In the past few days, the base has been quite excited because the food provided in the cafeteria of their main headquarters is getting smaller, and the variety of side dishes there is also getting smaller. In fact, people would now only receive bread with a small portion of side dishes.

Rumors that the base was running low on food supplies were becoming more and more prevalent. In addition, because of the riots caused by the zombies at that ti, the population in the base also decreased.

About a quarter of the base’s population was lost due to the zombie attack. However, this was exceptionally good for the base because the number of people could have extended its food supply.

However, this problem also created a new issue for the base. After all, the base’s source of strength is its population inside.

If only a few people were there, they would lack the labor to expand the base. No matter how much the base needs labor, even now, the superiors are telling the people in the base to leave.

The latest announcent given by the base to its residents is that they can create groups to travel outside the base. The loot obtained by each group will belong to them. The base will only take 20% of the goods they bring to the base.

Not only that, the base will also provide credit for anyone who wants to go outside the base, although the amount of credit is less than if they take a job to work for the base.

Hearing the announcent, many people were interested in the plan, and for the past few days, the base’s streets have been crowded with people trying to create their own groups.

Many people were interested in this announcent because more and more people were awakening to power, and they thought their chances of surviving in this harsh world were slim if they went out directly outside the base to gather their own supplies.

The base specified that a group should have at least 10 mbers. When they had gathered 10 people, then they could leave the base.

When he heard the announcent, Theodore knew that the military was planning to obtain information about the alleged evolution of zombies.

Honestly, Theodore was also quite interested in creating his own group. It’s just that he doesn’t need more mbers to make a group.

Theodore intends to invite Roxanne and Geoffrey to join him; even so, they need 7 other people to make a group that is allowed to leave the base.

Not to ntion, Theodore hadn’t said anything to either of them about his plans. That’s why Theodore stood in front of Roxanne’s apartnt door.

Soon, Theodore heard the sound of the door being opened, and then Geoffrey’s cheerful face appeared from behind the door.

"It’s you, sis. What are you doing here, sis?" Geoffrey tilted his head curiously about why Theodore had co to his apartnt.

"There’s sothing I want to talk to you two about, so can I co inside?" Theodore spoke with his usual serious face.

Geoffrey imdiately invited Theodore into his apartnt and took him to the living room. Then, he hurriedly called his older sister and told her Theodore had co.

When Geoffrey returned, he was with Roxanne, who walked behind him, wearing a thick jacket over her shoulders.

"Geoffrey said you wanted to talk to us about sothing?" Roxanne seated herself on the sofa opposite Theodore.

Following her sister, Geoffrey sat beside his sister and focused on what Theodore would tell them.

"Yes. I’m sure you guys have seen the announcent issued by the military, right?" Theodore started his conversation by talking about the announcent distributed by the military so that he could hear what they thought.

"We have seen it. I’m actually looking forward to going out to the base," said Geoffrey, who was silent when his sister was there.

"I’m tired of hearing Geoffrey wanting to go off base. It’s just that it will be challenging for us to make a group," Roxanne replied while glancing at Theodore.

"That’s why I’m here. I want to make a group to go outside the base," said Theodore, finally explaining why he had co to the two people.

Roxanne smiled when she heard Theodore’s words; she had expected Theodore to invite them. And, of course, Roxanne would gladly join the group.

"I don’t mind joining you, and neither does Geoffrey. It’s just that, aren’t we still short of people to go off base?" Roxanne also realized they were still short of people to go off base.

"That’s the problem. For now, I’m thinking of asking for help from people who are also looking for group mbers; we don’t need to join them; just hitch a ride to leave the base. What do you think?" Theodore was already thinking of cooperating with other groups that were also short of people.

Trusting others was complicated in an apocalyptic world like this, so Theodore did not intend to look for group mbers from outside because he did not trust them.

So Theodore only intended to join other groups so that they could leave the base. Once they were outside the base, they split up and did their own thing.

For now, that was the solution Theodore had in mind, although he was thinking of still looking for soone he could trust and invite him to join his group. It would be advantageous if Theodore could find soone with power.

But that was just a long-term plan that Theodore had in mind; for now, he just couldn’t trust anyone.

"Would the military allow sothing like that?" Roxanne was a little worried about the military, which might not approve of their thods.

"I don’t think they will. They also need people to go outside the base, so for now, the regulations won’t be that strict," Theodore explained about his suspicions towards the military.

"Then I don’t mind using your thod. When do you think we’ll leave?" After hearing Theodore’s explanation, Roxanne had no objections.

"I think it looks like we can leave tomorrow. But we can go today to look for a group willing to go with us," Theodore replied later.

"That’s right, we must find another group to accompany us. Then let’s walk the streets today." Roxanne nodded her head in agreent with Theodore’s plan.

"We’re finally going again!" Geoffrey, who had been silent all this ti, finally spoke up, looking excited about their plan.

Finally, the three of them went down to the ground floor lobby and the streets to look for other groups willing to help each other with them.

When they reached the streets around the military base, they saw many people looking for people to join their group.
