It took Theodore and the others a day to reach the warehouse where Cassian and Chelsea were trapped. When he got there, Theodore felt a pretty thick killing aura.
The atmosphere was very gloomy and creepy. Theodore wondered why Cassian and his group still decided to enter this warehouse when they had already felt an unpleasant atmosphere.
"Do you also have a bad feeling in this place?" Theodore decided to ask Neville, who was walking beside him.
With a troubled face, Neville nodded his head; he. He did not expect this place to turn out like this. When they first ca to it, the atmosphere was still not like this.
From behind ca the sound of many footsteps. When Theodore looked back, he could see Madeline and her group walking towards him and Neville.
"You’re such an asshole! Your car is too hard to follow!" Madeline imdiately scolded Theodore when he was near her.
"I’m sorry for making things difficult for you. It’s just that I wanted to shorten our ti on the road," Theodore replied, scratching his cheek awkwardly.
Hearing that, Madeline just sighed and shook her hand. She didn’t care about it anymore.
It was just that Madeline’s eyes had always been very alert to her surroundings; she also felt what Theodore felt before, or it could be said that even her group mbers could realize the gloomy atmosphere attached to this warehouse.
"I didn’t expect them to decide to enter this place," Madeline said while looking at the appearance of the warehouse from outside.
"It wasn’t like this when we first ca here," Neville quickly refuted Madeline’s statent.
"Then, why is it like this now?" Madeline turned to Neville and gave him a sharp look.
Seeing that Neville quickly hid behind Theodore’s body, he could not get used to Madeline’s creepy behaviour. He was also confused as to why this place suddenly beca like this.
"If it’s like this, then what should we do?" Neville also asked Theodore about this, but he dared not talk to Madeline anymore.
"Since the captain’s things are in there, we should go inside. I can only assu that the zombies inside will be very dangerous," Theodore said what he was currently thinking.
"Whether we want to or not, we still have to go inside that warehouse. Even if it ans risking our lives because these are the captain’s orders," Madeline replied seriously.
"Take it easy, boss. I’ve looked at our weapons inventory, it’s still enough to bring out our full strength."
"We’ll fight with you, boss!"
Madeline’s n were not deterred. They would still enter the warehouse following Madeline. Theodore, who saw that, was quite amazed because he didn’t expect that the n Madeline brought would be so loyal like that.
"Then let’s go in." Theodore invited the others to enter the warehouse.
But before that, Theodore turned to Neville and told him to go to the back row, knowing that the boy had no fighting skills.
"You go to the back, you can’t follow in front," said Theodore, telling Neville to move. Then Theodore turned to Madeline, "Please ask your n at the back to look after the boy," Theodore continued.
"No problem, my n will protect him." Madeline assigned two n at the back of the line to guard Neville.
"But ...."
Neville couldn’t finish his sentence when he saw Madeline looking at him and telling him to move. Reluctantly, Neville moved to the back.
At the front, Theodore and Madeline were on guard. Two people supported them in the middle, and the remaining two were guarded at the back with Neville. With such an arrangent, they began to enter the warehouse.
"Sis! There are zombies hiding in the warehouse. Be careful when going inside." From behind, Neville imdiately warned Theodore when he was about to open the rusty warehouse door.
Because this was a critical mont for them, Theodore also imdiately activated his Area of Protection skill so that he and the people within the scope of this skill would not be hit by any attacks directed at them.
With the information from Neville, Theodore opened the warehouse door carefully. Amidst the silence surrounding them, a creaking sound of rusting tal ca as Theodore pushed the door open.
"Help check around," Theodore said in a small voice that echoed as they walked into the warehouse.
The already tense atmosphere was even tensioner inside the warehouse. If they couldn’t help it, people would vomit from the pressure of the atmosphere.
"Damn, it’s worse here." Even people like Madeline complained about this.
Theodore also had yet to learn why this warehouse had beco like this. Theodore suspected sothing was wrong here; zombies had evolved, or sothing else had happened.
Whatever happened, Theodore knew that it was not good and made the atmosphere around this warehouse tense like this.
Then, amid that tranquillity, Theodore was suddenly surprised by the systsuddenly em’s notification. The System detects presence that could threaten the host]
Theodore’s heart raced faster when he heard the notification from the System. He didn’t expect the System to warn him like this. Theodore was curious about what kind of creature was in this place.
With slow steps, they continued to walk forward while remaining aware of their surroundings. Weapons were already ready in each of their hands.
In the silence, there was suddenly a gunshot from the back, then continued with the voice of one of Madeline’s n shouting to warn them all.
"Everyone upstairs!"
All of them quickly looked up and saw a zombie that looked like a lizard sohow on the warehouse’s roof. The people who saw the scene beca very shocked.
They did not expect to see such a strange zombie figure; even Theodore did not expect such a zombie. In fact, it was the first ti Theodore had ever seen a zombie that looked like that.
"Oh my! What is that disgusting creature?!" Madeline was in complete shock when she saw what was up there.
Not waiting for them to react, the zombies were seen screaming, and the zombies below began to move quickly towards Theodore and the others.
The sound of gunfire began to be heard deafeningly in the warehouse; Theodore did not stop to swing his sword to decapitate the zombies coming towards him.
Among the many zombies that ran towards them were many who also had strength. Theodore finally knew why Cassian’s group could lose badly against the zombies in this warehouse.
