Shuang’er was swiftly setting the food on the table, "Third Auntie, you need to eat quickly. Third Uncle made sure to remind again and again before he left, that I had to serve you food."

"He went out?" Su Pan’er asked curiously.

"Yes! He left with your basket backpack. I think he’s gone to gather wild vegetables!"

I see.

Su Pan’er furrowed her eyebrows slightly, sitting down on a stool to begin eating.

Breakfast was simple, leftover at from yesterday stewed with soybeans, tender to the bite, with rich broth, clearly prepared with Ke’er in mind. There was also stir-fried offal with water celery, and wild vegetable soup.

Who would’ve thought, it’s really quite surprising, that such a big man as Qin Yi could actually cook!

Su Pan’er devoured her food with utmost speed, sweeping everything in front of her into her stomach.

"Third Auntie, I’ll wash the dishes, you go rest first."

Shuang’er again hurried over to seize the chore!

Su Pan’er couldn’t help but praise: "Our Shuang’er is truly capable!"

"Shuang’er is used to doing these chores."

Shuang’er was especially pleased: "Moreover, Third Uncle made sure to instruct before he left that I must absolutely not allow you to enter the kitchen and cause a riot! He doesn’t want to co back to find the kitchen gone."

Having said that, Shuang’er picked up the dishes and headed to the kitchen.

Su Pan’er was left gobsmacked!

Rembering past glories of Original Body made her laugh involuntarily.

That was a job well done by the Original Body! Although she was not skilled in cooking, she had no problems preparing simple als.

Not only that, her specialty, a whole roast lamb, had received endless praises from her comrades who she faced life and death with in her past life!

Especially him!

Every ti they had roast lamb, he would always be the first to dive in, invariably ending up with his mouth slick with grease...

Thinking of him, the smile on Su Pan’er’s face faded, and she let out a long sigh.

She was lost in her own thoughts.

Her sleeve was suddenly tugged: "Fourth Sister, Fourth Sister what are you thinking about? Ke’er has been calling you for ages but you won’t answer."

Su Ke didn’t like his Fourth Sister like this, it always made him feel as though she was insubstantial, as if she would vanish from before his eyes.

"Fourth Sister is lost in thought."

Su Pan’er patted his hand, stood up to move the dicinal herbs that needed to be dried out into the sun in the backyard.

After laying out the dicinal herbs, she started preparing dicine for Qin Yi.

The prescription given by Old Xue was etched in her mory. Thinking over it, she quickly re-arranged the combination of herbs in her mind, reducing an unnecessary herb, instead adding three seemingly unrelated ones.

Old Xue’s prescription was relatively conservative and lacked so aggressiveness. Following his prescription, it would indeed take half a year to fully recover.

But after she made modifications, coupled with the breathing technique Qin Yi was currently practicing, along with the acupuncture thod of her Inner Power Heart thod, she was confident she could make him lively and vigorous within a maximum of two months.

When she had picked the herbs, Shuang’er ca over.

"Third Auntie, is this dicine to be brewed? Leave it to Shuang’er. Shuang’er knows how to brew dicine. I used to help brew Third Uncle’s dicine."

Indeed, the children of poor families are accustod to taking charge earlier!

Su Pan’er patted her affectionately on the shoulder: "Our Shuang’er is truly capable! You help brew the dicine, and later in the evening Third Auntie will bring you sothing tasty! Rember, these herbs are quite valuable. First, use gentle heat, then turn it up to high, after that..."

After giving instructions to Shuang’er, Su Pan’er turned and walked out of the door.

Although she was still missing the illusion grass needed for her muscle-strengthening dicine, she decided to give it a try anyway.

The muscle-strengthening decoction caused a pain that reached into the bone marrow, a pain so severe that it made one wish to die instantly! The purpose of the illusion grass was to alleviate the pain.

Even with the illusion grass, many people couldn’t handle the pain and gave up halfway, thus resulting in an incomplete process. So died from the pain. Without the illusion grass, she was unsure if she could endure the process.

After thinking through it all, Su Pan’er made a resolute decision.

She would try anyway!

Cultivating the Internal Strength thod to strengthen her body and prolong her life was already an act against the natural order. Every progress she made was a life-and-death situation, wasn’t it?

However, it wasn’t sothing she could just do on a whim.

She needed to prepare a large wooden barrel and a dicinal cauldron.

But it was hard to find a dicinal cauldron; replacing it with a large iron pot would cause much of the dicine’s potency to be lost. After much deliberation, she decided to go and find a purple clay pot.

Walking along the village path, either the villagers greeted her respectfully, or they dodged her in fear. Although their reactions were strange, Su Pan’er didn’t care and walked confidently through the village.

Her destination was the earthenware shop beside the big road outside the village.

A few households were located at this junction, one selling groceries, another refreshnts. A group of elderly people playing chess gathered at the entrance, making a commotion. Beside them was a store selling earthenware and tiles. She saw it the last ti she returned from the market.

The shop was small, with so ssy earthenware and tiles arranged at the entrance.

She looked around but didn’t see the shop owner. Just when she was about to start looking for him, a voice ca from outside: "What do you want?"

Su Pan’er turned around and saw an old man, his body black as coal, smiling at her.

"Are you the owner of this shop?"

Su Pan’er asked confidently.

"Certainly I am. What do you want to buy? Be it earthenware or tiles, we provide it all at a fair price." He was still grinning from ear to ear.

Without any hesitation, Su Pan’er spoke up: "I need a purple clay pot, the larger the better. Do you have it here?"

The smile froze on the old man’s face: "You must be joking! Such an item is not sothing I can make here! We don’t have it!"

He waved his hands dismissively and was about to go back inside.

"Wait," Su Pan’er quickly stopped him. She took out a small red cloth parcel from her bosom and handed it to him.

"I’m seriously in need of a large purple clay pot. As long as you have it, the price is negotiable. I’ll give you this upfront as a token of my sincerity, though it’s not worth much. If you happen to get one, just find at Qin Yi’s house behind Luoyan Village."

After saying this, Su Pan’er turned around and left without waiting for the stunned old man’s reply.

The old man, holding the red parcel, did not move for a long ti.

Inside the parcel was a decades-old wild mountain ginseng!

It was worth at least ten taels of silver!

It’s not that she had loads of money to spend, but she had noticed sothing during her earlier perusal. There were nurous broken earthenware and tiles stacked in the courtyard, among which there were fragnts of purple clay. Right next to the pile of broken stuff was a tall and beautiful purple clay pot, which was used to plant a small pine, had a chip missing!

From what Su Pan’er could see, the quality of this purple clay pot was excellent.

Even if the old man couldn’t produce another purple clay pot, it wouldn’t be bad to take the chipped one!

When she got to the entrance, Su Pan’er couldn’t resist turning around to look at the small pine in the corner of the wall one more ti.
