Ting clung to them all afternoon.

Even if Ling wanted a hug, she only reluctantly allowed it briefly.

It was the sa attitude when it ca to Song Cheng hugging her.

But her behavior was extraordinarily different with the Su sisters.

At nightfall, An Chenyu and Madam Tong returned from outside, then joined Song Cheng to pay respects to the two seniors.

The Su sisters were living next door in the residence that once belonged to Lady Zhushan.

In front of Song Cheng, Su Ningyu might seem very "immature," but she was, in fact, the "Ancestral Master" of Pearl Mountain Taoist Temple, the entire temple revered her.

As for Su ngzhen, she reluctantly t the two won out of respect for Song Cheng. After acknowledging their presence with a greeting, she also instructed them about the dicinal herbs needed.

The lukewarm eting soon ended.

Both parties were people from different worlds, and their connection was coincidental due to Song Cheng, and that was all.

That night, Song Cheng, Miss An, and Madam Tong relived a beautiful dream.

A Ruyi Jingu Bang, after battling the Flowing Sand River, went on to fight Trap Empty Mountain.

It took a long ti to stop.

After stopping, both won seed sowhat disappointed.

After not seeing him for several months, both felt as though another woman had taken their man away, moving further and further away, their silhouettes no longer visible.

Song Cheng didn’t hide it from the won and retold the matter of the Su sisters and their status.

"Now my An Family is truly bound to a noble family," An Chenyu said with mixed feelings. Although her family’s status had risen, she felt as if she had lost sothing.

Madam Tong said sowhat sadly, "Even the Fox Immortal doesn’t look at us with respect..."

Song Cheng said, "It will get better."

He hugged the two won with affection.

Sensing his feelings, they also regained so joy.

...

...

Next door.

The Su sisters were also chatting.

"Yu, I can be cold to Tong Jia and An Chenyu, but you can’t."

"..."

"Song Cheng must have hoped you would get along well, bringing us here. So, you shouldn’t be indifferent to them... Tomorrow, you should move in with them. Not for their sake but for Song Cheng; you should be sensible," said the older sister.

"I understand..."

Su Ningyu sighed.

In her eyes, all mortals were inconsequential passersby. She didn’t understand why Song Cheng would care about these people so much... but if Song Cheng cared, then she would learn to care as well.

...

...

The next day...

Early in the morning.

The dicinal herbs Su ngzhen requested had arrived. She pinched open a tal pill, summoned a large cauldron, and began to perform alchemy to solidify Song Cheng’s realm.

Elsewhere,

Su Ningyu arrived next door and saw, in the morning light, Song Cheng and An Chenyu helping a little girl walk, while not far away, Madam Tong bent down with her arms outstretched, imitating a walk with a little boy. Two maidservants were bustling about.

Song Cheng was the first to look up, but before he could speak, Ting raised her head and called out in her milky voice, "Ha!"

Su Ningyu locked eyes with the little girl.

Her eyes were clear and pure, impossibly clean.

The sound of her milk-soaked laughter stirred the soul.

The air suddenly grew quiet.

Recalling her sister’s words and her own attachnt to Song Cheng, and that although the little girl was a mortal, she was Song Cheng’s daughter, and moreover... the little girl was so affectionate towards her.

She too smiled and called out, "Ting."

Ting, as if oblivious to everyone else, moved towards the pretty sister, executing her "Flat Ground Tumble" technique flawlessly.

Su Ningyu rushed forward, helping Song Cheng and An Chenyu catch her.

Three hands reached out to Ting simultaneously.

Suddenly, a mutual feeling of closeness erged amongst them.

An Chenyu said with a smile, "Sister Yu, you haven’t eaten breakfast yet, have you? I’ve deliberately invited all the chefs from the famous restaurants of Hanping Prefecture, and by now breakfast should be ready."

Su Ningyu looked at this beautiful woman, also one of Song Cheng’s wives, and the barrier in her heart slowly lted away. She responded with the deanor of a seasoned senior, "That must have been a lot of work for you."

Afterward, the whole family went to the dining hall. A long table was set, and the servants started presenting dish after dish, amounting to over a hundred varieties in total.

Su Ningyu ate elegantly, chewing slowly, her eyes haughty, her presence filled with nobility. Combined with her nation-toppling beauty, she was nothing short of an artistic masterpiece.

Ting kept trying to crawl into her lap, leaving her own mother quite perplexed.

As evening approached, An Chenyu pulled Song Cheng aside and said, "Your little girl seems to know the difference between beauty and ugliness... If she encounters soone beautiful, she wants them to hold her."

Song Cheng couldn’t help but laugh and then whispered in An Chenyu’s ear, "Don’t be fooled by your Sister Yu’s deanor. When she eats with , it’s not like this."

An Chenyu chuckled and said, "I can tell. Although Sister Yu is a senior, the things she has experienced may not be as nurous as mine..."

Song Cheng murmured, "Not just may not be, her cunning is but a facade."

The more Song Cheng interacted with little Yu, the more he understood this young fox spirit.

The initial image of a "deceptive, impenetrable Mystic Realm expert" had long since collapsed.

This was just a girl who, soon after setting out, had botched things due to poor communication and lack of vigilance and got sealed by a "target of investnt"; in the Yin Residence, she was just "a young girl who, being too naive herself, had to mimic her sister’s Divine Soul."...

She hadn’t experienced the harshness of the world.

She’d been directly conned in the ga of deception.

No wonder Su Houzhang acted with such unconcern, planning to use her as expendable material.

There was no other reason; little Yu was genuinely naive.

This was just "an immature girl who, despite not having grown up, insisted on keeping a straight face, imitating her sister’s mature persona."

Perhaps in terms of power, she was leagues above An Chenyu.

But without power, a hundred of her would be completely outmaneuvered by An Chenyu.
