When the car Theodore was traveling in entered the gate, it was already dark; the sun had set a while ago. Slowly, the iceberg containing the zombies began to move on its own.

It didn’t take long before the iceberg began to break, and the zombies inside were free and began to chase toward Theodore’s car, which was at the very back.

Theodore also frowned unhappily. Inevitably, he had to use all his strength to hold back the zombies that started running towards him. Theodore started with a spread arrow.

That way, Theodore could kill many zombies at once. To follow up on that action, Theodore again used ice and fire arrows.

"Can you drive the car faster? I’m already struggling to hold off these zombies," Theodore said to his current driver.

"I’m doing my best. And the gate is already closing," the man replied anxiously.

"Don’t be afraid. All you need to do is drive this car at maximum speed." Theodore also tried to calm the man who was his driver.

Fortunately, they were now close to the entrance gate. Theodore relentlessly shot arrows from his crossbow, even though he could feel that his hands were already very sore after using arrows all day.

This ti, Theodore finally understood why Neville had previously looked so powerless after using arrows for hours. Theodore glanced quickly at the gate; sure enough, it had already begun to close.

Because their ti was very limited, Theodore finally decided to use his skills; he hoped they could be used even though he was currently using arrows.

Theodore used his Vanishing strike skill for his final attack and combined it with a spread arrow. Not caring what happened, Theodore hurriedly got into the car because their car had already passed the gate.

Theodore could hear that the iron gate scratched the roof of their car. Fortunately, within a short ti, their car could enter the base. Theodore could feel that the vehicle imdiately swayed after passing through the gate.

Theodore fell down with ragged breathing; even so, he patted the shoulder of the man who was his driver.

"Good job, at least you managed to get us through that gate," Theodore said in a hoarse voice. He really thought that they would be stuck outside this ti.

The man breathed a sigh of relief because he was just as scared. He tried as hard as he could to make the car go faster so they could pass through the gate, which was about to close completely.

When Theodore looked back, fortunately, only a few zombies had managed to sneak in, and the soldiers on guard imdiately resolved them.

Not only could Theodore see that their car door was opened from outside, and he could see Madeline was the one who did it, but he could also see Cassian, Chelsea, and Neville running behind Madeline towards her car.

"How are you?" Madeline imdiately asked to confirm Theodore’s condition.

"Very bad, I think I’m going to die," Theodore replied lazily.

Theodore got up and told Madeline to get out of his way; he wanted to get out of that damned car; he wouldn’t use it anymore, it seed.

"You better ask your man. He looks very shocked." Theodore reminded Madeline about his n as he walked out of the car.

"That’s right!" Madeline imdiately turned around and checked the condition of her n.

anwhile, Theodore was being confronted by his three other friends. From their gazes alone, Theodore could already tell they were worried about him.

"What you’re doing is very dangerous. If the timing isn’t right, you could be locked out of the gate!" Cassian was worried when he saw that Theodore’s car behind him could barely enter the base.

"I still have other ways to escape, though," Theodore replied casually.

"You really are crazy. It’s a good thing Chelsea and I aren’t in on your crazy plan," Neville said with a shudder of horror.

"I was going to ask you to be the archer," Theodore replied, giving Neville a sharp look.

Neville quickly hid behind Cassian’s body, "Look, you always scare like that!" Neville pointed at Theodore in annoyance.

Theodore shook his hand lightly, no longer caring about Neville’s ramblings; he intended to return to his house; honestly, he was very tired.

"I’ll go back to my apartnt first," Theodore said.

However, Cassian stopped Theodore in his tracks, "Unfortunately, we can’t leave just yet because everyone new to the base has to quarantine first," Cassian explained while grimacing at how upset Theodore was.

"I know you’ve been dying to get back to your apartnt, but the captains won’t be happy if you leave now," Cassian continued later, as he could see Theodore was about to explode in anger.

Theodore finally sighed tiredly, "Then, where should we rest? Honestly, my hands are still shaking from constantly using that crossbow," Theodore said, showing his hands, which were shaking violently at the mont.

"Wow! I didn’t expect the effect on you to be this heavy either," Chelsea said when she saw Theodore’s shaking hands.

"That’s the side effect. My hands are even hard to move after wearing that crossbow for hours," Neville said while nodding his head, understanding the sight of Theodore’s hands.

"Hey! Focus on my question, where can we rest?" Theodore flicked his hand to regain the attention of his friends.

"Ah, that. You can follow . We need to go to the quarantine area by the wall," Cassian explained, and he imdiately guided the group to the quarantine area provided by the base.

When they arrived, Theodore could see that so of the people he had t on the streets were also there. It seed that the security inside the base had begun to tighten.

"It seems like sothing is going on inside the base for them to have such tight security," Theodore whispered to the others.

"I don’t know, but it looks like it," Cassian replied in a small voice.

Fortunately, so nurses and soldiers were already directing Theodore and the others, and they were led into a tent where they were only.

"They’re doing this to prevent the others from becoming zombies when one gets infected, huh?" Neville, realizing that there were only them there, imdiately made his guess.

"That’s most likely the case." Chelsea nodded her head in agreent.

Shortly after that conversation, Theodore and the others heard a commotion from outside, and they quickly ran out to see what was happening.

As they had said in the tent, there was soone who was infected and imdiately attacked several people nearby. Fortunately, the soldiers on guard were imdiately alert and killed the infected people.

"Damn! It turns out there really are infected among these people," Theodore said in surprise as he saw the commotion.

"No wonder the base asked us to quarantine first," Cassian replied with a shudder of horror.
