After leaving the house, Su Xian’er stood at the doorstep for quite a while, unable to resist looking back at the tightly closed door.

But even after waiting for a long ti, the door remained firmly shut, and she ultimately felt disappointed!

She let out a self-deprecating chuckle!

What was she still hoping for? She had already experienced so many disappointnts, a few more wouldn’t make much difference!

Raising her head, she straightened her clothes, and then strode away.

The sound of her footsteps gradually faded, the wailing cries of Lui Muyi grew fainter, and his face showed confusion before he eventually stared into the void, as if he saw Su Pan’er smiling like a blooming flower standing there, waving at him...

Su Xian’er stood outside the window, looking at the house which showed no signs of movent.

The maidservants keeping watch at the door eyed her warily, ready to shout if she ca any closer.

Su Xian’er didn’t approach, but instead took a few steps back, silently retreating behind the door and stood quietly, lost in her own thoughts.

It seed but a mont when, accompanied by the crowing of the rooster, daylight broke.

With her eyes red from lack of sleep, Su Xian’er did not know whether to feel happy or disappointed.

When she dragged her stiff legs back to her room, she looked up and t Lui Muyi’s mocking eyes. She let out a scream and lunged at him.

"Lui Muyi! Frankly speaking, I’m going to fight you to the death!"

"Stop it, you crazy woman!"

The war between husband and wife began again.

Su Pan’er had already gotten up by this ti and naturally heard the sounds of the fight from the other side, but she didn’t care in the least and leisurely went about her morning routine, then went out the door, picking up the already awake Little Yanyan.

Little Yanyan slept very well at night, usually deep enough that not even thunder would wake her.

Now, hearing the commotion from the other side, she looked over curiously.

"Mother, why is Aunt Wu fighting with Fifth Uncle-in-law?"

Su Pan’er found it amusing, "You’re just a child, how do you know that Aunt Wu is fighting with Fifth Uncle-in-law?"

"Of course, Aunt Wu is beating Fifth Uncle-in-law, I saw it last ti! Aunt Wu is so fierce when she hits people..."

Little Yanyan shrank her neck timidly.

But Su Pan’er did not say much, just gently stroked Little Yanyan’s head.

"Fighting is not good, rember! You should never start trouble. But if anyone dares to bully you, rember to give it back double. Understand?"

Inwardly, however, she was resolute!

Unexpectedly daring to corrupt her precious Little Yanyan, even thinking of laying hands on her man, they had provoked Su Pan’er’s wrath, to not take their lives was already rcy considering the years Su Family had raised her, sparing them once!

"Understood, Mother!"

Little Yanyan gave her a sweet smile, then buried her head and started eating her breakfast.

It was Qin Yi who dragged Lui Muyi out with him.

After going out, of course, he didn’t miss the opportunity to console and lecture him.

Su Pan’er listened silently, but she didn’t say a word.

After the al, Qin Yi and Lui Muyi left, leaving Su Xian’er behind without a second thought.

Grinding her teeth, Su Xian’er glared in the direction where the two n had disappeared, then turned around and t Su Pan’er’s eyes.

Su Pan’er just gave her a faint smile.

That smile made Su Xian’er’s heart feel uneasy, and without daring to linger any longer, she quickly packed her things and left.

Just as she stepped out of the village, Su Pan’er suddenly felt a sharp abdominal pain like beating drums and hastily searched around for a latrine.

But all around was the vast grassy plain; where could there be a latrine?

She had no choice but to find a relatively secluded spot and quickly squatted down.

After dealing with her pressing issue, she straightened her clothes and continued on her way. She had hardly walked half a mile when her stomach pains struck again. She had to squat once more. The repeated inconvenience almost resulted in her being caught by an old man, and she was so frightened that she ran back ho without even wiping her behind, lifting her skirt hem as she fled.

Because the Lui Family’s business was so successful, they had acquired a set of property in the county city.

The old woman watching the gate saw her own Lady rush towards the house and hurriedly put on a smile to welco her. But from afar, she could already sll the stench of manure and quickly covered her mouth.

"Lady..."

Before she could finish her sentence, she saw her own Lady with a flushed face rush through the gate, filling the entire yard with a "scent that wafted for miles."

That made the caretaker break into crooked laughter right away!

And she quickly spread word of the incident!

When Su Xian’er found out, she collapsed in fury!

But the ordeal wasn’t over yet!

It wasn’t enough that she had diarrhea; mysteriously and cunningly, a multitude of pimple-like red dots appeared all over her skin. These red dots were densely packed and itchy, itchier than one could bear!

She couldn’t stop scratching, but the more she scratched, the itchier it got, and the cycle continued...

It was unbearable!

Even soone as dull as she could realize by now that she had fallen for Su Pan’er’s tricks!

In a rush, she sought out a doctor for treatnt.

A bunch of bogus doctors prescribed a mountain of decoctions and ointnts, but the more she took them, the worse the red dots beca. Her entire skin swelled, making her too ashad to et anyone outside.

She had intended to settle accounts with Su Pan’er, but unexpectedly her previously supportive father-in-law, Lui Ming, sent soone with a ssage for her.

He told her to stay ho and "nurse her illness" and to stop causing trouble!

This was the first ti Lui Ming had ever criticized her. In the past, no matter how outrageous her behavior was, Lui Ming had never said a bad word about her. But now he had sent a servant to slap her face, and Su Xian’er was scared!

So she had no choice but to stay ho and "nurse her illness."

Upon hearing the news, Lui Ming sneered three tis, "In the past, out of consideration for her being Pan’er’s foolish younger sister, the old man held her in so esteem. Now that she has courted disaster by targeting her own people, she deserves to be taught a lesson!"

The old caretaker by his side was competent and said nothing in response to these words.

But before long, a few disciplinarian nannies were sent into Su Xian’er’s house to supervise her daily and teach her proper manners. Her skin was itching intolerably, and though she wanted to scratch, the disciplinarian nannies had her stand silently under the eaves with a basin of water, not allowing her to move at will.

To others, this might seem too easy, but for her, it felt like an eternity!

The disciplinarian nannies were not pleased.

"Lady, even your standing posture has flaws. It seems you need so strict training."

After that, she plunged into tornt and had no strength left to trouble Su Pan’er.

After enduring for a few days, she couldn’t take it anymore and sent a letter to Su Pan’er through soone. The letter was earnest, admitting her wrongdoings, and also apologized for betraying Qin Yi’s bottom price for the horse trade.

Only then did Su Pan’er learn the reason Lui Muyi had beaten Su Xian’er!

She trembled with anger imdiately!

"They say you can guard against a thief daily, but a thief within is hard to prevent! How true that is."

After considering, she thought, "Since Lui Muyi went as far as to strike her himself, yet wanted to let Su Xian’er live, so be it! I’ll give Big Brother Lui that much face. Those rashes were supposed to disappear on their own in a month. Well then, let her endure it like that! Whenever I’m no longer angry, that’s when I’ll help her cure it!"
