Su Pan’er instructed Qingwen: "Go bring little Yanyan over here, make sure she’s bundled up well. Also, have a young maidservant help you with the lantern. Be careful along the way, don’t accidentally hurt the child."

"Madam, rest assured, your servant will be careful and prudent."

Qingwen agreed and quickly left the courtyard.

Su Pan’er then ordered Uncle Xiao: "Have the kitchen prepare good food and wine, and add a few more pots of Silver Frost Charcoal, so it won’t be cold in the parlor."

Uncle Xiao hurriedly responded: "Old servant has already instructed the kitchen to prepare. As for the parlor, should old servant order the servants to heat the floor a bit more?"

Su Pan’er agreed: "That’s fine."

After sending Uncle Xiao off, she stood in the corridor waiting for Qingwen to bring Little Yanyan.

It wasn’t long before Qingwen brought Little Yanyan over.

"Mother——"

Little Yanyan saw her and imdiately made a joyful call, reaching out her little hands and feet for her to hold.

Wrapped in a cloak, she was dressed like a soft sticky rice ball, soft, glutinous, and fragrant, that Su Pan’er couldn’t resist taking her into her arms and planting a few kisses as she saw her.

"Good girl, Yanyan, give mommy a kiss. Mmm... Mmm... Now, call mommy——"

She carried and kissed her repeatedly before quickly walking into the room.

Just as she reached the door, she heard a suppressed coughing sound from inside.

"What’s happened to Brother Ye? Why is he coughing so hard?"

With the movent of the beaded curtains, Su Pan’er walked in with Little Yanyan. A wave of heat rushed towards them, Little Yanyan, unaccustod to the temperature change, sneezed twice in succession.

Qin Yi quickly ca over to take Little Yanyan: "I’ve been saying, Brother Ye always coughs so violently, but you kept saying he was fine. How strange!"

Ye Han coughed for a while longer, finally managed to stop, and waved his hand dismissively.

"It’s nothing; I just laughed so hard that I couldn’t breathe. Chest feels rather uncomfortable from all the coughing."

Su Pan’er was hearing Ye Han cough so hard for the first ti. Upon hearing his words, she imdiately said: "Should I make so cough syrup that helps get rid of phlegm to soothe your throat? Even a healthy person could have so, right?"

"No need, it’s not a big problem... Alright, you can prepare a dose then."

Ye Han suddenly changed his mind.

"Okay, when you return to the mansion later tonight, just take it with you."

Su Pan’er sat down next to Qin Yi’s right hand.

"Okay."

Ye Han picked up a handkerchief handed to him by a servant, wiped his hands and face clean, and his gaze landed on Little Yanyan, who was in Qin Yi’s arms. She was staring at him with wide, sparkling eyes, tilting her head.

Seeing Ye Han’s gaze, she was not shy but showed a broad smile instead, revealing her small teeth she had six of so far, cooing unceasingly, and incessantly moving her little hands and feet.

"Little Yanyan, let uncle hold you——"

Ye Han reached out his hand towards her.

Qin Yi looked smug: "Her? She is very shy around new people! I rember when I ca ho from settling accounts, she didn’t let hold her..."

Contrary to his expectations, Little Yanyan actually reached out her hand towards Ye Han.

Ye Han took her in his arms and turned triumphantly to Qin Yi, raising an eyebrow mocking him.

"Little Yanyan, call uncle quickly—— Call uncle, tell daddy that your uncle is not a stranger, we’re family, aren’t we?"

Little Yanyan wasn’t paying attention to Ye Han’s words. Her gaze was fixed on the beautiful jade at his waist. She stretched out her hand to point at the jade and continued cooing incessantly.

Looking at it, Ye Han felt a soft spot in his heart. He quickly removed the jade pendant and placed it in the hands of Little Yanyan.

"I didn’t bring any good gifts with when I left, so let Little Yanyan play with this jade."

Qin Yi was stunned, his mouth hanging open in shock. Never would he have expected that today, his own daughter would sha him in front of everyone!

He had just claid that she was shy around strangers, yet the next mont, he saw her letting soone else hold her in their arms, beaming as if she were the Drunk Buddha himself!

This little traitor who caused him to feel such a mix of anger and bitterness!

Su Pan’er, however, was laughing non-stop to one side. Sensing that Qin Yi’s face had turned rather grim, she hastily suppressed her giggles, her insides aching from all her laughter.

Luckily, Uncle Xiao saved Qin Yi.

Just as Qin Yi was unsure how to regain his composure, Uncle Xiao had already directed his servants to start serving the dishes.

"It’s just a child after all, it’s not worth giving her valuable things to play with. You should take it back."

Su Pan’er, while speaking, personally poured half a cup of wine for Ye Han: "Brother Ye, there’s still so of the ’Drunk Buddha’ wine you asked to bring back to the Mansion last ti. However, I heard your intense coughing; this wine, you should drink it lightly, just half a cup should do, don’t get greedy."

"Alright, if Younger Sister Pan’er says to drink less, then I will drink less."

Ye Han glanced at Qin Yi: "Just a little niece, what’s not worth it? If she likes it, I’d even move the entire Ye Family’s Mansion away for her!"

"She’s still so young, what will beco of her if she gets spoilt now?"

"Daughters should be raised lavishly to beco charming young ladies. Not like boys, spending all day learning about swords and guns and fighting."

After Ye Han finished speaking, he seed to realize that his words were inappropriate and hurried to add: "I was not referring to you."

Su Pan’er paused for a mont while pouring the wine, then shook her head in amusent.

If she didn’t know him well, she would have thought that he was teasing her.

But Qin Yi’s attention wasn’t focused on the jade pendant. He was staring at Su Pan’er with longing eyes while she pretended to be unaware and poured herself another full cup of wine before putting down the wine jar.

Qin Yi beca anxious and hastily reached out his hand to try to catch Su Pan’er’s hand. However, she skilfully dodged him.

"Pan’er..."

A pitiful sounding plea ca.

The next mont, a pair of chopsticks moved so vegetables into Qin Yi’s bowl: "Husband, are you hungry? The weather is cold now, you need to eat more." Su Pan’er’s smile was utterly captivating.

It made Qin Yi’s heart palpitate.

Husband...

She has never called him that before!

Left with no other choice, Qin Yi picked up the vegetables and put them into his mouth, slowly chewing.

"Husband, don’t you find the vegetables tasty?" The tone of Su Pan’er’s voice was slightly reproachful.

Imdiately, Qin Yi perked up: "Delicious! Absolutely delicious!"

"If it’s delicious then you should eat more."

With that, Su Pan’er put another spoonful of vegetables into his bowl.

Ye Han, who was playing with Little Yanyan, looked back and saw Qin Yi’s worried face, but he didn’t say anything.

Su Pan’er, however, got up and took Little Yanyan from him: "Brother Ye, don’t keep holding Little Yanyan. Hurry up and have so wine and food to warm your stomach. Co, give Yanyan to !"

As Little Yanyan was enjoying her ti in Ye Han’s arms, she was unwilling to let go even after Su Pan’er took her.

Su Pan’er hastily cooed at her: "It’s ti to eat, our ho’s Little Yanyan need to eat... You can’t be like soone, who doesn’t like to eat celery at all..." As she spoke, her gaze fell on a certain soone.
