Along the way, Nao talked a lot but eventually fell into silence.
She wasn’t sure if she was in love, but she realized she was getting attached now. If Naruto suddenly went to the front lines one day, she would probably have a hard ti sleeping well.
Perhaps, in her heart, the feeling of wanting to claim him as her own was growing stronger and stronger. But Naruto, on the other hand, only seed to enjoy chatting and never displayed any possessive desires.
This left her feeling uncertain.
She glanced up at Naruto.
At that mont, Naruto suddenly stopped, turned toward her, and without saying a word, kissed her. He pressed her against him and kissed her deeply. How could a naive girl from twenty years ago be compared to this skilled scumbag's technique?
After a while, Nohara Nao’s gaze softened, her mind muddled. She didn’t know how to refuse, and her heart pounded wildly in her chest, with the sound of her own pulse echoing in her ears.
For the first ti in her life, , she felt completely dazed. Before the silly girl could react, Naruto had pulled her to behind a tree on the side of the road, their fingers intertwined and her hands raised above her head, pinned against the tree.
As Naruto kissed her, Nao didn’t think of resisting, but her thoughts were warm and slow, barely coherent.
Her mind went blank. She had never thought about kissing before, let alone the fact that her first kiss would be with soone as ordinary looking as Kitahiko.
She thought that there must be sothing wrong sowhere. Because logically, she would never fall in love with soone like him and it was impossible for her to have such emotions.
But her body was honest and was responding enthusiastically. Nao felt that her brain was going to break down, and everything were slipping out of her control. She was slowly falling into Naruto’s teasing advances, unable to push him away no matter how hard she tried.
Naruto showed no signs of stopping, as if he intended to devour her right there. She was a little afraid of being discovered, but also a little reluctant, and she was half-heartedly resisting but unable to push him.
Nao’s face flushed, and her heart raced. When they finally parted, she found herself unwilling to let go. Clutching his clothes, she looked up after a long pause and said softly, "What should we do?"
Asking Naruto what to do while he was already toying with her… What else can she do?
Nao, who had always kept her emotions tightly suppressed, was thrown off balance by the day’s events. Her rational mind wavered. Realizing she couldn’t resist him, she decided to let go completely.
"Why don’t you co to my place?" She leaned close to Naruto's ear and whispered.
She didn’t really understand those kinds of things, but after hearing so much, she didn’t see it as a big deal. During these turbulent tis, even her colleagues in the dical Departnt were getting more adventurous.
Everyone was under imnse pressure. The daily grind, the complex relationships, the relentless harassnt from admirers… Those Shinobi only have few thoughts every day.
It seed that everyone was seeking a way to vent their emotions. When words failed and only frustration remained, sotis intimacy beca the outlet.
In such a chaotic ti, when Shinobi uncertain of when they might be called to the battlefield, anxiety was inevitable. It wasn’t sothing that ntal fortitude alone could avoid, as it was a product of the general environnt.
The Five Great Shinobi Countries were no different. This was an era defined by Shinobi Wars, a savage ti where conflict over resources raged constantly. The peace that Hashirama had fought so hard to maintain had long since crumbled.
In just a few decades, countless large-scale wars had occurred. Even the mightiest Kage fell one by one, and the countless geniuses that erged perished in the at grinder of war.
In such tis, the so-called prodigies were nothing more than fleeting shooting stars. To truly leave a na behind, one had to do sothing as extre as Itachi did, destroying their entire clan.
"Go to your place? What for?" Naruto supported Nao and asked, but his eyes were filled with mischief and suggestion.
For a mont, Nao’s heart fluttered, overflowing with warmth. She had never imagined that she could read so much from soone’s gaze. Her face flushed as red as blood.
She couldn’t bring herself to say ‘sex’.
"Parallel Parking?" Naruto chuckled, saying sothing she didn’t quite understand.
The sky was growing darker as they wandered down the road, chatting idly. No matter how hard she tried, Nao couldn’t calm her nerves. Although she had already agreed to take him ho, why did it feel like she was the only one nervous?
She glanced at Naruto from the corner of her eye. He was still talking about trivial things, his expression relaxed, which only made her heart race faster.
Naruto, however, remained indifferent. He was more than experienced in these matters, and as soon as they stepped inside, both of them let loose. They did all the things that shouldn’t be explained, from the entrance to the bathroom.
Naruto, though, seed sowhat disinterested as he lay on a bed a hundred tis better than his tiny, dilapidated one. Looking at Nao, who is sleeping beside him, he was a little absent-minded.
Before she had completely lost her voice, she told Naruto that there were indeed many classified research materials in the dical Departnt. However, those records were typically stored in an abandoned archives and not accessible to ordinary people.
Even Nao had only stumbled upon the secret information by accident, which is a bit funny in hindsight. The resources at Konoha Hospital were stretched so thin that even classified data couldn’t be properly handled once it passed its expiration date.
Many of the materials had been deed worthless after verification, and a quick scan was done to sort out the important docunts. Those few important ones were kept, while the rest were simply piled up in an abandoned archive room.
Nao knew Naruto was after so classified information, but she didn’t have much of a reaction. Firstly, she really didn’t have the ti to care about it, and secondly, Naruto had been upfront about what he wanted.
It was just a classified docunt about dual personalities, and its authenticity wasn’t even guaranteed. She agreed to help him take a look, figuring it wouldn’t be too hard to find an opportunity to go in and search.
Dual personality research wasn’t exactly high-value classified material, and if it existed, it would most likely be in the abandoned archive. If it wasn’t there, they would figure sothing else out.
…
The next day.
For the first ti, Nohara Nao didn’t go to work at Konoha Hospital. Naruto, however, was unfazed, being a carefree vagabond with no obligations. Now that he had what he wanted, he was even more relaxed.
He didn't think that Nao could find the information, so it was safer to do it himself. But he didn’t plan on telling her that directly, after all, from what she knew, Naruto was just a Chunin.
