. Actually, he wasn’t too keen on being associated with people from the military.
But Theodore didn’t mind the goodwill Roderick showed him since it was like this.
"There shouldn’t be any zombies like that. There’s no way we can defeat them," Theodore said later to answer Roderick’s question.
"I was stunned when I saw that zombie. If it wasn’t for your warning, I’m sure zombies have finished us." Roderick shook his head in disbelief at what they had seen earlier.
"We’ll have to find another way to get into the lab," Theodore replied thoughtfully.
"From what I know, the labs in this hospital are heavily guarded; it will be challenging for us to get in there. Even if we go through the front door, we’ll still have trouble," Roderick explained about the hospital’s laboratory.
"Did your team bring any explosives with you?" Theodore turned to Roderick expectantly.
"I think so, but the amount is minimal as we only managed to salvage a few from the main base in this city." After trying to rember, Roderick finally recalled that his team had brought so explosives.
"Very good then. We can think of a plan later to penetrate that laboratory.
Although Roderick didn’t know what Theodore was thinking, he could only nod his head and wait for what Theodore would do later.
For now, they were patrolling around the hospital’s well-equipped specialist rooms.
"Do you have any other information about the doctor Christopher we’re looking for?" Since he was with Roderick, Theodore decided to ask him.
"Not much, actually. From what I heard, Christopher is a doctor and researcher at this hospital, but I don’t know what kind of doctor he is," Roderick explained casually.
"Should we split up, considering how many rooms to check in this area?" Theodore said later.
"That’s a Good idea. We’ll et again here. Don’t forget to take anything useful," said Roderick, handing Theodore a sizable bag.
Theodore waltzed away as soon as he received Roderick’s bag, knowing that it contained dicines and dical equipnt that could be carried.
Since Theodore also had the sa Quest, he wouldn’t leave behind items he could take.
Moreover, Theodore had a system with him. With the help of the system, it would be easy for him to find where the items were. And now, Theodore was alone, so he could communicate with the system.
"Hey, system! I have sothing to ask you." Theodore was still thinking about the giant zombie he had seen earlier.
[What is it, host?]
"One thing I want to ensure is that Christopher is in the lab?" With a worried look, Theodore waited for a reply from the system.
[Yes, Doctor Christopher is inside the laboratory. If the host wants to save him, then it must be done as soon as possible because his condition has already begun to deteriorate as his food supply is running low]
Theodore had to hold his breath as he heard the system’s words. Not only did he have to get rid of the giant zombie, but he also had to do the rescue quickly.
Quite frustrated with his current situation, Theodore ruffled his hair roughly, wishing he could think of a plan to carry out this rescue. He even thought about telling Victor this.
One thing that curiously interested Theodore was that their group had yet to et up with the other groups scattered inside the hospital.
Although this hospital was extensive, Theodore wondered why they hadn’t heard from the other groups. One thing Theodore hoped for was that those people were not dead.
Because it would be challenging for them to face the giant zombie if only with their group mbers; their group only consisted of 7 people, so it was impossible with that number to get rid of that giant zombie.
