"Move aside! Don't block my way!" Bailu shouted from atop Bochang's back, waving her fists and tail to clear a path.
The crowd promptly parted, making room for them without daring to obstruct their progress.
Inwardly, they wondered:
"When did Lord Bailu start enforcing order?"
Against the flow, it took only a few dozen seconds for Bochang, Serval, and Bailu to reach the area where rift creatures had appeared.
Although not yet fully corrupted by the rift, this location...had indeed spawned rift creatures due to the Stellaron's influence.
If these monsters were not swiftly eliminated, the area would soon succumb to further rift corrosion, leading to more creature spawns—a vicious cycle.
Upon arriving at the front line, Bochang realized that the enemies were familiar foes.
Several Imaginary Weavers, nurous weak Thunderstrike, Windswirl, and Flaflow Constructs, along with one Stormbringer and a Blaze Out of Space confronted them.
Ahead, about a dozen Cloud Knights were already engaged in battle with the rift creatures.
Surveying the scene, he spotted injured civilians and wounded Cloud Knights scattered around street corners.
These individuals didn't require imdiate attention, as more Cloud Knights were continuously arriving to tend to the wounded.
Currently, Xianzhou Luofu had already abandoned several areas heavily affected by rift erosion, such as Cloudford and Stargazer Navalia...
The remaining Cloud Knights were concentrated in key prosperous districts, both to protect civilians and locate the Stellaron's position.
Even without Bochang's intervention, the invading rift creatures here wouldn't have caused significant chaos.
But now that he was present, their fate was sealed.
Bochang targeted the unattended Blaze Out of Space and hurled his spear. The Vow Spear pierced through the air like an arrow released from its bow, hurtling towards the humanoid black-red monster.
Hovering above the ground, the Blaze Out of Space manipulated flas, wreaking havoc on structures across Xianzhou Luofu.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Fireballs exploded, spreading flas in all directions. Buildings ignited and collapsed with deafening crashes; fortunately, most residents had already been evacuated...
Given the creature's destructive efficiency, many casualties would have occurred otherwise.
The Blaze Out of Space reveled in its destructive spree until confronted by a blue teor.
A chilling gleam emanated from the spear tip, aiming directly at its head, causing a sharp pain between its brows.
Unwilling to face the attack head-on, Blaze Out of Space swiftly evaded with a graceful movent, distancing itself significantly. Thinking it had avoided the strike, it was caught off guard as the Vow Spear abruptly changed course to follow its movents.
Terrified, the crimson-black humanoid monster waved its arms, commanding multiple fireballs to assault the Vow Spear. Just barely managing to alter its trajectory, the spear narrowly missed Blaze Out of Space, skimming past its head.
Then...
Blaze Out of Space's gaze fell upon Bochang. Earlier, several Cloud Knights had attempted to halt its rampage but were all repelled.
As an Elite Enemy, accompanied by over a dozen Flaflow Constructs, Blaze Out of Space indeed posed a formidable challenge.
Of course...
This held true only for ordinary Cloud Knights.
Bailu remained perched on Bochang's back, but sensing the imminent battle, she reluctantly jumped down.
With a sudden gesture, Blaze Out of Space pointed nacingly towards them.
The dozen Flaflow Constructs rushed forward, converging like a wall of fire—a sight truly daunting.
Normally, when Bochang and his comrades fought together, March 7th's rapid archery effortlessly disrupted the enemy formations.
But now...
With March 7th absent, it all depended on Bochang alone.
Just as he prepared to unleash a Dragon Blast,
Serval's voice echoed from beside him.
"Follow...my rhythm!"
Her slender fingers danced across the guitar strings, as the confident blonde took a step forward. Purple electrical sparks coursed along her body and the black guitar.
In the next mont...
Purple lightning descended from the sky, wildly arcing between the Flaflow Constructs.
Instantaneously.
A fierce interplay of thunder and flas triggered explosive blasts, scattering the constructs and disrupting their formation entirely.
Holding the black guitar, Serval skillfully wielded the power of lightning with impressive mastery.
Witnessing this, not to be outdone, Bailu retrieved her gourd, vigorously shook it a few tis, and then opened its lid, directing it towards the Flaflow Constructs. A torrent of swirling water burst forth from the tiny mouth of the gourd, instantly engulfing their airborne enemies.
Clearly, Bailu's gourd was a treasured artifact, likely with spatial properties; otherwise, it couldn't hold such a vast amount of water.
Having barely recovered from the lightning strike, the Flaflow Constructs were now overwheld by the flood. Their flas extinguished swiftly, leaving them montarily incapacitated.
Serval continued plucking her strings, unleashing more thunderous power. The Flaflow Constructs began to rapidly wilt and perish.
With Serval and Bailu working together seamlessly, they effortlessly killed most of the Flaflow Constructs, sparing only a few lucky survivors.
"Nice work," Bochang nodded in praise.
The petite Bailu smiled, "For , it was as easy as child's play."
Realizing these adversaries were formidable, Blaze Out of Space opted for a hit-and-run strategy. However, just as it started forming a fireball, the Vow Spear reappeared from behind, catching up once again.
Focused on Bochang and his allies, Blaze Out of Space keenly sensed the approaching danger from behind.
Sensing the approaching disturbance from behind, Blaze instinctively attempted to repeat its evasive maneuver.
"Still trying to run?" Bochang raised his hand and unleashed a powerful Dragon Blast directly at the target.
Caught between this pincer attack,
the Blaze Out of Space t its swift demise as flas engulfed its body, while the Vow Spear pierced through its head.
After striking down the enemy,
the fiery pillar did not stop but continued flying far into the distance.
Ultimately, it exploded several buildings, subrging them in a sea of flas with crackling sounds.
Even Bochang was startled by the destruction.
Fortunately, the area had been evacuated earlier, preventing any accidental injuries.
"Oh no... I might have overdone it. Hopefully nobody noticed." Bochang furtively glanced around, feeling uneasy.
The formidable Stormbringer had already been swiftly killed by the arriving Cloud Knights.
Only so minor creatures remained, unlikely to persist for long.
Everyone was now busy clearing the battlefield, with few paying attention to this incident.
At most, they were alard by the massive explosion sound.
Bailu and Serval definitely witnessed it, though.
The young dragon girl looked stunned and exclaid, "Bochang, why did you blow up Tingyun's Midfla Trading Company... so thoroughly, leaving not a single building intact? Um... surely you're not still harboring resentnt against her, right?"
Bailu spread her hands helplessly, her facial expression a mix of amusent and disbelief.
While this wasn't the headquarters of the Midfla Trading Company, it...
was still a significant branch, undoubtedly storing valuable goods within.
With one well-aid shot, Bochang efficiently demolished several interconnected buildings belonging to the Midfla Trading Company without causing any collateral damage.
It was hard for Bailu not to suspect ulterior motives.
"Ah? Tingyun's Midfla Trading Company? A misunderstanding, completely a misunderstanding! I hold no grudges or grievances against Tingyun; why would I target her? Besides, I wasn't even aware of her connection to the Midfla Trading Company." Bochang vigorously shook his head.
Although he was indeed the culprit, he refused to shoulder the bla unjustly.
Bailu placed a hand on her hip and warned, "If Tingyun finds out, she'll definitely co after you."
