With her face turned inward, she perked up her ears to listen to Qin Yi’s movents.

A series of rustling sounds ca from behind her, allowing Su Pan’er to easily discern each and every one of Qin Yi’s movents.

His movent when he covered her with the quilt, when he slowly lay flat and subsequently dragged his own quilt up, his adjustnt of the pillow, and soon after, his breathing gradually stabilized, slowly, tranquillity returned to the room.

Su Pan’er laid there silently listening, her heart bursting with anger!

Unable to contain herself, she abruptly turned around and pounced on Qin Yi, forcing him to no longer ignore her.

Qin Yi opened his drowsy eyes, and with their many years of martial training, his sight was naturally excellent. He could clearly see Su Pan’er’s pouting lips, and her eyes glaring at him in anger.

"Pan’er?"

He hastily reached out to hold her, looking at her with surprised eyes: "Pan’er, what’s wrong? Are you thirsty? I’ll have the servants bring up so warm water for you."

Saying this, he tried to climb up.

"I’m not thirsty!"

Su Pan’er responded grumpily, her facial expression not easing in the slightest.

"Is your quilt not warm enough? Would you like to request an additional large velvet quilt for you?"

Qin Yi’s voice was as concerned as always.

"I’m...not...cold!"

Su Pan’er enunciated each word; the words coming out of her mouth seed to be squeezed out from between her teeth.

But Su Pan’er was not one to be easily disheartened!

She imdiately tightened her grip on Qin Yi, deliberately made him unable to ignore her presence.

She ticked off each word, "I, Su Pan’er, have a husband, a natural warm heater, a large pillow. Why should I be hugging a quilt to sleep? Am I stuffed to the gills with nothing better to do?"

Against her expectations, Qin Yi suddenly laughed!

He readily embraced her, his face full of indulgence, as if soothing a little girl, gently patting her on the head.

"Alright, alright, alright! Your husband will be Pan’er’s warm heater, big pillow! Co here."

He said, and opened the silk quilt embroidered with Mandarin ducks playing in water amidst blossoming spring flowers, then carefully wrapped Su Pan’er in the quilt.

Their bodies were pressed up against each other again. Even though they were separated by their clothes, the warmth from Qin Yi’s body made Su Pan’er sigh in satisfaction. She autonomously found a comfortable position, snuggling into his arm.

"Yi, what’s happened to you? Are you feeling unwell sowhere?"

Su Pan’er asked gently, reaching out with her small hand and precisely taking Qin Yi’s pulse.

"I’m fine."

Qin Yi seed to be evading sothing, and hastily shook off her hand, saying in an anxious tone.

He sensed that his tone was rather harsh and hurriedly softened it, gently coaxing her: "Didn’t you say you wanted to go to Da Ci’en Temple to burn incense with Mrs. Zhang? How could you go looking tired? Be good, go to sleep."

Before Su Pan’er could speak again, he forcefully pulled up the silk quilt to cover her and held her in his embrace, quilt and all.

He held her so tightly, with such force that it seed as if he wanted to embed her into his body.

Faced with his rejection, Su Pan’er did not struggle, did not insist anymore, she wriggled out of his embrace, curled up, hugged the silk quilt and burrowed her head into it for warmth, refusing to show her face again.

Seeing her curl up into a ball, Qin Yi could tell from her body language that she was obviously feeling wronged. Alone there, just like a little puppy abandoned by its owner.

"What’s wrong? You have sothing on your mind?"

Qin Yi asked gently, his voice low and hoarse, the red in his eyes not yet faded. The words he forcibly restrained changed in tone the mont they left his mouth.
