Qin Hong cast his glance around and unavoidably t the eyes of Nanny Zhou and others. Then his gaze turned and fell upon Su Pan’er who was busying herself in the pharmacy, and his eyes instantaneously deepened imnsely.

"All of you, leave!"

He directly ordered Nanny Zhou and the others.

Nanny Zhou and Qingwen exchanged a glance, but didn’t move.

"Don’t make this young master say it for the third ti!"

Qin Hong’s voice carried his usual gentleness, but it didn’t hold a shred of warmth, like harsh icy blades scraping past.

Nanny Zhou and the others couldn’t prevent their bodies from trembling, but they defiantly clenched their teeth and remained standing in place, not moving at all.

However, Su Pan’er couldn’t stand by and issued a casual order to Nanny Zhou and the others who remained standing there obstinately: "I don’t need you here for the ti-being. All of you, leave!"

Left without any other choice, Nanny Zhou and the others bowed and retreated.

Before leaving, Nanny Zhou, still uneasy, carefully left a crack in the door. If there was any sound from within, they could rush in from the outside...

Her minor action naturally fell into Qin Hong’s eyes, and a trace of gloom flickered in his gaze.

"I really didn’t expect, your servants are truly loyal!"

Qin Hong spoke, stepping into the pharmacy as he did.

But Su Pan’er did not even lift her head: "Care begets care, natural loyalty from the servants. Young Master, surely you didn’t co today just to show interest in my servants?"

"Of course not."

Qin Hong’s face, already brimming with smiles, ward up even more.

"I finished handling my affairs today and was idle, so I ca to visit you, and Little Yanyan."

Su Pan’er suddenly lifted her head and shot him a sidelong glance, then imrsed herself back in grinding the dicinal ingredients on hand, a smirk curling at the corner of her mouth.

"How rare, so Young Master does indeed have tis when his affairs are settled."

Currently, with the Great Zhou Dynasty in turmoil, he was the eldest son who had rebelled under the banner of "righteousness destroys relatives". Ignoring the various forces eyeing him closely, even keeping his nurous followers appeased would take a considerable amount of ti, wouldn’t it? He dared to claim he was idle, it wasn’t raining red rain, was it?!

"Indeed, very rare!"

Qin Hong, with a deanor of not understanding the sarcasm in Su Pan’er’s words, nodded as if taking it as a complint.

Su Pan’er pursed her lips, did not speak any more, and poured the ground dicine from the dicine jar onto a herbal paper, continuing to handle the next herb.

Qin Hong’s grin persevered, as he boldly placed himself in a chair without an invitation. He propped his head with his hand, leaning against the edge of the table, watching Su Pan’er hustle and bustle. His gaze trailed her figure as she moved back and forth.

When Su Pan’er finished preparing the dicine prescription, he still maintained the sa position, not showing any sign of intending to move.

Being stared at like this, and seeing his lack of intention to leave, Su Pan’er didn’t have the patience to drag it out with him.

"Speak up! What is the purpose of your visit today?"

"Really, nothing!"

Qin Hong’s tone was casual: "I just ca to see whether you were in need of anything here, so that I could have it delivered."

It was unknown when he began using the first-person term "I" in front of her, and refused to put on airs of the eldest son anymore.

"This is a manor after all; whether it’s firewood, rice, oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and tea, they have everything in stock. It’s generous of the eldest son to personally make a trip here and take this into consideration. I am truly flattered!"

"You don’t need to be flattered, you saved my life back then, these are all things you deserve."

Qin Hong could always take the sarcasm in her words as a complint!

Su Pan’er rolled her eyes forcefully!

Can this man not understand the underlying aning in her words?

"Alright! Now that the eldest son has taken a look and finished his queries, may I ask whether you could leave? Your presence here is seriously interfering with my dicine preparation!"

"No rush, it’s still early."

Seeing the impatience in Su Pan’er’s eyes, Qin Hong’s smile beca even brighter!

"Actually, I ca today because I have so news about grandfather emperor, and wanted to chat with you."

About His Majesty?

Su Pan’er was instantly energized, so much so that she didn’t care about the dicine she was currently mixing, and hastily sat across from Qin Hong: "Yes, quickly speak up, what news do you have?"

He knew that as long as the topic was about this, Su Pan’er would definitely be interested!

At this mont, Qin Hong was not in a hurry to speak, but leaned back leisurely on the chair.

"I heard, your roast pork skills are very good? It’s not just crispy on the outside, but tender on the inside, and the taste is full?"

"....."

What did he an by this?

Su Pan’er’s brows tightly furrowed.

Not long after, inside the manor’s parlor, thick curtains were pulled down on all four sides to block the howling cold wind from outside. Several silver charcoal braziers burning vigorously were placed around, making the parlor warm as spring.

In Su Pan’er’s hands, she was rapidly turning the at skewers, making them heat more evenly.

A rich aroma emanated from the at skewers.

Across from Su Pan’er, Qin Hong also held a skewer for roasting, but the roast on his skewer was evidently unevenly heated. So parts were charred, incomparable with the roast on Su Pan’er’s skewer.

"Unexpectedly, Pan’er you have such a good skill; not only are the at slices of uniform size, but even the control over the heat is top-notch, no wonder the Eighth Emperor Uncle repeatedly praised you and often ntioned this matter."

Qin Hong was truly marvelling, increasingly focusing on the golden-brown roast in Su Pan’er’s hand.

So it was Fei’er who’d leaked it out!

She had been wondering how he found out about this!

Seeing that the roast on her skewer was fully cooked, crisp on the outside and tender inside, golden in color and emanating a rich aty aroma, Su Pan’er was so satisfied that she kept nodding her head. She took a bite of the skewer, finishing it in two or three bites.

Only then did she casually wipe her mouth, blinked her large, clear eyes, and wore an innocent look on her face.

"Young Master, now can you tell what you ant by what you said earlier?"

The corner of Qin Hong’s mouth involuntarily twitched a couple of tis.

He had originally thought that Su Pan’er would offer him the roast she was holding, but he never thought that the fully roasted skewer would end up inside her stomach.

Considering the roasted skewers she made earlier, and then looking at his own skewer which was obviously burnt, he threw it into the fire pit, but it unexpectedly raised a thick plu of smoke, causing his eyes to beco teary and setting him off into a round of coughing.

The resentnt in his heart from not being able to eat the roast intensified!

"Pan’er, I also want to eat the roast!"

Now that he had thrown his skewer into the fire pit, there was no more roast, she should at least give him one to eat!

Su Pan’er didn’t answer, but simply waved the remaining skewers in her hand, her smile on her face didn’t diminish at all.
