Chapter 700: Chapter 703: Because, You Are My Best Sister_1

Su Xiaoxi had just made the ergency call when she saw Xiao Haotian covering his right hand with his left, his face full of bewildernt, and she asked, "Brother, what’s wrong?

"Ah, Zhang Miao is electrically charged." Xiao Haotian hesitated briefly before speaking.

"How is that possible?" Su Xiaoxi reached out to touch Zhang Miao’s hand after she spoke, but nothing happened.

Xiao Haotian’s face was filled with suspicion: "How could this be?"

He got up again and went to Zhang Miao’s side, but as soon as he touched her hand, he was imdiately hit by a blue electric current.

"This..." Su Xiaoxi watched this scene in astonishnt.

She continued to touch Zhang Miao, and still there was no problem.

Puzzled.

At this ti, the ambulance arrived.

Several nurses lifted Zhang Miao onto the ambulance. Everything went smoothly, and there was no incident of electrical shock.

Once inside the ambulance, a male paradic put an oxygen mask on Zhang Miao. During the procedure, he slightly touched Zhang Miao’s face and was imdiately hit by an electric current and passed out.

Everyone stared in dumbfounded shock.

Su Xiaoxi was even more flabbergasted.

The paradic who was knocked out by the electric current was wearing dical plastic gloves!

What happened to the rule that plastic is an insulator?!

Zhang Miao was still unconscious, and Su Xiaoxi didn’t have ti to think about other things. She helped get Zhang Miao to the hospital.

Arriving at the hospital, after Zhang Miao knocked out three male doctors in a row, Su Xiaoxi changed all Zhang Miao’s attending physicians to female doctors.

The doctor’s diagnosis was: due to excessive concern combined with her unique physiological changes during pregnancy, she suffered from a temporary shock and fell into a coma. But she was otherwise alright.

About half an hour later, Zhang Miao woke up.

She saw herself lying on a hospital bed with Xiao Haotian and Su Xiaoxi sitting by her side.

"What happened to ?" Zhang Miao, half sitting up, asked.

"Brother, can you step out for a while? Miao Miao and I have so girl talk." Su Xiaoxi said.

"Hmm, okay." Xiao Haotian nodded and left.

After Xiao Haotian left, Su Xiaoxi stared at Zhang Miao’s belly, giggling incessantly.

"What’s up?"

"Miao Miao, do you have any idea how big of a stir our little nephew has caused?" Su Xiaoxi said.

"Huh?"

Su Xiaoxi then told her about the electric shock incident that happened after Zhang Miao fainted.

"This must be the doing of my little nephew! I never thought that the genes of our Xiao family were so strong. My nephew, who is just four months old, can already manipulate AP particles. This must be the new generation of natural entities that Stabbing Gold and Dawn of Light spoke of. They are children born from the combination of gene modifiers, with the seventh brain domain activated from birth, giving them superpowers."

Su Xiaoxi paused, then excitedly added, "Although the children of gene modifiers often have extraordinary talents, my nephew’s talent is clearly superior."

Zhang Miao, however, remained expressionless: "Such a thing happened..."

"Eh, Miao Miao, you don’t seem too happy. Gene modifiers have serious fertility issues. Our baby has certainly faced hardships, but he’s made it through, and his talent is extraordinary. Isn’t that sothing to be happy about?" Su Xiaoxi asked, puzzled.

Zhang Miao was silent for a mont, then quietly said, "I nad him Yang Fan, hoping he could live a normal life as an ordinary person. This is not the outco I hoped for."

"Ah..." Su Xiaoxi paused for a mont, then said, "Even so, we do not have the right to choose our baby’s future. In chaotic tis, parents want their children to stay ho and live safely. However, children may not think so. Instead of staying at ho, they might prefer the tense and exciting outside world."

Whoo~

Zhang Miao took a deep breath, then chuckled, "You’re right. The na I gave him, Yang Fan, already carries my hopes for him. As for what kind of life he leads, that decision should be his to make."

"Mmhm." Su Xiaoxi paused, looked at Zhang Miao, smiled faintly, and said, "Miao Miao, you’re definitely going to be an excellent mother."

"Thank you for the complint." Zhang Miao stuttered a bit before continuing, "Speaking of which, Little Xi, you seem really happy."

"Well, hahaha, now that anyone touching you would get electrocuted, I don’t have to worry about my brother being made a cuckold anymore. Although it’s a bit unfortunate that even my brother can’t touch you."

Zhang Miao rolled her eyes and responded incredulously, "You’re pleased because now my fiancé, Gang, can’t touch

before the baby is born, right?"

Su Xiaoxi was a bit embarrassed after this comnt from Zhang Miao.

"Why, why would that be? Stop joking. You make it sound like I care so much about Gang."

"Oh, seeing you be so stubborn just frustrates . If I had known you were going to be this obstinate, I should have agreed to marry Gang when he jokingly proposed to . This lady excels at playing a role so convincingly it becos real."

"Hold on, Zhang Miao, don’t just do sothing on a whim. You’re currently my brother’s fiancée, carrying our Xiao family’s future heir. Moreover, you’ve said so yourself, you wouldn’t fight over a man with a troubleso woman like ." Su Xiaoxi started to panic.

"Right, right." Zhang Miao paused, looked at Su Xiaoxi, and said lightly, "Little Xi, about Gang, he currently..."

Su Xiaoxi stood up, walked to the window, looked out at the night sky and said, "I know. The one he likes right now is Xiaorou. I also realize that there’s no chance for us anymore. I’ve thought about letting go and completely breaking off our engagent. But... but... I just can’t bring myself to say it. Even though our engagent is already in na only. But, if we really did break it off, I... I..."

Her hand started to tremble.

Zhang Miao gently embraced Su Xiaoxi from behind and said calmly, "Little Xi, no matter what happens, I will always be on your side. Because you’re my best sister."

"Sorry for saying such willful things."

Zhang Miao chuckled, released her hold and straightened up, and also started looking out the window in the direction of Australia.

"Just from here you can see the lightning storm over the Land of Fallen. You can tell that this monster invasion is extraordinary. I wonder if Gang and the others are okay?"

----

In Illa Town, Land of Fallen, Australia, at so hotel.

"Holy crap!" Yang Gang lay on the balcony, looking in shock at the sky over the Land of Fallen.

At this mont, what was supposed to be a deep-night sky over the Land of Fallen was illuminated as if it were day by the endless light in the depths of the sky.

At the end of the sky, lightning snakes intertwined, making a sizzling sound.

If we put it nicely, the whole scene was spectacular. But if we were being pessimistic, it was terrifying!

Just then,

Boom!

With a resounding noise, the sky seed to tear open. Deep within the cris-crossing light, a huge, narrow black hole appeared.

Then, balls of green light started to squeeze out of the black hole one by one, plumting directly towards the ground.

Those balls of green light seed to be so kind of sturdy magic barrier that could pierce through the Earth’s atmosphere.

After a long wait, the crowd began to scream and shout.

"It’s a monster! The monster is coming!"

Yang Gang activated his infrared eye and took a look, his face changing slightly.

Those green light balls truly were monsters!

Although a lot of their green energy had been worn away by the high temperature of atmospheric friction during their plunge, they still managed to land successfully in the end.

"Oh, it, it’s so terrifying." Gong Shuiyan’s legs were trembling a bit. She looked at Yang Gang, her eyes red and swollen, "Senior, I got so information. All the residents outside the Land of Fallen have been evacuated from the Australian continent. We’ve been abandoned. Uh, senior, I don’t want to die a virgin..."
