Old Clan Leader and the other elders’ conversation was unknown to Su Pan’er, who was busy back at ho.
Busy drawing plans during the day and cultivating at night, hardly a mont of free ti to herself.
Qin Yi was eager to spend more intimate monts with her, hoping to see their relationship blossom.
But either she was cultivating or earnestly drawing on her papers, or else she would occasionally trek up the mountain; her days were exceedingly fulfilling.
He picked up one of her layouts and studied it for a long ti, only able to discern they were house layouts. Yet they differed significantly from the houses in the village, giving off a peculiar, but harmonious feeling.
As for what these plans would actually be used for, he had no clue. Every ti he asked her, she would just smile and not respond, seeming quite mysterious.
The days hurried by, these tis were exceptionally peaceful and tranquil.
During this ti, Overlord Tiger visited once. When he left last ti, Su Pan’er had given him so of the finest dicinal ingredients to deliver to Old Xue. This ti, Overlord Tiger ca to deliver silver ingots.
Looking at the shining silver ingots on the table, Su Pan’er was stunned for a mont before she headed out to find the Old Clan Leader, planning to buy so good farmland.
The Clan Leader happily agreed, promising to get back to her in a few days.
After several days of hard work, Su Pan’er revised her plans several tis and finally completed dozens of layouts. Looking at them with a triumphant expression, Su Pan’er was then struck by a problem.
At the mont, she didn’t even know where the skilled craftsn were, how was she supposed to find them to construct the houses?
Was she supposed to build them herself?
She certainly had no masochistic tendencies.
Pondering for a while, she suddenly thought of Old Cheng from the earthenware store at the foot of the mountain, and her eyes suddenly brightened up!
Old Cheng was a doorkeeper for the Valley of Ghosts. According to his words, he might as well be the elder from a branch of the Valley of Ghosts. There were many skilled craftsn in the Valley of Ghosts, and with his help, building the house would beco much easier.
Making up her mind, Su Pan’er returned to her room to pack so stuff, then hurriedly rushed out of the house.
Qin Yi stopped her with a bewildered look on his face, "Pan’er, where are you going?"
Su Pan’er turned back and smiled slightly, "Do you want to co along? If you do, then follow ."
Qin Yi naturally didn’t hesitate and followed her.
The two of them, one after the other, passed through the village and headed towards the village entrance.
Along the way they occasionally encountered so villagers, who would point and whisper about them with strange expressions.
Qin Yi occasionally turned back and glanced at them, but as soon as he did, they would imdiately feign innocence and stop their whispering.
It was quite strange.
Su Pan’er and Qin Yi exchanged a look, both seeing confusion in each other’s eyes.
The earthenware store at the T-junction was just the sa as before, even the old n playing chess across the street hadn’t changed.
Su Pan’er brought Qin Yi in front of the shop and gently knocked on the half-open door.
Before long, a light sound of footsteps ca from inside
"You’ve finally co."
Along with the voice, Old Cheng appeared in front of them, "Co in. I’ve been waiting for you for a long ti."
"Thank you, Old Cheng."
Su Pan’er gave a bow, accompanied by Qin Yi and they followed Old Cheng into the inner room.
Different from last ti at the earthenware shop, Old Cheng led the two through the shop and directly into the back hall. It was filled with nurous clay pots of various shapes and so exceptionally exquisite glazed tiles.
"Co in and make yourselves comfortable. All these are treasures, the result of my many years of collection."
Seemingly noticing Su Pan’er’s gaze, a glint flashed in his eyes and he chuckled, stroking his beard.
"Old Cheng is truly extraordinary. Just one or two of these treasures would be enough for an ordinary family to live for a lifeti."
Su Pan’er was sowhat surprised, she hadn’t expected Old Cheng to have such an extensive collection.
"These are just trinkets, rare as they may be, they’re still material possessions after all. If you like them, feel free to pick one or two when you leave."
Old Cheng was not very caring and waved his hand, then sat down at the head of the table, "By the way, have you seen your master recently? What did he say? Did you ntion , Old Cheng, to him?"
"Thank you for your kindness, Old Cheng, I am unworthy."
Su Pan’er thanked him with an apologetic look, "However, my master always cos and goes without a trace. I’ve tried to contact him, but up until now, I have received no news."
"That doesn’t matter, we will talk when you can get in touch with him."
Old Cheng said while the look of disappointnt on his face was particularly obvious, "By the way, last ti you said you wanted a purple-clay pot?"
At these words, Su Pan’er’s eyes lit up!
"Indeed! Old Cheng, as you know, the cultivation of our sect’s Inner Strength requires tempering the body. In the past, I couldn’t find a suitable container, so I’ve been delaying it until now. Therefore..."
Old Cheng nodded his head.
"It’s only natural that I understand this matter. I, of course, have such a purple-clay pot. However, that thing is quite large. Even if you were to take it ho, it wouldn’t fit in your house. Have you thought of a proper way to place it?"
Was that the case?
Su Pan’er pondered for a while, then suddenly thought of a suitable place. Her eyes twinkled, "No worries, I’ve got a clever solution."
Old Cheng laughed heartily.
"That’s good then. If you want it, you can take it anyti."
Su Pan’er was overjoyed! She was quick to give her thanks, "Thank you very much, Old Cheng! But about the purple-clay pot..."
"Oh! Look at my mory. Co, follow !"
Old Cheng stood up and led them out from the side gate of the courtyard.
Their eyes lit up when they saw the spacious courtyard. Quite a few people in the courtyard greeted Old Cheng in passing, and also looked at Su Pan’er and Qin Yi with curious eyes.
Old Cheng responded with a nod each ti, leading them all the way to the most secluded part and pointing to the vacant area, "Look, that’s the one."
Following the direction Old Cheng was pointing at, the two of them took a close look.
In front of them, there was a shrine set on the open ground. Smoke was swirling from the incense burner in front of the shrine, and there was nothing else around. Where was the purple-clay pot they were looking for?
Su Pan’er’s eyebrows knitted slightly, "Old Cheng, are you... joking with ?"
"Old Cheng, where’s the purple-clay pot? You must have made a mistake," Qin Yi quickly scanned the surroundings.
"Where on earth are your eyes looking? Isn’t it sitting right there in plain sight!"
Old Cheng pointed up at the altar.
Su Pan’er did not recognize who was carved on the shrine.
Following down from the shrine was a sacrificial table made of Phoebe zhennan wood, and also...
"That large vat with incense and candles in it isn’t made of purple-clay! It’s right before your eyes, but your eyes are covered by a leaf and you can’t see Mount Tai!"
Only then did Su Pan’er and Qin Yi’s gaze fall upon the large vat. On closer inspection, wasn’t that the purple-clay pot she had been searching for everywhere!
Of course, that was a purple-clay pot magnified countless tis!
