Su Pan’er still had her doubts.
"What is the piglet saying?"
Qin Yi asked curiously.
"It says that the water-avoiding beads have to be removed in order to unlock the treasure."
Su Pan’er replied with a slight frown.
After staring for a while, Qin Yi slowly said, "It should indeed be so. Everything else here is natural, only this Nine Halls-Eight Trigrams Array Formation was made by human hands. The thod to unlock the treasure should be in it."
Makes sense! It seems the piglet is telling the truth.
Su Pan’er lifted her head and squinted at the Nine Halls-Eight Trigrams Array Formation. After a while, she said word by word, "Qin Yi, to break this formation, we have to remove the water-avoiding beads at the sa ti within one incense stick of ti. Let’s do it together. We must be quick."
"Ok!"
Qin Yi nodded.
Finally, they were about to start. Finally, they could get the treasure! The piglet was so happy that its mouth almost stretched to the back of its ears.
Qin Yi and Su Pan’er looked at each other and nodded at the sa ti.
Both of them leaped up like pole-vaulters on dry land, going straight for the water-avoiding beads on the heart of the array formation.
Hands and feet flew as they swiftly dug out the water-avoiding beads.
As the water-avoiding beads were removed, there ca a rumbling sound from around the cave, and the wall of water seed to be stirred, waves cresting.
When the last water-avoiding bead was removed by Qin Yi, it was like a bolt from the blue! The wall of water, blocked by the formation ford by the water-avoiding beads, seed to lose its montum and poured into the cave!
Swoosh... Boom!
The sound was frightening!
Su Pan’er and Qin Yi landed, looking at each other.
Before they could react, the powerful flow of water, unstoppable, rapidly engulfed everything that was vacant! The stalactites, stone bamboo shoots, stone curtains that have been in the cave for countless years were hit by the flood peak, making a series of rumbling explosions! This was far more terrifying than a flash flood!
Indeed, the consequences of removing the water-avoiding beads were astonishing, but the stone walls in the cave remained motionless.
Could it be a wrong judgent, or is there more to it?
However, in view of the current situation, it seems they could only give up.
Su Pan’er and Qin Yi, with their brows furrowed, quickly picked up the rascal pig and Ah Hwa, leaping up and moving swiftly towards the sunshine from the top of the cave.

As they watched the rising water level quickly filling up beneath their feet with no counterasures, they looked at each other and forced a smile.
The water level was rising rapidly, and soon it would reach their hiding spot.

The rascal pig cried out, staring at the water level rising rapidly in the cave.
"Pan’er, save . I’m going to be drowned. Save , Pan’er!"
"Get off!"
A feeling of extre urgency filled Su Pan’er’s heart. Could their speculation be wrong?
The tug from her back threw her into a muddle, and she forcibly shook off the rascal pig clinging to her back! Despite trying several tis, she failed to remove it.
"This is not right! Why is nothing like what I imagined?"
Qin Yi roared.
He grabbed Ah Hwa, who was almost swept away by the flood peak, and quickly moved towards higher ground with the lay of the land.
The surrounding roar drowned out Qin Yi’s voice, making it impossible for Su Pan’er to make out his words. As her gaze fell on his climbing movent, she instantly understood his intentions.
She grabbed the rascal pig’s large fan-shaped ears and pulled it off her back.
"Hurry! Aren’t you good at swimming? Follow us and get out now, quick!"
She urgently conveyed with her inner voice.
The rascal pig looked back at the rising water level in the cave and shook its head resolutely.
"No, I don’t want to! Such a huge flood, I don’t want to swim. If I fall in, I probably won’t even make a ripple, it’s too scary!"
"Scary my a**!"
Su Pan’er was furious. She slapped him a couple of tis: "Get up there now! What are you clinging to my head for? How am I supposed to see the way? I haven’t lived enough yet, I want to live longer! Hurry! Quick!"
The rascal pig reluctantly adjusted its position but still clung to her tightly, grasping her clothes firmly.
Su Pan’er saw that their hiding place was about to be inundated by water and couldn’t afford to nitpick with the rascal pig anymore. She quickly climbed towards the top of the path where Qin Yi had gone before.
One of them carrying a dog, and the other holding a pig, they quickly climbed to the top of the cave!
A massive current of water was gathering below them!
The end of the road was the highest point of the cave, there was nowhere else to go!
Both of them instinctively looked at each other and saw worry, guilt, and self-bla in each other’s eyes.
"It’s all my fault, if I hadn’t insisted that removing the water-avoiding beads was the key to unlocking the treasure, this wouldn’t have..."
Qin Yi looked remorseful.
"Fool, how could I bla you for this!"
Su Pan’er laughed softly and shook her head: "I also agreed with your view at that ti. This is not your fault. Maybe, it is an arrangent by heaven, allowing us to walk through such wonderful days hand in hand."
Tears of emotion shimred in Qin Yi’s eyes. Without saying a word, he gently held Pan’er’s hand and held her close.
"I am glad, glad that we could et, get to know each other, and understand each other. From the start of our unwilling encounters to now! Pan’er, I like you. Thousands of words cannot express my feelings for you deep in my heart. I love you, but I have always hesitated to admit it because I always think love is not only about saying it but also a commitnt. Once I am sure of my love, it is a lifeti’s commitnt. If I could win your heart, we could stay together ’til death parts us."
A look, a greeting, an embrace!
The simplest acts carried profound emotions. The two embraced each other, only wishing to love each other forever.
"Don’t be afraid! You said it today, it’s no different!’"
Su Pan’er laughed!
Their eyes t, and the only thing they saw were each other.
At this mont, they were the only ones in each other’s eyes, nothing else mattered.
"’If we were in heaven, I wish we were birds of the sa feather. If on earth, I wish we were branches on the sa tree. Pan’er, you and I cannot live at the sa ti, but we can die at the sa ti, and we can be buried in the sa grave. This must be the fortune I accumulated in my previous lives!’"
"’If you are not going to abandon , I will accompany you till death. I, Su Pan’er, am truly fortunate for three lifetis to et you in this life!’
No other words were needed in such a situation. The two embraced tightly.
Ah Hwa whimpered quietly and occasionally turned to look at the approaching flood peak.
The rascal pig’s mouth twisted to the side.
Oh, my God! How cheesy! It made , pig grandpa, shed goosebumps all over!
