Waves surged on the sea, and indigo-colored clouds chased each other under the moon.

The silent and desolate abandoned dock flickered with flashlight beams and shadows of people.

A group of people broke through the endless darkness and t with another group.

Seeing the arrivals, Xiao Li hurried forward to greet them respectfully, "President Fu."

The flashlight beam then focused on a figure lying on the ground.

The person was lying face down, his wet suit covered in mud and sand, with a pool of blood beside him.

He was turned over, his face mixed with fine sand and sared with blood exposed to the air, shot once in each limb and the heart, flesh churned and lifeless.

"What do you say?" Fu Yinli’s half face was hidden in the dim light and shadows, his presence ominous and fierce.

"His wife ended him herself; we couldn’t stop her, she just left."

Housekeeper Zhao looked at him with a grim expression, saying coldly, "Just dying like this is too easy for him."

Back when he brought Mr. Fu and Shao Ming back from the island, the two seed to have crawled out of hell, with almost no part of them unscathed.

This person plotted and sched for family wealth and status, disregarding kinship and causing his siblings to lose favor with the old man.

He even extended his claws to the younger generation.

First, he frad Mr. Fu to go abroad, forcing him to a deserted island for survival, then hired assassins to silence him, incited chaos and attacks, attempted to push Mr. Fu to his death; each act devoid of humanity, showing no remorse.

Fu Yinli asked casually, "Did he say anything before he died?"

Xiao Li then handed him a voice recorder.

When the button was released, Fu Kuangzheng’s voice spread out.

"Does Fu Yinli dare to kill ? He wouldn’t dare; I’m his uncle. He killed his brother with his own hands; he wouldn’t dare to do it again. To his mother, he’s just a bastard."

"So young, daring enough to kill even his unborn brother, he deserved to be abandoned."

"He probably doesn’t know, but the person who killed his unborn brother was , I tampered with Chu Yingrou’s soup. It doesn’t feel good being hated by your own mother, does it?"

Hearing this, Fu Yinli gripped the voice recorder tightly, the veins concealed beneath his cuffs.

Innocently wronged for over twenty years, even as the truth was revealed now, it couldn’t undo the harm the Fu Family gave him.

Branded with the cri of fratricide, he clawed his way through over twenty years; the thorn in his heart had long fused with his bones and blood, uninterested in any repentance or forgiveness.

He disdained to tell anyone in the Fu Family about this truth, the Fu Family had long decayed, leaving only a cold, hypocritical shell to hold it up.

However, Fu Kuangzheng didn’t expect that the old man would rather pass on the position to a cold-blooded person who seeks selfish gains than hand over the Fu Group to him; also didn’t foresee his tragic death at the hands of his wife.

Still, dying like this, it’s too easy for him.

When the recording was played, everyone could hear it, Housekeeper Zhao angrily kicked the cold corpse, cursing under his breath.

Xiao Li felt sympathetic, previously unaware of the dismal mories and past his boss had experienced, unable to imagine how he climbed to his current position in the Fu Family under the accusation of fratricide.

In the dark, windy night, that noble, mysterious figure stood; no one dared to regard him with pity.

"President Fu, how should we handle the body?" Xiao Li asked aloud.

"Throw it into the sea."

The voice was chillingly cold, his deep and sharp brows indifferent, making him seem especially eerie at this mont.

Fu Yinli held the voice recorder, leaving the place without turning back.

Under the mottled light and shadows, several people carried the body and threw it into the center of the sea, it was subrged beneath the sinister night, amidst the sound of waves.

Back in the car, Housekeeper Zhao glanced at the person behind him, asking, "Sir, where to?"

"To the manor."

The sound carried a hint of desolation, without a trace of hesitation. That face, subrged thoroughly in darkness, leaving only a harsh air stirring the magnetic field around.

...

The next afternoon, Su Lingzhi went downstairs in search of food and saw Housekeeper Zhao.

She wanted to avoid him but couldn’t.

Housekeeper Zhao blocked her path, "Miss, Sir needs you now."

The word "needs" entirely disrupted her previously calm mind; Su Lingzhi’s clear eyes reflected a ripple of emotion.

"What happened to him?"

Clearly, he was wrong first, yet upon hearing about his situation, she couldn’t help but instinctively care.

Housekeeper Zhao’s expression was heavy, "You should go back and see for yourself."

Su Lingzhi got into the car and followed Housekeeper Zhao back to the manor villa.

In the living room, the man sat with long legs crossed on the sofa, his black shirt ironed smooth, exuding a noble solitude, while holding a folder in his hand.

His gaze t hers, and a hint of surprise flashed in his deep-set eyes.

Yet the calm appearance he held now didn’t resemble soone with problems at all.

Su Lingzhi’s first reaction was that Uncle Zhao had tricked her, but at that mont, Uncle Zhao was no longer behind her, having gone sowhere unknown.

She clenched her hands, resolved to leave.

Fu Yinli stopped her just in ti, "Since you’ve returned, why leave again?"

Su Lingzhi’s back stiffened; she explained aloud, "It wasn’t my intention to return, Uncle Zhao deceived into coming back."

"What did he deceive you about?"

The folder in his hand was placed on the table, then he rose and approached her.

His figure overshadowed her, arms trapping Su Lingzhi’s body in his embrace, his distinct scent enveloping her.

"What did he deceive you about?" Fu Yinli asked again, his tone lower than before.

Su Lingzhi bit her lip, remaining silent, frustrated by her lack of resolve; clearly, he acted excessively, disregarding her circumstances, yet every ti, she always compromised with him first.

The more she struggled, the tighter Fu Yinli’s grip beca, pressing against her cold cheek without uttering a word, refusing to let her go.

"Fu Yinli, let go."

Su Lingzhi was trapped by his strong, massive physique, her back tightly pressed against him, his powerful heartbeat pounding against her.

Ultimately, she gave up struggling and asked him softly, "Will you go even further next ti?"

"As long as you don’t leave , there won’t be a next ti."

Sothing seed to clutch her heart firmly; compressing against her brow might alleviate so of the dull ache inside.

She turned her head and looked at his profound face, "You don’t really trust ; from the beginning till now, whenever you see with another man, you assu I’ve wronged you. Whenever you feel unhappy, you use your power to pressure secretly, without considering my feelings. Actually, this ti you did consider my feelings; you chose to hide things from for your selfish desires. But your actions scare , do you understand?"

Fu Yinli’s face instantly darkened, his tone incredibly eerie, "You fear ?"
